I like the irony that he was such a big, sort of majestic guy, but he had a name more suitable for a sweet little cutie-pie cat. And then I loved that it shortened to Wigs, which I think really fits him. (less)

Ms. Bravo and the Boss by Christine Rimmer is a 2016 Harlequin Special Edition publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Christine Rimmer pulled out all the stops with this edition of the ‘Bravos of Justice Creek’.

Jeb Walsh is a popular author of thriller novels, but when his long-time secretary leaves, he finds himself in a serious bind. Missing deadlines, and firing one typist after another, Jeb is earning a very nasty reputation.

Netgalley and Harlequin for an honest review.

I found this to be a cute but average reading.

A heroine that is broke and needs cash and a job. A hero who's a writer and is as demanding as heck with his assistants.

Enter Elise who is desperate enough to go work for him under the duress of her sister. Jed is in a funk and needs an assistant like yesterday and decides that Elise will have to do.

The two are cute together and have some funny dialogue. They learn to open up to each other and slowly fall
Very good book. Elise has had some really bad luck lately, compounded by some bad decisions. Most recently, her catering business burned to the ground and her business partner decided to move on. There was insurance money, but half went to her partner, and Elise used hers to pay off her debts. Her finances are especially tight because she had made the decision to loan money to two "friends" who then declined to pay her back. So in order to make the money to restart her catering business she has ...more

The book "Ms Bravo and the Boss " written by Christine Rimmer was a delightful read. Elise Bravo has made a series of bad decisions which have made her pocketbook strings tight. She has been trying to make ends meet by series of odd jobs in her sisters businesses. Until one of her sister's refers her to Jed Walsh who is in desperate need of a typist. He has a book deadline and he keeps scaring all the other typists away.

What I like about Elise is that she is not intimidated by Jed. She takes

Elise Bravo goes to work for intimidating author Jed Walsh as his typist. He has a specific process that involves throwing knives while dictating and other weird alpha male behaviour. Elise needs the big pay cheque on offer after a series of bad financial decisions and the burning down of her catering business. She's a great typist, but it's not what she wants to do with her life, and insists it will only be for this one book. The two soon fall into a relationship. Jed begins to fret what will ...more

Ms. Bravo and the Boss
Christine Rimmer

Rimmer’s latest Bravo family novel is a real page-turner told via a smart and sexy dialogue with a healthy dose of humor, staring a fantastic, unforgettable couple whose chemistry is off the charts, a kitty co-star that will steal hearts and the show and the entire supporting cast of wagon circling Bravo siblings. But it’s definitely the conversations between her hero and Mr. Wiggles the cat and the very satisfying HEA ending she gives her freakishly

Elise Bravo went through her inheritance pretty fast and is in great need of money to get her catering shop back up and running after it has burned down. And Jed Walsh is a thriller writer in great need of an extremely fast typist who can keep up while he dictates to her. The author does a wonderful job of bringing this couple together even when they both fight their attraction to each other. Of course she had the help of Wigs, Elise's cat, who is a delightful addition to the story. This is a ...more

I really loved this story. It is a bit different than the past books in this series. I love how she incorporated how a writer writes from his perspective and how he develops his characters. I love his use of words. He is very eloquent and Elise is a great. She is able to see past the gruff exterior that Jed has been known for. She sees him as a man first and a writer second. This is probably my favorite book in this Bravo family series

I thoroughly enjoyed “Ms. Bravo and the Boss” by bestselling author, Christine Rimmer. As we revisit Ms. Rimmer’s Bravos of Justice Creek, we get to know the story of Elise Bravo. After a fire destroyed her catering business – and after years of not-so-wise decisions and growing pains – Elise is in desperate need of a job.
Enter Jed Walsh, a writer of thrillers with a habit of getting over-involved in the characters and scenes in his books during the writing process. So involved, in fact, that

An adorable story, with characters that brought light and spice to the basic romance storyline, and a cat that stole my heart.
I liked both Elise and Jed, they had their quirky and demanding personalities, either of them an easy person to be around. Yet they had endearing traits in their personalities, that won me over.
Jed was such a caveman at times, I was shaking my head thinking you didn't just say/do that. There were couple times that his forceful behavior actually bothered me for a minute

I just love Christine Rimmer's Bravo romances and Ms. Bravo and the Boss does not disappoint!!! I could not put this book down!!! Jeb Walsh is a gorgeous, Alpha male, and former soldier turned author. Elise Bravo is a former high school mean girl that has learned her lesson through bad investments and even worse boyfriends.
Jeb, a rugged, grumpy writer, is looking for the perfect typist to help him finish his book and Elise, an out of work caterer, is in desperate need of a good paycheck. I

Loved it!! But I have to say it wasn't what I expected. I though after reading the synopsis of the book the hero was going to be a very grumpy arrogant man. He is not!!! Elise Bravo needs a job because of some bad financial situations and Jed Walsh is a reclusive writer who needs a typist for his book. Elise takes the job and they become friends and lovers. James at first seems grumpy and hard but it doesn't take him long to at all to show his soft side. Especially with Wigs! The relationship ...more

Ms. Bravo and the Boss is the fifth book in Christine Rimmer’s The Bravos of Justice Creek series. After reading one of Ms. Rimmer’s books I always think she can’t get any better and I’m always proven wrong. This was a fabulous book that I couldn’t put down. I enjoyed watching Elise Bravo’s character stick with her plan and not let Jed sway her one way or another. She was strong and wasn’t intimidated or scared with Jed’s unusual sport.

Jed Walsh was a character to love. He had a roughness about

"Ms. Bravo and the Boss (The Bravos of Justice Creek)" by Christine Rimmer was such a good story that once I picked it up I didn't want to put it down. I enjoyed Elise Bravo and Jed Walsh's story. Loved this book! I like stories that have 'true to life' experiences and this one did it for me.

Jed is egotistical, difficult to work for, and driven. Elise is down on her luck, broke, and marking time until her ship comes in. Elise gets steered towards Jed for a job, and the rest as they say, is history.

No game playing, no huge misunderstanding that breaks them apart, just life happening. I enjoyed this whole story...although I don't have any superlatives to describe my enjoyment, other than
When I look for a new book to read, what I hope for is to be entertained. Something that draws me so deeply into the story that I can't stop thinking about it and certainly don't want to ever stop reading. With this book, I found exactly that. Ms Rimmer wrote about a couple and a story that kept pulling at my heartstrings until every part of me was right there needing to know what happened next and desperate to see how it would end. I loved Jed and his quirkiness and Elise was a hoot! Pick it ...more

I thought that this book was a fun read. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good romance.

She tells him it will be for just the one book but after seeing how well they work together.

An enjoyable read. She needs a job, he needs a secretary, but there's an instant spark. Before you know it they're tumbling into bed.

There were 2 things about this novel that I didn't see coming:
1. that he would push for the relationship
2. him with the cat

Point one, is a little self-explanatory, but point two really made me smile. Catio and all. This is mostly why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. It was an easy read and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for the same.

It's always great to revisit friends and family with Christine Rimmer's Bravo series. Elise goes to work for Jed Walsh, a nightmare of a boss but he pays good and she needs an infusion of cash for her business. As she types up his next bestselling manuscript, they start to have feeling for each other but both have other priorities. Lots of tension and misunderstanding but lots of loving and an especially cute cat named Mr. Wiggles help this book to a wonderful conclusion.

I have read all different kinds of books, this one has me kind of wondering what the next plot is going to be, What is Jed going to do next to get his Elise the love of his life, his typist, a woman who was taken advantage of. What will she do when he asks her to stay. Events go so different from what I would have thought. Elise is a women that doesn't really know what she wants, Jed is a man who was raised by a man in the woods. Will he get his woman, will she get her man.

Big fan of the Christine Rimmer's Bravo series! Ms. Bravo and the Boss does not disappoint. Elise is desperate for a money and needs a job to get her catering business back in business. Jed is in desperate need of someone to type his next best-seller. A match made in heaven. She is awesome and he is handsome! Love the fact that she could type his words and still had her own thoughts. A great romance of "should we, will we?" Knife throwing?? Amazing twist there!

I thought this book was a real joy to read. The hero Jed was a very complex man with a lot of personality quirks that I found both interesting and also amusing. Elise was a heroine in a true sense in trying to survive all the world threw at her and still keeping a cheerful face. She brought light to Jed's world and Wigs the cat stole my heart. I found myself rooting for them as a couple and also individually too. I would definitely recommend this book as a great read.

I have been reading the Bravo series for a while now and this one was so fun to get into. Jed and Elise work so well together. She is adamant about typing only one book but he is figuring out ways to keep her. Go get the book to see how this all works out. I loved it. Can not wait for the next one.

I really liked this new Bravo book by Christine Rimmer. Loved the interaction between Elise Bravo and Jed Walsh. They each had their own issues and problems but learned to accept themselves and their own strengths. This was a really fun read, totally enjoyed it. I was given this book in exchange for a review, but as I read all of Christine's books, I would be reviewing it anyway.

Another fun, sweet romance by Christine Rimmer. Great dialogue and amusing interaction between characters. Especially Elise and Jed. And of course Mr Wiggles, feline extraordinaire. A wonderful journey as we follow two people overcoming personal issues to find themselves and each other. And fall in love. I loved this story and am excitedly awaiting the next one.
