I could not stop reading! The second volume in this trilogy is action-packed from start to finish. I was actually surprised when I was done because I didn't think I could've read a whole book that fast.

Along with the main cast from the first book, there are a few more outstanding characters introduced in this book. I like how some seem to play only a small role at first, but then you come to find their part of the story is much larger and more important (and more gruesome) than expected. Just a

Excellent follow up to the first book. A new array of characters make their way into the story and are woven in seamlessly.
Looking forward to a little closure on some of the mysteries that are still floating at the end of the tale. I can only imagine that this is how people felt when Empire Strikes Back initially came out and the credits rolled before they were ready for it to end. Glad I don't have to wait to start book three! (Although knowing he has no problem killing characters, I'm nervous

Epic high fantasy continues, setting lofty expectations for a finale royale. In this second installment of Williams' epic yard he makes good on the adventure, camaraderie and intrigue promised at the end of the series opener "Rebels & Fools." We make some new friends before catching our old ones up, though their introduction to one another hardly evokes a hearty "hail fellow, well met" from either camp.
