Sexy Nerd Boys #2.5

Impossible Girl

Rate this book
The only thing more difficult than catching her, is keeping her.

Dex
I’ve spent the last four years in self-imposed celibacy. It was going fine until I met her. Remy Harris, the wild eyed vixen no man can pin down. She’s more than willing to have a good time, but I’m looking for so much more than that.

Remy
Love ‘em and leave ‘em. It’s safer that way. In my experience all men are looking for is a good time anyway. It’s better to give them what they want and walk away before they can do the same to you. When I needed a calculus tutor I never expected to find one who’s so...sexy. Since when are nerds so hot?

Writing this review for Impossible Girl has almost itself become impossible. I am really straddling the fence between like and hate with this one. It’s not even the fact that it was a novella, because let’s face it, for me length doesn’t matter, book wise of course ;) get your dirty minds out of the gutter people. Impossible Girl was just lacking something overall and had someone who just made it impossible to enjoy.

It was Remy that unfortunately ruined it for me. I have no problem with manwhores or women who know what they want sexually, but Remy she was the definition of a whore plain and simple. I know that sounds harsh and I apologize because I am not trying to be but after a while it got old the way she was, the way she threw herself at Dex but would get mad when he wanted more than just sex, the way she said men don’t stick around but then showed her own immaturity when something happens.

Now Dex. Dex I loved, he was sweet, sexy, funny and an amazing person overall. He deserves to have all of my book whore love because he was really that good of a guy and for once it wasn’t the male who royally screws it all up! He has gone through his own dramas in life and proved what a good man is, because of how he steps up and does what needs to be done. I really want a Dex of my own.

I think I went in with too high expectations when it came to Impossible Girl and because of that I was really overall disappointed. I have heard good things about this series and while I haven’t read the previous books I don’t want to say I would have changed my mind about Remy or the book even if I had.

Dex is sex-y!

This story is about Dex and Remy. He has been celibate for four years since he found out he got someone pregnant during his many hookups in high school. Remy, on the other hand, is on college and is hooking up with as many college boys as she can. These two are falling in love, but have to work through their issues. Good story!

Another fabulous story in the Sexy Nerd Boys series by K.M. Neuhold! This little piece of heaven focuses on Dex and Remy who we’ve gotten to see glimpses of throughout the past two books. First, my confessions: I admit that I fell a little in love with Dex after learning that he’s been taking care of his 4 year old daughter on his own with the help of only his mother. My first take on Remy was not the best – she totally is portrayed as the girl who chases men around and she doesn’t hide her reputation. But as the stories evolved in the first two books, I started to develop a softer side for Remy. I began to discover that her story ran very deep and there had to be a reason why she never let anyone in far enough to get hurt. So I totally squealed in delight when this novella popped up on my Kindle!

Remy is a business major but the one thing standing in her way is Calculus. She hates the idea of a tutor until she slams into the hot dirty blonde with the southern drawl. Remy tries to turn her seductive tactics on Dex, but he doesn’t take the bait which makes her blanch because it always works. She grew up in a house where men never stayed around long enough to show her what love actually meant. And she’s only ever seen how heartbroken her mom was after all the men in her life left. So she’s always focused on the physical gratification from a man in order to not get hurt. But Dex offers something she’s never shared with a man – friendship and respect.

Dex was once the rebellious boy who had women fawning all over him, but life through him a curveball when he held his daughter in his hands. At that moment, he vowed to change his ways and focus on getting his degree in theoretical physics. Until the moment the dark haired beauty ran into him on his way for coffee. He can’t seem to temper down his attraction to Remy and he’s not sure his vow of celibacy can stand up against the vivacious woman. But underneath, he sees a woman whose never been treated with an ounce of respect but only as a sex object. And it’s like a moth to the flame – he wants to show her what a true gentleman should be like, even though he wasn’t like that in the past.

I love how their relationship evolves. Slow and steady often wins the race! Dex wants her to see the value in spending time together and getting to know each other. Quality is often better than quantity and he believes Remy deserves the best. But there are speed bumps along the way. Remy has never saw the good side of a relationship and taking a chance on a man is the furthest thing from her mind. But she can’t get Dex off her mind and when she tries to go back to her old ways, her thoughts often drift to him. Slowly, they begin to develop a deeper connection and it turns into something more than they could have imagined. But are they willing to take the risk and put their heart on the line?

KM Neuhold continues to deliver a sweet and sexy love story! The editing in this book has improved drastically from the first book and she continues to deliver a concise and quirky story that keeps you engaged throughout the whole book. I love the fact that she goes back and shows us the beginning of how Dex and Remy met and how their relationship evolved in the background during the same time frame as the first two books. I also love the interactions between Remy and Dex’s daughter Maya! Remy is a natural with kids and I love how creative she is and shares her passion of art with Maya. Dex is absolutely book boyfriend material! He’s sweet, thoughtful, caring and totally dirty when it comes to the bedroom.

So what’s the one thing that left me with a little frown? I thought it was a little too predictable. I guessed what was going to happen to the couple after they got caught up in the heat of the moment and I nailed it. I was hoping for a little plot twist or something not so predictable. But nevertheless, it was a beautiful and amazing story that warms my heart and makes me smile!

KM Neuhold has gained a reader for life! I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.

After reading Naughty Angel, book 2 in the Sexy Nerd Boys series, I was super excited to get my hands on Impossible Girl!! You could see some things going down between Remy and Dex sprinkled throughout the story, so I was eager to get a better idea of what was really happening behind the scenes with them!

Remy was not my favorite character in the beginning, I hated how shamelessly she went after Ethan in the first book, and how rude she was with Abby. BUT I actually really liked getting to know her better in this novella. In the end, I even admired the brazenness that she had. I will say that I did much prefer when she started letting a little more of her true self shine, rather than secreting away all her hopefulness behind endless strings of meaningless sex. I also want to add that I thought it was AWESOME to have a strong female kind of taking the role of the NA “playboy”! I wish this happened more often in this genre. It would keep things a little more interesting, in my opinion. And I think it’s only fair that we come to terms with the fact that girls like sex too lol.

Dex was so sweet! I appreciated how careful and patient he was with Remy. He was a good guy. I also thought it was pretty amazing that he was juggling as much as he was. There isn’t a whole lot more heartwarming to me than a guy who is a great Dad. Especially the single Dads that take the role of Mom and Dad on. Maybe that is because I know just how hard being a single parent can be. So lets just say Dex was pretty wonderful in my eyes.

This story was a great quick read. I devoured it in a day. I really love this group of characters, and I am enjoying getting to know each one a little better with each new installment. This series is primo NA romance, and I definitely recommend it to fans of that genre.

Ever since I started reading books by K.M. Neuhold, I have become a fan of her books. She writes books that are simply loveable and cannot help but fall in love with them. I have become so engrossed in the characters and storylines in the series that is becoming one of my favourite New Adult series. I am completely captivated.

Impossible Girl focuses on Dex and Remy who meet in Worth the Wait and Naughty Angel. I was so excited to get to know them more because I had clearly fell in love with Dex and Remy. This story was a quick read but I loved the emotions that were emanating in this book. I was shocked but also loved that the author was able to give a good story in a novella. Not many can do that. She was able to give us everything. There was drama, love and some hot scenes that clearly scorched my kindle. I loved it.

The characters were so magnificent together that I truly believed their spark. I could understand that people might hate Remy because she sleeps around and does not do relationships but I felt so sorry because she could not experience love and she only wanted to be loved. I could totally relate to her because I sometimes have those feelings. Yeah I hated what she was doing but at least there was a reason you know. Dex is such a sweet guy. I loved the ways he took care of his daughter and how he treated Remy. I kind of loved Dex and of course Remy is so lucky. They clearly had genuine spark and gave the book a totally unique and different dynamic.

Impossible Girl was a hot and emotional quick novella I simply loved.

I got to see little pieces of Dex and Remy in the other Sexy Nerd Boys books. I have been dying to get to know their story and I was not let down with this book at all. I read the whole thing in one sitting.
Dex is the super sweet and sexy single dad trying to finish college. Remy is the girl that only has sex with men—she doesn’t do relationships.
I can’t wait for the next book. Great job K.M. Neuhold!

Impossible Girl is a quick, sexy read that is different than most stories. In this one, Remy (the girl) is the one with the philandering ways and Dex (the boy) is the one practicing abstinence. It was quite a nice role reversal.

Dex isn't your typical Calculus tutor. He's a sexy nerd. And he wants to push Remy out of her ways and into more of a relationship. But he wants her to want it and not just because he does.

A great novella with a good change of storyline.

km neuhold has done it again! the 2.5 installment is filled with all of the perfect elements from the Sexy Nerd Boys Series. Get your “freak” on with Dex and Remy falling in love over the oddest and almost cliche of circumstances. Can Dex learn to love again? Can Remy put her wild side away to be who she would need to be with Dex?

We shall see…..

I wanted more for this book.. Dex and Remy have been in both books 1 and 2 and it was nice to get to know them more. Sweet Sexy Dex is a stand up guy, and Remy thinks she is only good for a romp in the sack, men only view her as an object. But Dex proves to her she is more lots lots more...

MY REVIEW:
This book was great and ranked right up there with the first book. Remy was quite the vixen in the book and I got to say that not many guys would deal with what she put Dex through. She was a very strong character but a lot of her feelings on sex and the opposite sex made me wonder if she had been abused. I know she detailed a lot of her stuff to do with her upbringing but Nikki isn’t quite like that so, I wondered.

Just an FYI, I really don’t like the terms “throbbing sex” lmao, so even though this book really said that, it’s still a good read. I just chuckled and continued on. The author’s writing has also improved over the last two books and she’s really been able to take you on more of a journey with her explanations. I’ve enjoyed it and I think we’ll see great things from her! In reading the other two books, I was really looking forward to Remy’s story, just because of her outlook on life. She doesn’t disappoint. And Dex was adorable! I love me a good nerd!!

After meeting the seductive Remy in "Worth The Wait" and learning a little about the cautious, secretive Dex, I couldn't wait to dive into their story and see how these opposites would attract... or explode in "Impossible Girl". K. M. Neuhold takes us to the heart of these two troubled people and shows us the intense desire that develops between them. Dex and Remy keep things interesting with their efforts to resist one another and their sexy back and forth. Dex and Remy are hot, absolutely irresistible and have me addicted to another couple by Neuhold.

Dex Thomas is a gorgeous guy with a mathematical brain that rivals most. Because of his troubled past he has stayed away from the ladies, that is until the seductive Remy comes to him for tutoring but wants so much more. Neuhold had me seduced with this swaggering brainiac, with his sexy moves and his talent to worship a lady's heart and her body. Every time he called Remy “darlin” I fell for him just a little bit more.

Remy Harris is a skeptic and believes that love doesn't exist. She keeps her heart on lock down while giving her body to any guy freely. When she meets the hottie with the brilliant mind, all she can think about is getting him in bed. The only problem is that he seems to resist her charm and wants a relationship which is more than she is willing to give. I loved getting to know more about the mysterious Remy who uses sex appeal as her own personal shield. There is so much more to this temptress than her gorgeous looks and Neuhold has us digging deep into this young woman who hides a tender heart under her hard outer shell.

Neuhold delivers another couple that leaves us perspiring with an increased heart rate. I absolutely adore her amazing characters that have such unique personalities and incredible depth. The Sexy Nerd Boys series brings a whole new sexy to intelligence and leaves you craving more than just brawny muscles. I highly recommend Impossible Girl for the steam factor and heart felt story line. I am ecstatic to read Ravi and Hadley's story in "Hard To Resist" which I am sure will have my heart yearning for more sexy nerds.

By far Dex and Remy are my favorite so far! Don't get me wrong I love Ethan and Abby and Asher and Eve but there is just something about Dex and Remy that has taken the lead in my infatuation with the Sexy Nerd Boys.

You get glimpses of the two throughout Naughty Angel and you want to know what their deal is. Well we find out in Impossible Girl. Dex, is the playboy turned reformed good guy. Remy, is the resident playgirl. There is a definite attraction between Remy and Dex and the sexual tension is off the charts. One wants sex. The other wants more then just sex. What will the outcome be???

KM Neuhold continues to blow my mind with this series. I have loved each and every book and Impossible Girl holds my heart right now. You can't help but feel a connection with each of the characters. The book also has humor, romance and steamy sex...and you can't go wrong with any of those. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.

IMPOSSIBLE GIRL was a quick read but gives us the full story of Remy and Dex who were secondary characters in NAUGHTY GIRL. These two stories overlap in events as we saw Remy and Dex fall for each other on the sidelines but IMPOSSIBLE GIRL gives us more depth to their story. Remy comes across pretty cold and mean-girlish when we first meet her in book 1 of the series but now we see that a lot of that comes from Remy's defenses trying to protect herself. She had a bad childhood with no father and a mother who sought love everywhere and now Remy believes that she's only good enough for guys to sleep with but not to date. Of course a lot of her problems are a self fulfilling prophecy and Remy's reputation makes it hard for her to attract guys that might actually care about her. I liked watching Remy soften but still maintain who she is at her core. She's never really seen her own worth so when Dex won't sleep with her and instead insists on dating her she begins to realize that she deserves more than what she's gotten in life so far.

Dex is pretty much the perfect hero who worships the ground Remy walks on and never gives up. And boy does Remy make it hard, but Dex sees the woman underneath the sexpot personality. Not only does he respect Remy but he's also the sweetest Dad. After a teen pregnancy Dex got full custody of his daughter and his mother helps watch her during the week while he attends college. There are a few events toward the end that I kind of wish hadn't happened but overall this was a good read.

I enjoyed Dex & Remy’s story but it wasn’t my favorite of the series. (That title totally belongs to Asher & Eve!) There were some seriously hot moments & sweet gestures in it but it was a bit too predictable for me.

The highlight of this book was definitely Dex! He truly was the sweetest, sexiest & most forgiving guy ever!! He also was a great dad & a super-supportive boyfriend. Man, he was just so incredibly easy to swoon over! Honestly, I’m not 100% sure why he fell head over heels for Remy but no matter the reason, he treated her like a queen, even when she repeatedly turned him down in the beginning & when she pushed him away towards the end of the book. Remy was one blessed girl to be able to snag him!

Remy (one of the luckiest ladies in the land in this book) was not my absolute favorite heroine I’ve read about lately. I got tired (fast) of her constantly putting herself down, her whiny attitude & the way she pushed Dex away… for like three flippin’ weeks. I realize her behavior was the result of some things that had happened to her in the past but I wish she would’ve had a little more faith in Dex. I did however, love the artsy side of Remy & how quickly she bonded with Dex’s daughter, Maya. Her, Dex & Maya made for a very cute family!

The ending was a skosh sudden (I’m totally an epilogue wh*** & would’ve LOVED one) but I imagine we’ll get more details on Dex & Remy in the next book in the series! Looking forward to checking out Hard to Resist, Hadley & Ravi’s story, this summer!!

Review of Impossible Girl (Sexy Nerd Boys 2.5) by K M Neuhold
****5 Stars****
This review is written on behalf of BOOKSMACKED by Booksmacked Kat Dee.

Without a doubt, K M Neuhold has secured her place in my all time top 10 authors, with Impossible Girl. The story of Dex and Remy.

Dex is a Calculus tutor, hell bent on maintaining his celibacy. He has good reasons for his celibacy, being thrust into the role of single dad to his beautiful 4 year old daughter, Maya, after her mother chose not to hang around. Dex's mother fulfils the maternal parenting role while Dex finishes his degree.

Dex encounters Remy at the tutoring centre and sparks fly between them. Dex struggles with his resolve to remain celebrate in the wake of Remy's sexy taunting.

Remy is studying business but her heart is firmly given to her artistic passions. She's come from a home where men don't stick around and she's decided that if she treats men with a hit it and quit it attitude, she'll never have her heart broken. That is until she meets and falls hard for her sexy cowboy.

This story has a great feel and is interlaced with the characters from the previous two books. They are a loveable and very believable bunch and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the entire series of Sexy Nerd Boy stories to anyone looking to enjoy a fun, frisky, sexy and passionate read with a HEA in each book

Thank you K M Neuhold. Love your work! Please keep writing these great stories.

Impossible Girl has lovable characters and enriches the Sexy Nerd Boys world. If you haven't read Naughty Girl yet, I suggest you read it before starting this one!

Neuhold is doing such a great job with this series, I believe this novella is the less dramatic book so far. It has the perfect structure and pacing for a novella. I love how the author created Impossible Girl and the previous novel in time frame so we're able to revisit some events from different points of view. Another favorite author of mine who uses this resource very well is Kresley Cole.

I thought the plot twist was a little predictable, but regardless of that, it's concise and kept me engaged throughout the story. An easy read, captivating and satisfying. Can't wait for the next installment to come out!

As soon as I saw this book I knew it was going to be a five star review. How did I know that you ask? It's simple, it was written by the incredibly talented KM Neuhold. I'm happy to say I wasn't wrong in my prediction.

I was glad when I heard Remy was getting a story, when we see her for the first time in Worth the Wait she comes across as a desperate, nasty woman and a threat to the main characters relationship. What we see in Impossible Girl is actually a scared and vulnerable woman yearning for attention yet terrified of rejection.

In comes Dex, sexy, smart, great sense of humour. He's the perfect man and to top it all off, he sees the real Remy. He sees her inner beauty, not just the sex object that she allows other men to see in her.

I think what I loved most about this story was the role reversals between Dex and Remy. We usually see the male seducing the woman, the male taking control and dominating sexual encounters. Impossible Girl offers the lead female as the one to take control and definitely shows a sense of empowerment to women.

Impossible Girl is a fantastic novella that needs to be read!!!

Impossible Girl is book 2.5 in the Sexy Nerds series. Although it's a novella, Ms Neuhold packs a lot into this story.
Remy's life has been filled with men who leave, her father, several step fathers, and countless boyfriends. So instead of investing her heart, and risk getting hurt, she has some fun, and moves on before they do. That is until she meets sexy nerd Dex. Theoretical physicists aren't supposed to be so hot, and he is now her calculus tutor.
Dex lived life having a lot of fun, with a lot of girls. That is until one left him to raise their daughter while she went off to college, changing his life forever.
Dex is determined to show Remy that real men don't leave, they stick around, no matter how hard things get.

This novella was packed with longing, healing, hope, a bit of angst, and a whole lot of determination! It is a quick fun and sexy read.
I've been following these Sexy Nerds from the beginning, and have enjoyed every installment. I can't wait for book 3 to get to know more of these amazing friends!

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Oh that Dex had one of the most SEXIEST drawls I have come across in a book in a LONG time! Even though I couldn't actually hear him, as I was reading I could picture what he looked like as well as what he sounded like and DAMN...he was totally gorgeous! Remy she is a different type of woman. She has no issues showing the world that a girl can have and enjoy sex...that it doesn't mean it makes one a slut. I loved her strong personality and she held a hidden...sweetness that definitely made her endearing.

Dex and Remy made a wonderful couple and I enjoyed their story. I loved how everything came together for them and enjoyed every second of their romance and the tug of war of the heart that went on. This book was charming and sweet, and about the kind of love that really does last. Loved it!

Impossible Girl gets a SURPRISINGLY SWEET FOUR AND A HALF SHOOTING STARS!! I really enjoy these Sexy Nerdy Boys books and I can't wait to read the next one!

I liked this story.

It has a lot of potential but just slightly missed the mark.

The main characters were good though Remy was sightly over dramatic at times and then under dramatic when you'd expect her to be.

I found the ending predictable but still sweet. Though I expected Remy to freak out a little more then she did.

Some of the detail sentences were repetitive which could be easily fixed. Such as, "I felt the ripples of my orgasm as it rippled through me."

Also, the story line was a little hard to follow at times as I felt it jumped around really fast. some of the chapters flow from one point of view to the other with no indication that it's happening.

Overall, I felt the story line was good but could just use some tweaking.

I will probably be going back and reading the other two books that can't before this as I do feel this author has strong potential to write something great!

I have been reading this series from the beginning and in these stores there is always mention of Dex and Remy in supporting roles throughout the series.

But, this is their story and my goodness the Author had me at Hello. Dex is a dream come true that many woman would love to have in real life and Remy is extremely lovable and sweet under all that armor. Dex is looking for forever and Remy is so not looking for that. But Dex is a charmer and sweet guy that just may catch her and keep her. You will have to read the story to find out.

I highly recommend this entire series and this one is a quick short read but so worth the read this author can through in love, hate romance and charm into this compact book like no one's business.
I look forward to the next installment in this series!!!

What can I say? Another fantastic read. Again an easy read nothing too surprising but yet captivating.

You have the girl who has seen nothing but men leaving and therefore decides that the only way to keep from breaking her heart is to be the one who leaves.
Which in her case equals to jumping from bed to bed.

Then you'll have the boy who used to jump from one bed to another but left it all when he got a girl pregnant.
He tries everything he know how to do in order to convince her he would never leave.

The one thing I miss in this book is the mention of Eve's kidnapping. How much of this story was during that period? I kinda missed that. And that's the only reason why it's only 4 stars
