Laurisa White Reyes was the editor-in-chief of Middle Shelf Magazine and is the author of several middle grade and young adult novels. She brings much experience to the table and teachers and homeschooling parents can count on her expertise. Reyes takes kids from start to finish on the basics of a good story, written well. She takes them through the process of finding and developing characters, along with the reason a good backstory for each character is not only helpful, it is essential.
