Readable, informative and nicely laid out. It's very interesting to learn about the lesser known aspects of the historical slave trade and Crampton does a good job drawing parallels with the modern day refugee crisis. It's also interesting reading the songs and using the oral history they represent.

This is a very accessible book the stories and songs tell us about the horrors of different kinds of slavery and kidnapping both ancient and modern
