I've been called wild. Dirty. Untamed.
I moved to the woods to get away from the bullsh*t of the city. People there don't understand a man like me.
I work hard, and my hands are as calloused as my heart.
And nothing's gonna change that.
But now I've met Harper.
And my whole f*cking world has changed.
But this girl keeps running.
I need to make her stay because she's having my

Timber: The Bad Boy’s Baby is book one in The Mountain Man’s Babies series by Frankie Love. I’ve read a bunch of the books in this series but have no idea how I ever skipped over the first book. So I decided I needed to fix that right away. Although this wasn’t my favorite of the series, I enjoyed it.

Jaxon (Jax) Lane lived in the city and shared a business with his partner. He was definitely popular with the ladies. They just wanted him and what he could do for them. So who was he to turn them

I was on holiday as I was reading this so my heart wasn't fully into it!! There was a ton of sex in this book which my hubby kept peaking over my shoulder to see what I was reading! Now he thinks I read very "dirty porn!!!" Gah!!! Why did he take interest in one of my smuttier reads?!!! He thinks I'm a perv now! Lmao! That's really all I have to say at the moment!!!!! I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either!!

This was so filthy, so much sexing going on it that cute little log cabin miles from anywhere. As I sit here with the couple from next door screeching at each other and the guy the other side playing his music obnoxiously loud outside I'd love to live in sweet seclusion, away from noisy arseholes. But such is life.

It was a bit odd that he occasionally referred to his wiener in third person and it was unusual in that there was instalust but not instalove, but it's not a story to be taken too
It seems that I've been reading a LOT of lumberjack alpha men lately. Or at least ones who look like them with the full on beards and the flannel and the manly man thing going on. I don't think it is limited to just romance books either. I've been watching baseball recently and it looks like the players are all sporting full beards. I think the Chicago Cubs have over 50% of the players looking like lumberjacks. I never really liked beards on a man, but after reading these books and watching some ...more

Insta everything and some alpha lumberjack with naive heroine but still very enjoyable to read. This author is new to me and I know that I'll return to her.

A nice sheltered religious girl runs to her uncle's cabins in the mountain and get stuck in the snow. She meets a self-identified man-whore to whom she give her virginity! He sleeps with her within an hour of meeting and then leaves her on the floor of his cabin and then goes up to sleep alone in his loft! WTF! The discussion of his "wood" is more than girl can take. Little storyline between the constant sex scenes.

This truly escapism at its finest. A reader should be prepared to suspend all co

Whenever Jax and Harper are alone together it's like a bad porn, both in dialogue and behavior. There were several times I just wanted to quit and start banging my head against the wall, it was that bad from time to time. But when they weren't alone, it was a half decent book.
Jax and Harper. Harper is getting away to her uncles cabin after her ex dumps her a week before the wedding. She is 21 and very sheltered so she is unprepared for Jax. Her car stutters to a stop in the snow storm just before his cabin and Jax isn't one to say no to seducing a pretty girl. In fact that's what got him in trouble in the first place, forcing him to live in the wilderness. What starts as a night of fun and firsts for Harper, evolves into something more when it turns out that Harper i ...more

OMG! Let me start this review by saying I picked Timber up as kind of a joke. It was free at the moment it came to my attention and by some of the reviews I just couldn’t help myself, I had to see what it was like.

I was hoping to get a raunchy Alexa Riley meets Jordan Silver kind of story, which proves to you I do read this trope when I’m in a certain mood, but this whole thing was just… confusing.

Harper, who comes from what seems a very narrow-minded, rigid religious family, is the epitome of i

The biggest turnoff for was how the characters spoke. Annoyed the crap out of me!

Though I enjoy a story where the man defends his woman from even her own snotty family, if need be. Sadly this man's character was under cut by some of the language the author chose. This guy was supposed to be a player, a womanizer, a lumberjack, alpha-male type, a manly-man... He fell short for me.

The young woman was worse. She was to childish for my tastes. I understand living a sheltered life, but this was to

too stupid to breathe heroine meets angry man-ho who likes to drop the Eff bomb for no reason.

Harper doesn't grow. doesn't have any character arc. she blithely goes from one caretaker to another. she gains no life skills except the bedroom tango.

Jax is a crude, selfish jerk whose idea of "being there" leaves a lot to be desired.

secondary characters are wooden and unrealistic.

not even sure it qualifies for 2 stars.

Jaxon the typical one nighter, and leave them rule. Well eventually gets you a bad reputation, affecting life and job, just hasn't worked out well. Then by a Chance of circumstance, an angel appears at his door on a snowy night, blessing? Depends on how you look at it, but can change everything. Great story, loved it❤️

Where was my insta love?!?
Lots of push and pull... hated that!
Ironically this is probably a more realistic story of what would happen if your one night stand came back and told you she was having triplets...
But I don't want realistic!! I wanted insta love!!
Oh well.
Over all safe read

Sadly, not even triplets could make me like this book 😬 The storyline and the characters were all over the place. I cringed during the sex scenes- the dialogue was 🤢. The hero fucks up several times, doesn’t redeem himself and the heroine was too naive and forgiving.

This could've been a higher rated read for me if the sex scenes were more realistic and the main female character wasn't so annoying. That being said though there are aspects of the relationship in the story between the main characters that I did enjoy and I found similarities between myself and the main female character. There also could've been less swearing in the story.

Dear God, please pick something else

I expected raunchy. The cover and title give that away. My mom has dirtier sex. And the dumb, yee gods the dumb, my eye muscles hurt from all the rolling they did. The wood puns never stop, and it's meant to be sexy. I can just hear someone saying, "cause he's a sexy lumberjack--get it." But no, dude is a hipster playing at being a lumberjack. Chick is playing at being an adult and Lord help them raising those babies. As in please wrath of God them and let som

This book is RIDICULOUS!!! If you need a good laugh and escape reality for a little bit, this book is for you! I was literally laughing out loud and shaking my head at the ridiculousness of this book. It was a freebie off of BookBub and that is the only reason why I got it.
It’s getting 3 stars because it did keep me entertained. The writing however is 1 star.

I couldn’t even finish this book. I felt like I was reading a porn movie. The dialogue was cheesy, the girl was a ditz and Jax referred to his “thick wood” the entire book. Like how many times can you say you want a girl to sit on your wood? Seriously. It was just corny. The ONLY reason I gave it 2 stars is the sex scenes that I did read were hot.

This is the most frustrating book on earth. There was a lot to like but both the H and h were so freaking irritating. I wish the h would have been a little less pathetic. Seriously, I get the whole sheltered and religious thing but she takes it to the extreme. On top of that, no matter what jerkish selfish thing the H says she just goes right back to screwing him and hoping eventually he’ll love her and want her to stay. Then there is is the H 😡. I’m okay with it taking a while for him to come a ...more

How on earth did I even read this!?

Trust me I was questioning myself and my choices the whole time I read this book.

It went on and on and on and on, and the characters were stupid and immature and ridiculous. The whole story was horrible. The premise would be ok in an over the top cheesy kind of romance way, but this book made it horrible.

Also, I'm not allergic to sex scenes, I'm fine with it; people have sex. But, what I could not stand was every other scene was sex. It made this book so unp

This is not a romance story. This is the story of two incompatible people that had to be together because the playboy hero had knocked up the heroine with triplets. YEAH, I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT SPOILER ANYMORE.

This is such a bad book, people. I was expecting something like The Gamble by KA but you know what, I had too much of high hope on that. This book.... *sigh* has one of the worst couples ever and I've read about thousands of them. They are bad for each other. The romance fel

I don't know how to describe this story. It is contradictory. At the beginning the circumstances are entirely unbelievable and then later it is brutal in its realism - not everyone reacts well to a surprise pregnancy. Yet, I didn't like Jax before that. He and Harper seemed to have multiple personalities through the story. He was sex-crazed, insensitive and generally uncaring, then suddenly the ideal partner. Harper was strong then weak, brassy then highly reserved and she flip-flopped to each o ...more

This is the fucking worst book ever. The H is a fucking pig asshole and the h is made out to be some sad women who won't try and help herself. The H acts like he doesn't even like the h. Saying things like oh I got all I want from her, or I'll never marry here shes pregnant w my triplets I'm just letting her stay at my place until she has them.. wtf? Like its ridiculous of an idea that shes looking for a relationship from the guy that shes having a baby with.. no. No. No. The sex in this book is ...more
