Renner Caldwell has her life perfectly mapped out. She has the ideal relationship, the perfect job, and all is right in her world. When a shameful turn of events happens, she boards the first plane bound for Ireland to lick her wounds and get her head back on straight.

Cillian O'Braidagh is the sexy front man to the Irish rock band, Over The Edge. His rising fame and sultry voice make him every woman's fantasy come true. Not to mention his single-minded determination. To put it simply: what Cillian wants, Cillian always gets. And he wants Renner, because there's just something about the flame-haired beauty he has to possess.

If their relationship was just about sex and rock n' roll, it would be easy for them to get lost in their desires. Only their relationship is anything but a hook-up. Will lies, deceit, and hidden tragedy get in the way, making the path to true love uncertain? Or will the girl whose been knocked off course find her footing with the man who is teaching her it's okay to lose control?

Note from Sawyer Bennett: This book is part of the Off Series but it can be heard as a standalone book. Nothing in the prior or subsequent books will diminish your understanding of this novel. This is a New Adult, Contemporary Romance.

SPOILERS*********

I'm always amazed at how differently we view our stories. That's what make reviews on GR so interesting and insightful. I'm grateful to have all these various opinions here, which is why I always come back for more.

This is how I know that readers love this hero. To me he is one of the worst I've come across when it comes to loving, protecting and respecting his heroine.

Maeve is the ow. His "babe", as he calls her numerous times. His "honey". His "darling".
Also in the hero's own words: “my very good friend and my former lover.".........“and we have sizzling chemistry on the stage......" ANY AND ALL crap he thinks about her after this is invalid because his actions prove that she controls him.

She is an alcoholic. Has tried to commit suicide more than once. Is obsessed with the H, stalks him and is abusive to the h. She lies about her past to hold his attention. Manipulates the H, who admittedly is easy to manipulate. Basically the book revolves around her obsession with him, with the heroine thrown in for the sex factor of the story.

Renner is the h. Not much to say here. Cos she's just...there...

Cillian is the "hero".
No alpha.
His life right now is looking after the ow, in hospital, at his flat, rehab, etc etc. He makes excuses for her. Again and again.Throughout the book. She is his first thought, his main concern, the reason that he can't have a relationship with the h. His choice. For all intents and purposes SHE is his heroine because he spends more time with her than Renner and his life revolves around her needs. Eww.

Apart from these points below there are ENDLESS other issues I'm not even touching on.

So he chooses her above the h, from beginning to end of this book.
@ start of book excerpt:
“...I couldn't follow through with anything more than that fucking fantastic kiss (with heroine) because something more important had come up: ..I got a call from Maeve......"

excerpt @ 34%
.....I curse myself a thousand times for not even thinking about being available to Maeve while I was gone. It never occurred to me she would call this soon, yet that doesn't excuse my lapse in judgment.....

excerpt @ 45%
.....Pulling my phone out, I quickly connect the call before she hangs up. My heart is beating like mad—terrified I'll miss her call and send her over the edge again......

Excerpt @ 61%
He protects her by not revealing his feelings for the h.
“She's just someone I'm seeing. No big deal.”

excerpt @ 80 %
“Brady (a complete stranger, a guy they've literally just met, who turns out to be be an abusive asshole) can you take Renner back home so I can handle this?” ("This" being Maeve, of course)

Page 306 of 363 excerpt @ 85%
“. "I'm sorry then. I don't like ultimatums but if you're sure you want to give it, I choose Maeve. Her needs are just a bit more important than yours right now.”

excerpt @ 87%
“Let me ask you this. Where's Maeve right now?"
"She's at my apartment. Why?"
"Gah, you’re daft. How in the fuck do you think it can work with Renner when you're harboring a known psychopath—who walks around half-naked from what I understand—in your home?"
Hero: "That's harsh............have a care. Maeve has serious problems I'm trying to help her with.”

Oh, he has his come-to-Jesus moment, but the cliche': "too little, too late" comes to mind. A least to MY mind cos the heroine obviously accepts his belated, unbelievable, insincere excuse-for-a-grovel. Which he immediately follows up with how much he still cares about the ow...sigh...

excerpt @ 97%
“In hindsight, I realize now that there are a million ways I could have helped Maeve that would have never caused you a minute of pain”

IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED WITH:

excerpt:
“... I'll always worry about her and Father O'Grady would probably have a stroke to hear this, but I pray every night for her well-being and safety.”

Then:
Some sexy touchy stuff.....

And then....

The End.

First off, I LOVED the first three books in this series. I saw that the 4th was going to have an Irish theme and thought “Uh, Oh”. If Irish is being done it needs to be done right, especially for an Irish girl like myself. I am 47, I no longer live in Ireland but spent 24 years there and visit there at least 2 or 3 times a year. It can be done by non-Irish authors, PAMELA CLARE, comes to mind, especially Carnal Gift. It can be done dreadfully, NORA ROBERTS comes to mind, especially Irish Hearts – OMG, scarred me for life and never went back to reading her. Saying that I love the J.D. ROBB, In Death series….. but, I digress ….

Problem number one – NAMES.
Cady – origin is American.
Keefe – no such name that I have every heard of. Maybe the author did not mean for the names to be Irish but as they were Irish characters I presume she meant for them to have sort of Irish names. When I criticized another author in a review for using a name that is never used in Ireland, especially as a male name she got bit defensive I thought. I feel if I have paid good money for a book I am entitled to my opinion.

I know I am going to sound as if I am nit-picking here but I am Irish so I tend to be super critical if I am reading anything that pertains to Ireland or Irish characters.

Cady orders two BEAMISH STOUTS for us….. “Here ye are, darlin’”, he says. First off, I seriously do not know any girl/woman in Ireland who would order Beamish…. Guinness, maybe, but no, not Beamish. Maybe in Cork, but not in Dublin. And if a Bartender called me “Darlin’” I would fucking deck him. Would he call my husband “Darlin’”? – I think not. Yes, I am being harsh but if authors have not even visited the country they are writing about I think I deserve to state my humble opinion.

Cillian uses the word “vacation”. Irish people do not use that word – we say “holiday”.

Cillian says…. “Why? Because I’m Irish I can only eat corned beef and cabbage or something?” OK, let me say that nobody in Ireland eats corned beef and cabbage, it is always BACON and cabbage. The corned beef is really an American invention. At least he ordered “chips” with his burger and not “fries”.

OK, I need to back down and just try and enjoy the book without picking on everything.

OK, lets get some positives in …. She uses the word “ye” – YES – I use that all the time. It is a real Irish thing. She calls the mother “MAM”, yes we do that too.

OK, another rant – Sean – I have a son called Seán. If she wanted to be authentic she would have used the “síne fada” because it seriously annoys me when I get report cards from school and teachers have not bothered to use it. He is in an International School system so they must be used to accents on French names etc.
At least she has the “síne fada” in “Sláinte”.

OK, Mo Mo …

OK, getting a good bit of reading in here without any criticism….

Maeve, would you ever ….

I did like it. Yes, I think, being Irish, I was a bit over critical. I am sure Irish bartenders do “ham” it up for the Yanks, and the Yanks probably love that, imagining that every Irish person speaks like Tom Fucking Cruise in “Far and Away”.

I will give it 3.5 stars…. Looking forward to Flynn’s story.

This is my least favorite in Sawyer Bennett's 'Off' Series. If it were a stand alone I would not recommend it but since it is part of a series you may want to include it so you are up-to-date for future books.

Renner Caldwell has barely survived a shameful turn of events and heads to Ireland to be with her cousin and work in their family pub. She runs into a man she was once very attracted to...Cillian.

Cillian O’Braidagh is an Irish Rock Star who I did not care for in the least. He is a man-whore and gladly sings his own praises...constantly!! He is somewhat sickening. He puts the 'A' in arrogant and he is so full of himself that I began skipping forward. I, at least, wanted to know the ending so I would be up-to-date when I began the next installment. He is an A$$ who states 'What Cillian wants, Cillian gets' and unfortunately he does. Every woman wants him. He is a sex addict in my opinion and a party animal. On top of arrogant, self-serving, cocky, worst man-whore I have ever read about, he is even stupid and that is a huge turn off. The man can't see the forest for the trees so to speak. His whole life revolves around sex, his music, and partying. Wow what a grown up! Sorry, but the man gave me the creeps.

This book is full of lies, deceit, tragedy, stupidity and ignorance (Cillian's) and sex...lots of sex. The sex is void of romance, it is just a, let's see...how does Cillian refer to it? Ah yes, just a F&@K! How crude is that? It is on his mind 24/7 and I believe the man had no depth whatsoever.

Cillian, in my books, was non-redeemable because of what he did to Renner. I don't know if there would be anything that could make up for what he did and who he chose. Disgusting. The F-bombs were unacceptable. There were 399 instances in five short books and I found it just too much. As far as cursing, not so much, just f-bombs.

By the way...I did go back and read the whole book. I can't give a fair review if I skipped around.

4 Cillian stars!!

Why have I been ignoring this series for so long? Why?

This book is totally adorable. Decent plot, great pacing, wonderful characters, even though I couldn't, for the life of me, know how to pronounce all their names. But whatever, Cillian is just sexy and he totally stirs my mojo. And I love Renner! Love the name and the personality that goes with it.

I'm definitely reading the other books from this series. :D

"You're all grown up now, Renner. I'm bettin' you could handle me now."

description

Five years ago when visiting Ireland, a starry-eyed Renner and young lead singer Cillian shared one evening and a scorching kiss, but he moved on and she returned home. Now Renner has run back to Dublin to work in her Uncle's pub and hide away from her failed relationship and career. She just needs a fresh start to figure out what to do with her life. And Cillian is back is back in Dublin too. He is now a nationally known Irish rock star with his band Over The Edge...and surprisingly he still has his eye on Renner.

description

Renner is usually the good girl who follows the rules. The few times she has not, it has ended badly for her. She's pretty, smart, sassy, and is trying her best to not be interested in Cillian. He does not fit with her ideal idea of safe and stable. But her past choices have left her insecure and unsure of her own judgment.

Cillian is too powerful....too carnal..and if I don't buck up against his brand of magic, I'm going to be lost.

Cillain is flirty, cocky, sexy, and controlling. Once he sets his mind on something, he goes for it full force. He pushes, he challenges, he almost stalks, but that Irish brogue, charm, and devastating charisma finally begins to wear her down. She finally realizes that sometimes safe and structured are not always best and it's fun to take a little walk on the wild side. And Cillian is deeper than she realizes. His past shapes his present in almost everything he does. But Renner is good for him and he is in turn is good for her. They have hot chemistry and enjoy being together. They are an unlikely pair: The man who lives the rock star life and needs control, and the rule follower who does not like being told what to do. On the surface, they do not seem to fit, but in reality they could be just what the other needs.

Every time he speaks to me, every sentiment that comes from his heart...it's like I find myself submersing into the warm depths of his soul. He is so different than what I had actually expected he'd be, and it seems I'm constantly marveling over the connection that is growing.

"It's hard for me to describe what Cillian's words do to me. They touch something that lives in a dark place, deep inside of me. They awaken something in my body that I didn't know was sleeping."

But it is not easy and Cillian is forced to deal with issues that creep in from his past and affect his present. He has a band member that is willing to do anything she has to in order to sabotage Renner and Cillian's new found relationship. I really really disliked Maeve to the point I wanted to snatch her by the hair or smack her. And she is not the only issue, they have plenty of things that cause confusion, insecurities, and fear. And there were times I wanted to shake Cillian and Renner too. But for the most part, I really loved them both. They both showed personal growth and were strong in their convictions.

But are they strong enough to hold it together or they destined to break apart?

I enjoyed the fact that this book takes place in Ireland as it made it an interesting and fun back drop. I loved the music theme and rock star component. The side characters like her cousin Cady, friend Teagan, his band member Sean, and her brother Flynn added humor and fun. I would love to see more with these characters in the future. I really enjoy this series and feel like each book is a stand alone in it's own right and has a completely different vibe than the previous ones. This one is no exception. But it is also enjoyable to see glimpses of the past characters or hear about them. It is a hard decision for me, but I think this one just moved ahead as my fave book in this series. Something about that Irish rock star just melted my heart(Sorry Nix and Linc, but you have been replaced).

Thanks to Sawyer Bennett for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Will be posted at Reviews by Tammy and Kim.

I went into this one a little nervous. After reading a couple of reviews, I started to question if I should read it. I hate OW drama. So seeing some of the reviews about Maeve had me almost not reading this one.

I will say I was pleasantly surprised that it was better than I anticipated. Just slightly though. I wanted to like Cillian. And I do realize that he was trying to come from a good place in how he reacted and handled everything with Maeve. But when given an ultimatum and he chose Maeve, yep, he lost me for good.

It also really makes him quite stupid really. Sean and Daniel both told him that Maeve was obsessed with him. Both called her a stalker. The fact that this man couldn't figure out she was playing him was getting just ridiculous.

He did redeem himself after Renner left, but still, he'll never make a top list for any book boyfriend, EVER.

I'm glad the author wrote her snippet after the epilogue, because honestly, it pissed me right off. The epilogue is supposed to wrap up our current couple and this one most definitely did not do that. So I'm glad she explained it. I'm already invested in this series, so I'll definitely be reading Flynn's story, but I'm glad we will see more of the rest of the crew.

Cillian and Renner
Renner is in Ireland visiting family when her cousins I troduces her to musician Cillian. They have a hot and heavy kiss but she’s a 17 yo V and he’s a 19 yo horny guy. When she breaks it off he finds another girl
To get busy with and she flies home
To New Jersey. 5 years later after a messy break up Renner returns to Ireland. Cillian sees her and immediately wants her. He pursues her hot and heavy. This should have given you the feels but no it was just blah. Idk if it was the constant push back from
The h or what. There were just no sparks flying it felt blah. So Renner finally gives in and they have a smutty good time. She’s feeling it and then enter the ow who is the bass player for Cillians euro famous band. He and the ow hooked up about a year ago but broke up. Now she’s an alcoholic supposedly suicidal mess. She’s like got the fatal attraction thing going on. She’s using the suicide card as a mind game to get Cillian back. Even though all of his friend warn him he just wants to help Maeve. It’s clear to everyone she’s gone psycho Glen Close… but the pseudo alpha Cillian is just too dumb to see he’s being played. When Maeve the psycho arranges a double date for her and another crazy and Renner and Cillian. She fakes a mental break down and Cillian drops his love Renner into the care of the unsub and races off to take The ow to the nut farm. Maeve’s date the unsub roughs Renner up because she won’t have sex with him. She tries to call Cillian. Next morning Renner goes to Cillians. Maeve walks out of his bedroom at 10 am half naked. Cillian explains nothing happened. He slept on the couch. Renner knowing that Maeve is playing Cillian tells him to choose. He chooses Maeve because he doesn’t want to Feel guilty if she kills herself: Renner leaves and flies back to NJ. Finally Cillian has a come to
Jesus moment and realizes Maeve is an obsessed psycho lying bitch who just wants to be his everything. He hunts down Renner and she forgives him way to quick and easy. He confesses that he will always pray for and want the best for the ow but Renner is his love. Guess what, I didn’t even care because this book was so flat. Cillian just sounded like the teacher from Charlie Brown blah blah blah blah blah blah. 😑 skimmed a lot. I’ve read other books by this author that I really enjoyed. This just lacked the feels.

Off Course is book 4 of the Off series by Sawyer Bennett. A standalone, contemporary romance told from both points of view with a happy ending.

✔️ Hot, Irish rocker hero
✔️ Opposites attract

Renner Caldwell had planned out her life since forever: perfect reliable man, perfect job, 2.5 kids and a white picket fence until a twist of fate propels her to Ireland where she reconnects with Cillian O’Braidagh.
Cillian is a friend of Renner’s family and an up and coming rock star who gets what he wants. And he wants Renner.
He doesn’t fit in Renner’s ideal though, so sexy times is about all they can hope for. But their connection runs deeper than just carnal pleasure. But with the skeletons in their closet, can they find a way to navigate their way to forever?
I LOVED Cillian! He’s sexy, flirty, controlling with a touch of cockiness. And don’t even remind me of that Irish brogue! He’s devastatingly charming and I really enjoyed watching him grow as a person, incited by his love for Renner.

Best in the series, I loved this one. A hot alpha rock star, a sweet but wise h that didn't take any of his BS and even a psycho ex that I didn't mind in this book. That said I wanted to slap Cillian upside the head for being so dense, it really hacked me off that he could not see the way he was being manipulated. Great grovel though

I received the ARC for a honest review..

Oh where do I start? Cillian, Cillian, Cillian..I freaking love you! He plays no games when it comes to what he wants and what he wants is Renner :)

I was hooked from the beginning and loved every minute of it. We meet Renner who is the Nix and Linc's cousin. She ran away from he home in Jersey to Ireland with her cousin. Some things happened as you will read that made her leave.
While working at the pub she sees Cillian (hot rock star..check! lol)..now mind you, 5 years earlier she had a steamy encounter while she was there visiting. so she's thinking he wouldn't remember her, but he sure does. From that moment on, I got sucked in. Renner is a strong person and wasnt giving into him so easily.. When they finally got together it was hot.total hotness is all I can say :)

"F***..the things I did to her last night practically had me blushing, and I thought I had seen and done it all" - Cillian

Now there are some obstacles they had to get over (not giving away anything), but I was rooting for them all the way. Overall I loved this book, just like the rest of the series. You will not be disappointed!

The 5th and final book is going to be about her brother Flynn, and I cant wait for that one :)

Saywer you are amazing! That is all <3

Oh, Cillian! You can devastate me anytime!! Sawyer Bennett does it again - delivering another sexy, alpha male with heart. I love her heroes - they are strong, confident, but always caring, and Cillian exemplifies these traits. But it's not all about the hero, is it? no, way. Renner is awesome and gives it right back to him! A sexy, heartfelt romance...

5 HOT ASS STARS!!!! LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!

Renner has been introduced to us in a past book, but with Off Course her character is brought to light. She is a straight shooter that seems to do everything by the book. She wants a perfect life with a business style man, but her ideas of perfect go out the window when she is hurt and lied to by the man she loves.

Cillian is rocker BABE!!! He has a fast paced life that suites his needs. He is successful and enjoys music with is band mates. He is also a blast from Renner's past, but there night of introductions is short lived.

After five years both their lives change and somehow...somewhere they are brought back together.

The tension that they once shared is electric, but the drama they have in their lives now can push them farther away!!!

Good stuff Sawyer!!!

Disappointing. I was pretty excited when I found out this was set in Ireland and our hunky hero was Irish, but well... this one did not do it for me. Why you ask? First let me say that this really could have been a promising read. If not for my major issue with this book (which is very well a major part of this book), I would've liked it more. The major issue -- Cillian's pathetically blind devotion to Maeve. Everyone who's read the blurb know our man Cillian is in a world-famous rock band. Maeve is one of Cillian's bandmates and boy, I have not hated a character this much in so long. And what I feel towards Maeve is a whole plethora of negative and hostile vehemence. To make matters worse, her actions and all-around unstable mental state wasn't even justified. She didn't have a difficult childhood, she was loved, she had everything (she's a freakin' rockstar), etc... So where was all this psychopathic tendencies coming from?? Anyway, yeah you can have a crazy person obsessed with a main character (adds drama and whatnot), but for the supposed H to actually justify and condone her insane and borderline psychotic behavior? And even feel guilt and sympathy for her? Not to mention, chooses said lunatic over the supposed heroine?? Aw hell no. I didn't sign up for that. When that certain scene of him verbally choosing the bitch instead of the h happened, I almost DNF-ed it I was so mad and turned off with Cillian, but decided to just finish it cause I wanted to see what kind of groveling he had to do. And no, I didn't feel the satisfaction after getting to the last page. Yes, he groveled. Yes, he did some grand gestures. But did he really have to wait for someone to tell him the truth about the lying bitch (yes, that's what I'm calling Maeve) before kicking her out and realizing he loved Renner more than his misplaced sense of guilt and responsibility? If he realized he made the wrong decision of not choosing her moments after he did and started his groveling without having to know the truth first about the bitch then maybe, yeah. Oh and one last (major) thing that really angered me: leaving your girlfriend in the hands of a guy who you thought was sketchy af and asking him to take her home (and be alone with him, mind you) so you can "deal" with another woman... HUMONGOUS. DICK. MOVE. If the guy I'm with did that to me? Uh, yeah... BYE FELICIA. Considering said sketchy dude did try something with Renner UGH. I hated it. Be with someone who cared enough about your safety and well-being to not leave you with some random sketchy guy. It's a no for me.

Sawyer Bennett makes the best book boyfriends EVER. Take Cillian O'Bradaigh from Off Course (Off Series #4) for example. On the outside, he looks the part of the bad boy - tats, piercings, man whore, lead singer in a rock band. On the inside, he's SO much more. He's determined, intelligent, loyal and brave. And, to top it all off... he's got a sexy-as-hell accent. You want to know more, right?

Renner is taking some time off in Ireland after getting out of a bad relationship. While working in her uncle's bar, she meets Cillian, whom she had had a brief but lasting encounter with five years earlier. Cillian immediately starts pursuing her, despite her constantly shooting him down. But, Renner isn't immune to Cillian's charms and falls under his spell. Things should be hunky dory after that, but there are those in Cillian's life who aren't as in love with Renner as he is.

Bennett has this ability to create characters that are everything I love. I've already mentioned all the wonderful things about Cillian. Renner is equally as awesome. She was dealt a crap hand at work and came through it okay. Cillian was an ass to her once, and she resolved he wouldn't do it again. And, she really did make a good effort. She has fire and a stiff spine, and I think she kicks ass because of that.

The pacing of the story was perfect. The drama and angst well placed and timed. The "bad guys" were so infuriating! Without saying too much, the big baddie made me insane. Like, reach into my Kindle and slap around this person. Or, better yet, slap around Cillian to get him to wake up and smell the cray-cray. Any book that gets me this worked up is a good one.

There wasn't much mention of the characters from the previous Off series books. Ryan isn't mentioned at all. Linc is only mentioned by name. We do see Nix very briefly, but his brief appearance is very memorable. The epilogue in Off Course is unlike all the previous epilogues, in that, it doesn't really give us more of a glimpse into Cillian's and Renner's lives past the closing sentence. It's told from Flynn's POV. Flynn is Renner's brother, and will be the subject of the final Off series book. I'm so sad that the series is ending! But, at the same time, excited for this book since Bennett has promised us a final look at Ryan and Danny, Nix and Emily, Linc and Ever, and Cillian and Renner in addition to Flynn's story. I. Can't. Wait.

Great story but someone really has to proof these books.
I have to question some of these 5 star ARC reviews that make no mention of the lack of editing of these books. What good is it to give out ARCs if those people aren't going to give you an honest opinion about the edits so that you can make changes before the official release?

How about doing some edits and sending an update. Start with the "eating naked pizza in the kitchen" sentence because that one irks me the most.

5 Years ago, on Summer vacation in Ireland, Renner Caldwell crosses paths with Cillian O'Braidagh.
The night before she heads back to the States, Renner meets Cillian, lead singer of Over the Edge. After a steamy kiss that ends up going no where, Renner leaves for home with a constant reminder of the sexy Rocker.

description

5 Years later we see Renner is back in Ireland. Hiding out after losing her job and boyfriend to a scandal. With no clue what she wants out of life, she heads to Ireland to have a break and see where life is taking her.
What she doesn't count on is running into the Sexy lead singer from 5 yrs ago.

Renner knew that Cillian had made it big. She has often fantasied what could of been. But also knows thats Cillian is not what she is looking for.
Renner, is responsible. She arrives to work early, pays her bills 5 days before they are due, and she never, ever would get involved with a musician. That would be way to risky!

Cillian, O’Braidagh is the front man of, Over The Edge an up and coming Irish Rock band.
One Night 5 yrs ago, Cillian, met a young fiery red head that set his world of fire. Over the years he too also had often wondered about her. When he finds out she is back in town, he sets out to have his Cailín álainn.

But Renner isn't about to make it easy on him. She wants nothing to do with Cillian. She knows exactly his type.
There is nothing more fun then a love/hate relationship with some underlying sexual tension.
Renner and Cillian do it well. Though they both can feel the connection, Renner refuses to give into him. Instead their banter is what keeps things heated between them.

~"My Cailín álainn has some claws. I'm going to enjoy them when they're sunk into my back while I'm riding you."~ Cillian

~"You're are conceited, egotistical, jackass and the only place my claws will be sunk will be in your balls if you try to touch me again."~ Ren

Renner is constantly fighting it. This Man has the ability to break her. After experiencing the massive blow up back home, she can't move past her trust issues.

~"What are you really afraid of, Ren?" ~ Cillian

"I'm afraid of getting lost." ~ Renner

Cillian will do anything to get what he wants.
Slowly he wears her down, and then we get to meet bossy and controlling Alpha Cillian… WOW he was sexy hot!

~"Put your fucking legs around me, Renner, or I'll do it for you." ~ Cillian

description

For both Ren and Cillian, they felt that the sexual tension between them, was just that, sexual desire. Nothing else. But once they get a fill of each other, they can't seem to get enough.

~ "This is going to be fast," he warns. "I'm going to get you off with my hand, because I'm dying to see you come. Right here. Right now. Just for me. Then I'm going home with you tonight, and I'm going to fuck you so hard, you're going to be sore tomorrow. And every time you take a step tomorrow, every time you feel that little sting of pain, you're going to remember that it was me between your legs all night. Are we clear?" ~ Cillian

There sex was hot! but it becomes so much more. Their feelings grow and soon what was meant to be a hook up, turns into this amazing relationship.

~ "In all my life," he whispers. "I'll never forget the way you look right now. You devastate my senses." ~ Cillian

description

I liked Renner, she isn't one to beat around the bush. She says it like it is and I loved that about her. I felt her frustration with Cillian. But she was still not afraid to let him know where she stood.
Cillian is controlling and bossy and holds a dark past to himself. Ultimately, it effects his relationship with Ren. When his friend and band mate, Maeve comes between Ren and Cillian, things become strained.

I just wanted to do this every time Maeve was around…

description

Cillian, becomes blinded by her actions due to his guilt that he holds over himself. And it's the only thing between the two that is not right.
Though at times he is so blinded you just want to slap him upside of the head, you could understand his denial.

~ "I didn't tell you because I don't take orders. And that display? That was so you never forget that your body responds to me, no matter what demands come out of that fuckable mouth of yours." ~ Cillian

Their road is rocky, and Cillian does make some dumb ass decisions. But eventually they get their HEA.

But not before grovelling to the Caldwell boys. PMSL
The scene in the bar with Nix and Flynn….

~ “Man…that was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard. Practically made me cry. In fact, you might want to run to the bathroom right now and check…but I think you might have just grown a vagina.”~ Nix

The Epilogue left me craving Flynn. I can't wait for his story and I can't wait to hear where everyone is at in their life. I will be sad it will be over.. But seriously looking forward to what Sawyer comes up with next.

As always Sawyer knocked it out of the park.
This series is freaking awesome and I don't want it to end!
I'm so in love with everyone of them so far. They all offer something different that leaves me walking away with wanting more.

If you have not read this series you are missing out!
Get to it now!
Amazing!!! Sexy and oh so good….

Sawyer has something special with her way of capturing love with a unique twist. They are quick paced but not too quick and each book keeps getting better and better.

In this book we have Renner who has been burned from her past and wants to be on the straight and narrow and always chose the safe root

Cillian is the bad ass irish rocker from her past.

In five years they have grown up but not forgotten one another.

While Renner is back in dublin with her tale between her leg. She is trying to find her way with the help of her cousin

"There's nothing wrong with playing by the rules, Ren. Besides, Teagan will probably catch a disease and her lady parts will fall off."

While in Dublin she runs back into Cillian.

"I called you 'cailin alainn'. You recognize it, I'm sure. it is the same exact thing I called you five years ago, Renner."

With this run in she tries to keep Cillian away because his bad ass rocker ways is anything but safe. But Cillian's dirty talk and their pull to one another is hard to ignore.

"First, I'm not pestering you. I'm trying to make it clear that I want to fuck you into oblivion. Second, there is no other woman that I'm interested in. Clear enough for you?"

While Renner and Cillian try to act out the carnal attraction to one another they start to fall for each other which was not part of the plan.

This should be all and good until Cillian's past and need to help gets in the way of course with the help of one pyscho bitch Maeve. This past drives a wedge between Renner and Cillian. Renner does what she is good at which is putting her tale between in legs and runs back home to New Jersey while Cillian is left to find out the truth and deal with his own personal demons.

With the help of Nix and Flynn, Renner is able to get past her stubborn ways and give a second chance.

"I'm so fucking in love with you, it physically hurts that we're not together. I only want to exist with you. I think the only way I can exist is with you."

Love this book, Love this Series.

I received this book from the author for a truthful review.

Ok So I have said it before...I love this series. It is the perfect miz of angst, sexiness, alpha males who get their asses kicked by love and did I mention sexiness??? LOL

So this book is all about Renner who we met in Linc's book. he was the Airline attendant Evers thought Linc was dating?? REMEMBER????? GOOD!!! If not i am sure you remember now....Well Renner has run to Ireland to escape a bad situation that she feels shamed into by a jackass ex boyfriend. She runs to her aunt and uncles bar. She ran there for a after high school grad trip and Met *Sigh* Cillian. He is a hottie in a rock group. Renner is smitten and so is he but he is mega DB and hurts her feelings. Well Fast forward to 5 years later. She is serving him drinks and is stunned he remembers her...mainly cuz she turned down sex with him and NOONE does that EVER!!! He decides to pursue her because NOONE EVER SAYS NO TO SEX WITH HIM!!! He is flirty and arrogant and just Swoon worthy :) Well Renners past comes back to haunt her. The ex basically forces Renner to decided give him a chance or take a a risk with Cillina....now girls lemme remind you...hot, tattoed, pierced rocker over a dude in a suit....insert jeopardy music...yup she picks Cillian.

The course of the book they deal with her insecurities and his dealing with the fact he never lets anyone in but lets her. He has to deal with his band mate/former lover causing issues for his feelings for Renner. The end of the book I was sad and yelling and cussing and pretty much wishing Cillian was real. I would have totally nut shotted him for being an IDIOT!!! But in a true alpha male gets his head screwed back on and figures shit out he runs to make it right BUT she is gone.....hrmmmmmmmm

I was excited for the epilogue and the twist it gave us but was sad to hear that book 5 is the final in the series....sniff sniff....i love this series and am sad to hear it will be over.

ANYWAY, if you have enjoyed this series that you will enjoy this book as well.

3.5 stars. For the most part it was an Enjoyable book and nice addition to this series. Renner was an engaging heroine. She was sweet and innocent when she met Cillian five years earlier. When their paths crossed five years later, Cillian was a successful rock star and Renner was trying to put her life back together. In all honesty it took me a bit to warm up to Cillian. He took the cocky, bossy alpha male a bit too far. What I enjoyed about their relationship is the fact that Renner didn't cave immediately to Cillian's blatant attempts to get her in the sack. They took the time to get to know each other. Unfortunately towards the end I spent my time rolling my eyes at how clueless Cillian was with Maive's antics. The crazy ex-girlfriend storyline was too predictable and unnecessary.

Having said that, the ending was very sweet and I look forward to the conclusion of this series with Flynn's book.

I absolutely loved this!! I definitely had trouble when Charlotte North tried to do an Irish accent for Cillian but failed kind of miserably.

Granted I don’t know full well what it truly sounds like but Charlotte North’s Irish accent just sounded like a strong British accent. However Matthew Holland that narrated Cillian’s point of view was great.

I’ve definitely loved hearing about the rockstar aspect and the fact that they are total opposites in career and just how Cillian wasn’t even Renner’s type was perfect.

I read this through Audible’s Premium Plus category

The heroine should have not taken Cillian back. She will always be second to everyone else to him especially someone who will have a sob story. He chose Maeve without batting an eye, so yes I feel that way. Cillian even had his ex-lover and band mate living in his home wearing nothing but a tee and underwear. Killian did not cheat with Maeve, but it was emotional cheating when he would run to Maeve every time she shed a tear. No concern for the heroine until days later.

Also, Cillian agrees to go on a double date with his ex-lover and then lets a creepy guy drive the heroine home so he can take care of his ex-lover. Cillian brought the ex-lover back to his apartment to take care of her.

Wishy washy hero
Hero is not alpha
I love OW drama, LOVE IT but I have to KNOW that the hero loves the heroine and will choose her always. Cillian only chose the heroine when he was sure his ex-lover was taken care of.

I don't really know if my reviews should count for anything. I say this because I have loved every book in the OFF series. I think I am partial to Sawyer Bennett. She has an incredible talent. You feel every emotion right along with the characters.

Ren and Cillian are a great addition to the OFF series. The relationship was so intense. And seriously who doesn't love a rockstar tainting the "good" girl and the fact that he was Irish made it all that much better with that sexy accent. I did crack myself up reading some of the words because I am sure I was not saying it in my head the way it was really supposed to be pronounced. Regardless of my pronunciations, I still felt every emotion these two experienced.

If you haven't read the Off series, you don't necessarily need to read the others to read this one. It's an added bonus if you read them, but its not necessary.

Meh. I gave 3 stars for drama in the end .
That I enjoyed.
The first part of the book I found rather boring with the inner monologues ( on both MC ‘s parts ) full of lusting and after with the sex scenes that I also found boring. Too much of those is not my cup of tea.
I didn’t like the writing style that much. Too emotional. But it’s my personal opinion.
Then the plot:
The tortured H, abused as a child has a hero complex. He’s played like a violin by the evil woman , ex girlfriend. The heroine has enough in the end and that pushes the H to see the light.
Another frustrating observation: the heroine get an overly sexy outfit only because her cousin forced her.... I really read that before. Many times. Why the authors use that excuse over and over again? If she really didn’t want to wear it she wouldn’t.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Once again, Sawyer Bennett has delivered a great story.
This book is totally adorable.
Decent plot, great pacing, wonderful characters: Cillian is sexy and he totally got my attention. And I love Renner's personality.
I really enjoy this series and feel like each book is a stand alone in it's own right and has a completely different vibe than the previous ones.

Fabulous story! Sad about Maeve not taking it seriously but how supportive Renner was. Also super crazy (different) names I hadn't heard of..Cillian. Anyway - great way to sway from hockey to rocker. It was a nice break from athlete to rocker! I'm excited for Flynn's story next!
