One Heartbeat: A Philosophy of Teamwork, Life and Leadership

Rate this book
Since Mack Brown became head football coach at the University of Texas in 1997, the Longhorns have roared back each year into the national championship hunt. Who is this turnaround impresario, and what's his secret? Why does he consistently get the most from his student athletes? You'll find the answer in the Mack Brown philosophy of life, as revealed in this chronicle of his favorite stories and insights. It's not just about football but about winning in life--about the teamwork it takes to succeed, to work together as "one heartbeat." Brown pays tribute to the people who have taught him, from the famous to the obscure, and explains how he's learned from hard times to ascend the highest summits.

Great book on how to coach and lead the right way. One of the finest yet still most underrated college coaches in history and a really nice man.

He now entertains America as one of the best commentators as well. Must read for any football fan.
