This was my first Jessica Blake book and it will definitely not be my last! I loved Sydney, the newly hired PA for cocky super hot CEO Simon. Their chemistry couldn’t be denied, even though Sydney tried her best because of her professional situation. With plenty of other endearing characters in this story, it’s sure to please.
Underdeveloped

This was my first story by Jessica Blake and whilst I loved the plot, the book had a lot going for it. Its a classic Hot boss attempting to seduce his latest assistant then falling in love. I read the book in a couple of hours but I wasn't drawn into the story as much as I could have been I didn't feel invested in Sydney and Simon.

This was a relatively good story but the pacing of the book and the secondary characters didn’t really mesh well. It’s told in the Heroine’s POV only, so we never really get to see where the Hero’s been, or what he’s thinking, or what in his past shaped him. His character was just not developed like it needed to be. This was a weird little story. Interesting, but a relatively good and easy read. I didn't really get the pacing and the motivation of the H was never really clear. Because it was told in the h's POV, we never really got to know what he was thinking, his experiences, what made him the person he was. This book was amazing. There is so much sexual tension between the two main character its ridiculous. So much happens that I do not want to ruin it for any one else. But this is what I will say.

This book annoyed the hell out of me.... It started great with the initial meeting of the characters then it got completely drawn out. Where was the guy who was spanking the woman in his office? And the heroine was so into her roommates and her ex that any interaction she had with the hero paled in comparison and most of the time they fought and then he disappeared. Nevertheless I completed the book but it wasn't the best read it just kept me occupied for a time...

Hours after meeting the H (her boss), she walks in on him with a girl bent over his desk and smacking her ass. I almost quit right there. Don't want to read about the main characters and other people- even if it gets the h hot.

A great read that immediately had me interested in the story. A bit of mystery with Sydney 's boss, Simon. Yet, I like the dynamics when they were together.
