I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
'Heated Match' by Lynne Silver is the first book in the "Coded for Love" series. This is the story of Loren Stanton and Adam Blacker.

Adam was and is part of a government program of genetically enhanced soldiers. The program had been a secret but now their cover has been blown. Adam is now the leader of a covert ops group that was set to protect a baby from being kidnapped at a party. There Adam met Loren who p

Did Not Finish.

After heroine is tricked into drinking water that is laced with a drug that makes her so horny she MUST have sex, then locked in a room with the hero - obviously then has sex with him for 24 hrs - she isn't even pissed off this happened to her!!!

Plus she was on birth control, so why did the super 'smart' person that tricked her into drinking this water not check on this fact? (he wanted to use her to breed super soldiers)

Can't finish.

Adam Blacker is the leader of a team of genetically enhanced soldiers. While the program has been around since the sixties, their top secret cover has been blown and the agency has been thrust in the spotlight. Adam is carrying around secrets and unfinished business. While he's dedicated to The Program and his teammates, he especially resists siring the next generation of super soldiers.

Thanks to an inside source the American people and others around the world have found out about The Program, a compound for genetically enhanced soldiers. The program is specifically for those who scientists have determined to be the perfect match for another and then their offspring, who use more of their brain than the normal human population. It has been a secret for decades. Not anymore.

Adam and Loren meet at a birthday party for an ambassador's son. She is covering it for The Pos
HEATED MATCH was nothing like what I thought I'd be reading when I decided to get this book, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed! From the picture and summary, I thought I was choosing an erotica romance with a Sci-Fi subplot. Instead I found a romantic suspense novel with a really intriguing Sci-Fi story that had me cursing the bad guy and cheering for Adam and Loren to save each other in every sense of the word.

Adam is a highly trained team leader of a covert ops group, but one look

The genetic matching thing isn't really explained. I know it might not bother some people but I like rules. Because it's going to take up heaps of space and potentially spoil the book I've put my questions/concerns as spoilers:

I agreed to read this book based on the blurb - genetic modification and covert ops? Awesome. I was looking forward to, based on the description, romantic-suspense. That is not what I got.

Based on the number of plot holes and underdeveloped areas, it seems like this book may have started out as a shorter story that was eventually added to. (Having gone back and looked at some of the reviews, this may be the case).

To note - I waited a day to write this review, hoping that after

I've put off reviewing this story because I just didn't know how to explain what the book was about - it's so unusual.

Adam and Loren met at a party he was forced to attend and as a journalist she was sent to cover. They didn't know that life would never be the same for either of them now that they've met. Loren was Adam's genetic match so they were strongly attracted to each other and couldn't think of anything else. This scared Laren so she left early. When the guest of honor (a one year old ch

This is a first time read for me for this author. I saw the cover up on NetGalley and since I was looking for a military romance I couldn't resist. Although, what I got was a little different to what I was expecting.

Heated Match introduces us to The Program, which is a base of elite soldiers who have been genetically modified from birth. This wasn't what I was expecting. I assumed it would just be another SEAL-like team. It did worry me a little as I didn't know how far the auth

This was my first time reading Lynne Silver, and it definitely will not be my last. Heated Match is nothing like I have read before. It is a romantic suspense novel, with an undertone of sci-fi. Sci-fi is not generally a genre that I enjoy reading but I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Adam is a genetically enhanced soldier, a leader of a covert military group. Adam is instantly drawn to Loren and he looses focus when she is near. Loren is a journalist, hoping to advance her career, when she approa

Compelling, action-packed and physical attraction that burns up the pages! The first book in Lynne Silver’s Coded For Love series will have you glued to your seat and breathing in every last word.

When scientists in the 1960’s attempt to manipulate human DNA to cure genetic diseases, they never expected to stumble upon the means to produce enhanced human beings. Faster, stronger and with accelerated healing abilities, the government soon realised that they may have the answer to the super soldier

Such a fun read with unexpected twists and turns and an explosive romance!

This book reminded me of why I love Lynne Silver. At first, I was a bit thrown off by the term "genetically enhanced" and I thought the soldiers weren't human. Eventually, I understood the concept and everything was like an adventure since then.

Although the main characters were Adam and Loren, I was instantly hooked by Xander. Something about him was so intriguing, but I would have to wait and read his book later.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I look forward to reading more by her. I'm a medical lab technologist so when I saw that this was about genetics, I was really intrigued. It's was different. All other genetically enhanced reads I've read were more on the lines of paranormal romance but this was made to seem more real. I loved it and can't say enough about it. Plus, who can resist a soldier?!

Super soldier meets journalist.

An organization called ' The Program', a group of genetically enhanced super soldiers have been top secret for 50yrs, until recently. Member and team leader, Adam Blacker, and colleague are on bodyguard duty of an ambassadors infant son at his 1st birthday. Also at the party is journalist, Loren Stanton. When the two meet there's an unusual, magnetic attraction which gets her running. Not until later does she realize that the child has been kidnapped and the hot gu

Genetically enhanced soldiers? Check. The ability to know your mate immediately? Check. A storyline that's guaranteed to keep me reading for several installments? Check.

I really liked this foray into The Program and the way its soldiers match with their mates. It was hot and sweet and kept me on my toes. I was excited to see how everything was going to pan out and how Adam and Loren were going to make it work, since they were both pretty stron

She is attracted to one of the special detail guys. She is connected to the program with enhanced soldiers and doesn't realize it until she meets Adam and her brother she didn't know about. I admit I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. I've started new series and been greatly disappointed but I figured I would get it while it was free and read it whenever. I started and finished it in the same day! I didn't want to put it down. While there were some plot holes (like how these mentally and physically superior soldiers were deceived for over 27 years!) I still was able to enjoy this book; I even might continue reading the series just to see how everything's going. Th ...more

Lynne Silver’s Coded For Love series tells the stories of men who were genetically bred by the US Government in a secret program designed to create unstoppable warriors who would only be able to mate successfully with the women who were their perfect genetic counterparts. The Program has continued in secret for decades and it’s only recently that the public has become aware of what’s been going on, thanks

Loren is desperately trying to make a name for herself in the journalism community, yet she continues to get assigned boring stories. One night like every other, she is assigned to report on a celebrity child's first birthday party. While she is there, she meets Adam and the attraction between them is like nothing she has ever experienced before.. It is to the point where the intensity scares her so bad that she leaves the event completely missing the incredible story of the young child being ki ...more

Lynne Silver is a "new to me" author, and I have to admit Coded For Love is wonderfully written! This book was given to me by the author for an honest review. I had previously read the original and enjoyed it, but I have to say the new updated version is much better. It has more depth to the characters and better detail in the action. It also helps that it is written in the current time and not a few years ago.
