Gambling with magic, betting on love. Welcome to Charmed in Vegas!

A witch on a hit list and a cursed elf in sin city, their hearts and lives on the line.

Witch-in-training Marion fled to Vegas to escape being murdered. She's counting on the wards of Vegas to protect her until she can learn the magic to do it herself. Except her love potions keep exploding, and if she can't fix them, she'll never control the defense magic that will keep her safe.

The last thing she wants to do is fall in love, but that might be the only fix for her bad potions.

Elf Aidan thought Vegas would be the place to break his curse and win his way back into the Fairy Queen's honor guard, but it's not turning out to be so easy. When he meets Marion, he realizes she might be just what he needs to get rid of his curse. But her would-be murderer has found her, and Aidan will have to protect her or lose his only chance at escaping the curse.

Aidan knows exactly what to do to keep Marion alive, but what he isn't prepared for is falling in love.

And how that will royally piss off his Queen.

Warning: This story includes foul-mouthed pixies in Elvis jumpsuits, sexy sirens, big-hearted giants, shapeshifting as a weight loss method, steamy sex scenes and all bets on love win big.

Bad PotionsBad Potions: Charmed in Vegas Michelle Fox

Reviewed by SFF Dragon

Wow! A real treat for PNR fans, with action, steam, mishaps galore, and the worst case of foot in mouth I've come across in years...

Michelle Fox is one of my favourite authors, I love her books, she never disappoints and her new Charmed in Vegas series promises another winner from her pen. Well written in the third person 'Bad Potions', the first in the new series is a real treat for paranormal romance fans, with action, steam, mishaps galore, a different fae species around almost every corner and an evil mage to fight...well okay, hide from, and the worst case of foot in mouth I've come across in years, Marion and Aidan's story is laugh out loud funny as well as being a bit of a crime thriller, and had me hooked from beginning to end.

Poor Aidan Fyrebard, haplass Elf and one of the Fairy Queen's Guard, really does have a bit of a problem. He's always saying the wrong thing, hasn't quite grasped what a compliment really sounds like and is so adept at making them sound insulting he should be paying a trip to the dentist to have one his teeth replaced.... by a foot....or two. The Queen understands he means well, but the latest so called compliment is the last straw, and he really did get off lightly. She only cursed him instead of killing him, but now he's stuck in the human realm until he completes the task set by the curse and like a fool, he chose to go to Las Vegas.....where all the beautiful people hang out, and is now stuck at the bar in the Queen's casino, The Avalon, kicking himself and being bugged by his friend McAllister. He doesn't stand a chance of finding the person he needs here, but then he spots a woman on the dance floor and bingo! ... or not....

Marion, a student witch, desperately needs to pass her potions class or she won't be able to progress to what she really needs so she can defend herself when the ex gets out of prison and comes to kill her. Her love potions are more useful as grenades and her room-mate and BFF, Raven, is sick of their apartment reeking of smoke. It's putting off her shifter lovers and the redecorating to cover the scorch marks on the walls and ceiling is getting tedious. Persuading, well actually, more like nagging, Marion to go for a night out and using her favourite DJ, Pixie Cool, as a lure, Raven drags Marion to The Avalon where her frenzied dancing attracts unwanted attention......

This terrific stand alone paranormal romance with crime thriller elements had me so engrossed I really didn't want to put it down. Filled with wonderful, weird and wacky characters that made me smile, a bad guy to fight and I loved the justice meted out to him, but I'm not going to give spoilers, you'll just have to read it for yourselves. I loved Marion, Aiden, Raven, Dougal and McAllister, although McAllister's taste in clothes leaves a lot to be desired and as a life-long Elvis fan, the picture painted made me laugh ... and cringe. I even developed a soft spot for Professor Snooks and hope to meet all these lovable and off the wall personalities again in future books. I was given a copy of this fantastic book by the author in exchange for an honest review and I absolutely loved it, from beginning to end it made me laugh, has lots of steam, some action, and a happily ever after for Marion and Aiden although the end was a bit abrupt, and it has everything except what Vegas is famous for...gambling. I really can't wait to read the next one and wish I could give more than 5 stars to this great story. It brightened my day no end and I'm still chuckling at the vision of a never ending procession of pans with holes in the bottom and an Eros Fae with a chain.

What a fun book!

I'm not generally interested in Vegas, but I love a good paranormal love story, and the description caught my attention. There's a lot to like about this book: a quirky leading lady with a humorous deficiency when it comes to potions, and serious personal problems she's desperate to solve; a reluctant leading man who never wanted to be in Vegas to begin with, having been banished by his Queen.

Lots of interesting backstory going on here - and I always love that - which I'm eager to learn more about. I like the interplay between the characters, their strengths and weaknesses, and the personalities of their friends. It all comes together to make a fun, light read with deeper threads woven through, giving it enough depth to make you believe the threats are serious, even while you're laughing at the failed potions and comedic side-kicks. Definitely going to look for more Charmed in Vegas books.

Marion is training to be a Witch and is also recovering from a Mage who attacked her. Her love potions are blowing up and she needs to find a way to fix that before she fails her class.

Aidan is an Elf and member of the honour guard who has upset the Fairy Queen and find himself in Vegas under a curse. Can he protect Marion from Eric the Mage and protect himself from loving her?

I loved this book. It seemed to have everything - spicy, romance, danger, magic and magic beings. A great start to the series.

This book had it all, big hearted giants, sexy sirens, a foul mouthed pixie in a Elvis jumpsuit, a shape shifting giant, the best of all the steamy sex scenes, that would love all the way around.
Elf Aidan wasn't to wise with his words, that's what got him cursed and sent to Vegas. The Queen really liked him, so she was giving him another chance. He just had to find a lady not so fair and help her.
Marion, was running from a mage that attacked her and said he would get her back for putting him in jail. So she was going to school to become a witch. The only thing she kept blowing up the love potions. She was failing and she couldn't take the defence course if she couldn't pass love potions.
Raven was her roommate and her friend, that's how she met Aidan at the club. He knew when he 1st saw her that there was something about her. She was the one he needed to get rid of this curse. She didn't want anything to do with him at first but her roommate kinda stepped in and before she knew it she had a date with him.
when he seen her dressed like she was, he knew he wanted her. She was beautiful. things was going great. then she got a phone call. She told him about Eric her ex. He told her that he would protect her and take care of Eric so he wouldn't be bother her anymore.
He called hi friends, and Raven said that she would stay with this wolf shifter that she met. Aidan was taking Marion away to his cabin so no one could find them.
Along the way she started having doubts, she was wondering if Aidan was really Eric and trying to take her somewhere and kill her. She was driving herself mad. When they got to the cabin she figured out that a mage like Eric couldn't hold a form for very long so if she felt his cheek and their wasn't any mole then Aidan really was who he said he was and she could go with her feeling. When she found out that he didn't have a mole. She let herself go. Aidan made her feel like no one ever had. she was so in love with him. Then he messed up and told her about the curse. Aidan told her that she held his heart but when the Queen called him back, he had to go. Then they got a call that Eric had Raven and was going to kill her. Their time together was over.
They had a plan but it backfired and Eric got Marion. Aidan and his friends was doing everything they could to find the girls. Eric was going to pay.
The girls had knocked Eric out and called Aidan told him where they was. They sent Eric far away where he couldn't hurt Marion ever again.
Then the Queen told Aidan it was time to come home, he loved Marion so much but he had a duty to the Queen. He had to go back. He didn't have the heart to tell her goodbye.
will Aidan get to go back to the one that holds his heart? or will the Queen make him stay with her because he's her favorite? you have to read the book to see. I got this book as an ARC for an honest review.

Aidan is an honor guard for his Queen. This strong, sexy Elf is fully capable of protecting the Queen from any danger. Unfortunately, Aidan cannot defend himself from his own words. Comparing the Queen’s butt to “two glowing full moons” might not have been the wisest choice of words. I don’t know of many women who would find it a compliment to have their backside compared to one full moon let alone two. Yeah. Needless to say, his Queen was not amused. Aidan has been cursed and banished to the human realm until he breaks the curse. Why he picked Las Vegas to “find a woman less than perfect and allow her to see his true self” is just part of Aidan’s charm of picking the wrong thing, or maybe, it truly is fate giving him a slight helping hand.

Marion is in hiding, desperate to learn as much defensive magic as she possibly can before Eric, the ex who tried to kill her is released. Problem is her love potions suck and explode. And these potions come before any of the useful magic taught in her classes. This witch-in-training is finding herself in big trouble. It’s not bad enough that a powerful mage has her on a hit list, a personal hit list – but she can’t even defend herself against a man she is terrified of. One who will be back to finish what he started.

As Aidan sips his mead looking over the dance floor at the Queen’s establishment, the Avalon, in Las Vegas he begins to doubt his choice of locations. Everyone here was either way too old or much too perfectly beautiful to fit his requirements for the curse breakage. Until he spots a pretty young woman on the dance floor, dressed in baggy clothes intended to hide herself, yet she’s dancing with such abandonment that she’s giving off a silent cry for help that he cannot ignore. Besides, the Queen never said the woman had to be ugly in order to break the curse, just not perfect.

And so begins Marion’s and Aidan’s madcap adventure to break a curse, foil a villain, and just maybe fall in love along the way.

Bad Potions is filled with laugh out loud moments, a few groan worthy decisions, a wonderful secondary cast of characters (and I do mean that other meaning of “character” as well) toss in a pixie Elvis impersonator, lots of magic and you’re gonna have one fantastical ride. Since I’ve already bought and downloaded the rest of the stories available (so far, and please may there be many more) in this series, I’m itching to get to the next story.

If you occasionally enjoy your Paranormal Romance to be on the lighthearted, too funny for words side – then you are gonna love Bad Potions and the Charmed in Vegas series.

BAD POTIONS {CHARMED IN VEGAS}-SUSPENSE-ACTION-SIZZLING ROMANCE

This story features; AIDAN, a muscular, strikingly handsome elf; Marion, a blonde, brown-eyed beautiful witch-in-training.

What you’ll find in this story; a cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters, spectacular story-line, picturesque and dynamic scene descriptions, action, phenomenal banter, a bit of drama, pent-up rage, horrific danger, abduction, life threatening incident, camaraderie, spiraling emotions, pent-up rage, sky rocketing heart-pounding sensual romance, and a melt your heart conclusion that leave you content and wanting more.

Aidan has a bad habit; insults and inappropriate jokes flow from his mouth without thinking and most he regrets saying. The Fairy Queen has put a curse on him, suspended him from her Honor Guard, and sent him to Las Vegas to break the curse. Marion has hidden herself away since her abusive ex almost killed her; she shies away from men, has trust issues, and tries her hardest to get her magic right. Marion’s roommate Raven has dragged her to the nightclub at the Avalon Casino. When Aidan sees Marion dancing he is immediately drawn to her, and believes she is the woman who can help break his curse. Marion’s ex knows where she is and is coming after her with a vengeance.

WOW/INCREDIBLE exhilarating fast paced well written enchanting read by a truly gifted author. The author has done a fantastic job in giving readers an intriguing plot, breathtaking scene descriptions, and suspense that keep you hooked from start to finish. The characters are certainly praise-worthy. I so enjoyed Aidan’s witty persona and Marion's sass. The chemistry between Aidan and Marion is more than convincing, and their romance sizzles to a slow passionate burn. I absolutely adored this story, a most entertaining read. If you treasure fantasy romance this is a terrific book for your library. {I was gifted this book and this is my completely honest review}. In the world of fantasy romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservation I recommend this book.

Bad Potions: Charmed in Vegas
by Michelle Fox
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Michelle Fox never disappoints! This is absolutely phenomenal! I absolutely love this hilariously sexy series from Michelle , and I’m counting the days to her release! Michelle Fox writes in a way that draws me into the story.
I love to read Paranomal romance, Michelle Fox has a great imagination, she focus on the inner thoughts and the outer happenings for these types of scenes. They are short and spread out in the story, so I could still enjoy the tension they bring to the story. This is an excellent paranormal romance. The town and minor characters came to life for me, making the story that much more enjoyable. If you want to laugh, cry and feel like happily ever after is a real thing, this book is for you. Michelle Fox is so creative for developing innovative, engrossing and believable story lines. She builds world's, providing amazing details that flesh out and enhance the story as well as the three dimensional primary and secondary characters. This story is tightly written, well paced and has a number of unexpected twists and character development is outstanding. Ms. Roberts is not only gifted at creating a story that comes alive, but deep three dimensional character development. I like that the author develops strong female character who have the internal strength to overcome. The male are alpha but have an inner core that allows them to feel. Another thing I especially like in this novel and a fair number of her other books is that Michelle Fox hones the developing relationship between the main characters, she creates a simmering sexual tension and sizzling sex scenes. I give this story 5 stars and its well worth the read!

This is a great read and another awesome book by Michelle Fox. If you enjoy reading shifter romance with suspense and lots of action this is a great choice for your TBR list. I can’t wait to see what she writes next. I Highly recommend this book and the series.

If you believe in the world of paranormal romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!

This is the first in what is promising to be a great series of paranormal romance novels all penned by Michelle Fox and from book two, co-authors who all are writers in the world of paranormal romance genre. All based loosely on a theme of The Hangover but all with a paranormal slant, this series is set to be quite unique in its undertaking and I for one am eager to see where these great authors take us!

Bad Potions is Michelle's book and she kicks off the series in style with Aiden, a foot-in-mouth Queen's guard elf and Marion a witch in training. Aiden is looking for the woman to help him break the curse by the Queen that got him kicked out of Fairy and straight to Vegas! Marion is desperately trying and failing to pass her classes in love potions to move onto the next class in magical self defense so she can defend herself against her evil mage ex-boyfriend. And so begins a magical romance story that has a venerable cast of pixies, sirens and half giant shape shifters that you can't help but be swept away with the story.

At times this story has you laughing out loud while at others it has you banging your head in frustration as Aiden is a great clueless character with a heart of gold but with a mouth that seems not to be connected to his brain! Marion is a timid and hesitant character who comes alive with Aiden (some sexy love scenes here) and with the aid of her sassy friend Raven, eventually learns to kick a**. For me though, some of the best funny bits came from the cast of what seem misfits - McAlister, Dougal, and Raven and I certainly hope we see some of these again throughout the series.

A great first novel and it makes me want to carry on and read the next book, Gambling On Her Dragon a collaboration between Michelle and Anne Lowe. I look forward to seeing where this paranormal romance series goes.

This is one of the books out of the Charmed in Vegas Series. Adian Fyrebard is an tall sexy elf who has been cursed by his Queen for insulting her and he has been banished to the human world to serve his time he was given a choice of where he could go and he picked Las Vegas where he will have to work in one of the queen's casinos he isn't happy but he will have to deal with it. We also have a witch who has absolutely no magic at all and cannot prepare a potion without it blowing up to save her life, Marian is a practicing witch attending college to learn how to make potions to protect herself from being assaulted again but she is failing miserably her professor tells her she is failing because she has no love experience she tells her roommate Raven who doesn't have a problem with love or relationships and she gets Marian to go out to a club after she blows up another potion she reluctantly agrees and is on the dance floor just dancing away by herself she thinks nobody will bother her but Adian comes in and is taken with her because she is the one who can help break the curse he is under so that he can go back home that is not the only reason he wants her there is something about her that attracts him only she is not interested until Raven sets up a date between them and things change after a kiss with Adian she is scared but he made her feel something she never felt with her ex Eric the bane of her existence and the basis for the potion lessons for her protection she knows that someday he will come because during the trial he said he was going to get her she even moved across country to get away after the trial but tonight she is having such a good time when the phone rings. And guess who? This is a lighthearted romantic suspense. Recommend. I was given a copy for an honest review.

A fun read that will keep you turning the pages all the way to the end. I’m not sure what I was expecting when I started this book, but I loved what I got. Marion is a witch in training hiding out in Vegas and going to school to master potions, love potions in particular, so that she can then move on to more advanced spells to protect herself from a crazy mage who happens to be her ex. Unfortunately, she tends to blow them up and can’t move forward with her studies until she can get it right. Aidan is an elf and one of the Fairy Queen’s honor guard who cannot seem to open his mouth without insults coming out, however well-intentioned his comments may be. He is banished to Vegas with a curse and that’s where all the fun begins.

Aidan is sexy, a bit broody, charming (partly because of his tendency to say all the wrong things), and surprisingly protective of Marion from the get go. All wonderful characteristics in a leading man. And Marion, well I fell in love with her from the get go. Obviously, she hasn’t had luck in the relationship department but she is no wilting flower waiting for someone to rescue her. She takes responsibility for herself and is determined, independent, quirky and doesn’t really care what others think. I loved the two of them together, both a little cautious and in need of someone to really “see” them. They have their struggles – a powerful crazy mage ex, duty and responsibility to the queen, and their own insecurities. But, in the end, the find their way to each other and their own HEA.

I have to add that there is also a wonderful array of supporting characters that will have you hoping we get to see more of them in the future. Overall, a well written bit of escapism that I will definitely be reading again!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Marion and Aidan. In this book Aidan is one of the Fairy Queen's honor guards. When his mouth gets away from him and he makes a rude comment that has the Queen punishing him. So she sends him away with a curse on him, she does allow him to choose the place and he thinks the quickest place to rid himself of the curse is Las Vegas. Little does he know how much work he will really have to put into it to rid himself of this curse. What will Aidan do when he finds the woman who can help him with the curse doesn't want anything to do with him?

Marion is on the run she believes the wards that are on Las Vegas will help to protect her from he psycho ex. The thing is while she is trying to learn everything she can in her potions class she is getting tripped up on the love spell. The real problem with this if she can't pass this class she can't take magical defense and that she thinks is the only way to protect herself from her mage ex. Marion has the scars to prove that she makes bad choices when it comes to men so when Aidan sees her in a club and tries to talk to her she does what she always does to feel safe run. The problem with this is she has a meddlesome roommate who just wants to see her happy. What happens when there is no where to run and she isn't sure what she feels for Aidan? Will she open herself up again or run from something good?

This is an amazing story about taking a chance on something special no matter what the future may hold. We find that both of these people have hurts and fears and though they want more they worry about opening up to it. This story will have you wanting to read more in this series. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

aidan, part of the royal guard to the queen, has done it again : didn't think before speaking. this time his punishment/curse takes him away from the court and lands him in las vegas. as lady luck would have it he has a chance encounter with marion. she's beautiful but something about her feels wrong, something is troubling her. as he tries to get closer, marion does the complete opposite, she runs as fast as she can!!
marion doesn't like the attention she got from the handsome elf. she prefers to stay indoors and work on her potions. she needs to pass this class to get further in her education and move on to more helpful spells. after a talk with her potion teacher, marion is at an end. her teacher basically told her she'll flunk her class and the main reason her potions aren't working is because she's lacking an important ingredient : having been in love before. once she knows the feeling she can make her potions with love.
she doesn't now what to do but then the idea strikes her that the stranger might be of help after all. even-though she left him behind she had to admit he made her feel safe and cared for.

will marion and aiden find love? what happens when more of his reason of being here is revealed?
and what about the person that made marion want to learn more about magic?

there is a phrase they say sometimes : you have to let go of the one you love to give them a chance to get back to you. that fits this story to a T!!
loved the story and i'm more then thrilled to read more stories in this world/series.

OMG!! I love this lady, she makes you want to read from the start of the first page to the very last, I was spellbound I couldn't put the book down I needed to finish. From the beginning you learn don't piss off The Queen if you do she will curse you, or something worse.
Aidan Fyrebard is a Elf in the Fairy Queen's honor guard. In fact you can say the Queen loves him 1st of all her honor guards. But sadly Aidan had a huge problem, the things that came out of his mouth were rude and hurtful, no matter how much he tried it sounded terrible. This was the limit of Queens she was so pissed, she wanted to destroy him, but he was so good in her bed, she couldn't destroy him so she CURSE him instead.

                              The Curse
Please a woman less than perfect. And let her see you true. Only then will the portals of Fairy open to you, Aidan Fyrebard.

Marion Adams is taking training classes to be a Witch. Hiding in Las Vegas, while trying to get her Potions from not exploding, but no matter how much she tried it still exploded, which makes her unable to graduate as a Witch. She won't be able to keep herself safe from her cruel ex boyfriend, a Powerful Mage that wants to murder her. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

Sweet and Cute, oh yeah

What a fabulous new twist of the world of fairies. Great all around fun read.

Meet Aiden Fyrebard, guardsmen for the Queen of the Fairy Kingdom. He's one hot blooded sexy goodness all rolled into one. But..when he displeased the Queen by making a comment he gets her wrath. She banishes him to the human realm with a curse. He must please a woman less than perfect and let her see him true, only then will the portals of Fairy be open to him.

Meet Marion, a human witch in magic school trying to get her love potion to not blow up, she needs to get it right to pass the class. Seems like she will never get her life together. Besides the ex boyfriend who tried to kill her 2 yrs ago now she can't get one simple potion right.

When Marion and her friend/roommate Raven decide to go out dancing to just let loose and de-stress, she will be knocked senseless by the cursed fairy himself Aiden. A rooftop meeting will change both courses of life for each.
And when Eric comes for revenge all bets are off.

Will Marion be the one to help Aiden and the curse placed on him, or will she be the one felt cursed when she finds out the truth? Aiden will have to choose between his loyalty to the Queen and what his heart truly wants.

Very enjoyable and a wonderful adventure to say the least.
Highly recommended for any YA and PNR audience. 5 stars

Witch-in-training, Marion fled to Las Vegas to escape being murdered. She's counting on the wards of Vegas to protect her until she can learn the magic to do it herself. Except her love potions keep exploding, and if she can't fix them, she'll never control the defense magic that will keep her safe.

Marion is withdrawn and does not want to be involved with any man, especially after what happened with Eric. Aidan confuses her and she is desperate for help when Eric is released from prison and searching for her to finish what he started. Aidan is intrigued by Marion and the fear and sadness he sees in her eyes. His plan is to help her and return to the Fairy Queen. He does not count in developing feelings for Marion.

Spoilers ahead.
Marion is in a bit of a pickle. Her ex wants to kill her after failing two years earlier. Her love life is non-existent due to her ex putting her off romance, hence the blowing up of love potions because her vibes are so bad she cannot concoct a simple love potion, then along comes Aiden.
Aiden thinks Marion is the answer to his curse from the Fae Queen whom he serves. He has foot in mouth syndrome around the Queen and has angered her causing him to send him away until he can lift the curse she put on him.
Aiden thinks by helping Marion he will help himself, until he realises Marion also owns his heart.
When the truth comes out about why he is helping Marion she is rightfully angry and hurt with him. Then Marion is taken by her ex and Aiden has to save her, except Marion saves herself. Then the Queen calls Aiden back and he goes without saying goodbye to Marion which crushes her again.
My only thought/annoyance was he was going to have sex with the Queen, his body was up for it even if his heart wasn’t, which makes him a bit of a ratbag in my thinking.
I do not think he grovelled enough to Marion at the end. But he did say those 3 little words so all is forgiven.
I really enjoyed this quirky little story and loved some of the other characters we met.

Aidan has a habit of saying inappropriate words, but when he offends the Fairy Queen yet again, she curses him. Transported to Las Vegas, Aidan can only return to Fairy if he breaks the curse and to do that he has to please a woman less than perfect. Marion cannot understand what is going wrong with her love potions; no matter how many times she tries, she cannot get the spell right. Following an abusive relationship, Marion has come to Las Vegas to blend in and hide behind the wards that protect the city from dark magic; even so, she still didn’t feel safe. Marion is a woman of mystery, beautiful, haunted and in need of an Elf just like Aidan; he was one of the Queen’s own, fierce, loyal and handsome and when Marion confides in him about Eric and the fact that he is out to kill her, Aidan says he will protect her – he is a guard and protecting is what he does. But Aidan needs a plan, and he has to call in a few favours, to ensure Marion has the peace of mind she needs, and Eric the punishment he deserves, but not everything goes to plan. Aidan loses his heart to Marion; now what will the Queen do when she finds out – she was not one to share? This was an intriguing story and I enjoyed reading it. Interesting series and I wanna read more. I liked the story. The thing with the Queen was a bit weird. Just the part how the Queen basically uses her guards as sex slaves. You either "service" her or you cant be a guard and your basically worthless to her. I dunno thats just off putting a little but hey thats alright especially when they are oh so willing to please her. I will say she did teach him some valuable lessons. I liked Aidan but he sure could put his foot in it. There were times I wasnt a fan of his and times he was oh so sweet and sexy. Women dont mean much to him past sex. He did end up hurting Marion more than once and that grated. I also understood his plight. He just went about it wrong. Marion she's been through a lot and has been hurt by the first man she trusted. Almost killed her. She's got serious trust issues and she should to a point but not all men are bad or evil like Eric was. Aidan gave her no reason to think he was violent. Her fear got the best of her when she thought he could be Eric and just changed his shape and looks. He's an elf not a shape shifter. Her mind was all screwy at that point and she let her fear dictate that one. The whole phone conversation with the 911 dispatcher was funny. I did enjoy it and it had a HEA. Her roomie and friend Raven was a great addition. I'd like to have known a little about her. Maybe she can get a story too.

Gambling with magic, betting on love. Welcome to Charmed in Vegas!

A witch on a hit list and a cursed elf hit sin city, their hearts and lives on the line.

A brand new Series by Michelle Fox that will not disappoint you at all!!!
Fast paced with a witch and an elf that will make you laugh.
A really great start to a new series .
I can't wait to see what the author has next for us

Bad Potions introduces us to a paranormally charged Las Vegas where all sorts of magic can happen. In this story, Aidan has been cursed and banished from the land of Fairy by its Queen after he angers her. Aidan chooses Las Vegas as the town to start his quest to break the curse and return to his Queen. And he thinks he’s found the perfect person to help him in Marion, a wannabe witch. Marion is having a hard time creating love potions – a skill she has to master in order to move on to learn defensive magic so she defend herself against an evil ex (who happens to be a powerful mage). Aidan and Marion seek to help themselves by enlisting the other to assist. And as they get to know each other, they also find they may be falling in love. But can their growing feelings withstand the obstacles thrown in their path?

Bad Potions is a fun read and hard to put down once you start. The chemistry between Aidan and Marion is quick but hot, and their friends add a lot of humor to the story. You easily find yourself rooting for the couple. This book is part of the Charmed in Vegas series, and it’s definitely a series I plan to continue reading. Fans of paranormal romance should definitely add this to their TBR list.

I received this ARC i exchange for an honest review. Aidan Fyrebard is an elf and apart of the Queen's royal guard. Aidan is cursed and sent to the mortal realm by the Queen after saying the wrong thing. He is cursed to find a woman "less than perfect." The Queen lets Aidan choose where she will dump him, Aidan chooses Vegas. While on his search for the woman to break the curse, Aidan spots Marion out on the dance floor. Something about Marion intrigues Aidan and with help from her roommate, Raven Aidan gets to meet Marion. Marion is very skittish and runs away from Aidan twice. Marion had a bad experience with men, her ex, Eric nearly killed Marion. Marion has locked herself away from any attachment with men by hiding her body under baggy clothes to not be noticed. But, neither Aidan or Raven will let Marion slink off this time, the two plot to get Marion to spend more time with Aidan. Unfortunately, just as Marion and Aidan get closer, her ex, Eric gets out of jail and comes looking for Marion. Aidan calls in some friends and plan out how to capture and get rid of Eric, while he and Marion go somewhere safe. I liked this book, it was fun and playful with poor Marion blowing up her potions, her friendship with Raven and even Aidan on occasion cracking a joke.

This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first page and you will be totally captivated until the last. Marion Adams is a witch in training and she can't graduate because her love potions keep exploding. She has run to Vegas hoping the charms will keep her safe from her ex-boyfriend a powerful mage who is out to kill her. Now Aidan Fyrebard was in the Fairy Queen's guard and he has learned that know matter how much she loves him in her bed she will only take so much and she curses him and he is unable to return to Fairy and the Queen's guard until he undoes the curse. When Aidan meets Marion he believes she maybe what he needs to undo the curse but then her ex finds her and now he must protect her in order to have a chance but he didn't have the slightest intention of falling in love. Out of one frying pan and into another even if the curse ends up broken and he can return to Fairy he is still going to have a very angry Queen to deal with. Find a nice cozy spot and curl up put out your do not disturb sign and hang on for a hot sexy escape!! This is a wonderful beginning to the new series and I am counting the days until the next story arrives. I received an ARC copy for an honest review.

Aidan does not have a silver tongue—in fact he'd be better off not talking at all. His inability has him cursed and sent from Fairy (the land of Fey) to earth to undue the queen's punishment. Choosing Vegas he has contacts and lots of people to choose from to clear his curse.

Marion is hiding in plain sight—and by plain I mean she dresses down, hides behind her hair and tries to blend in to the background. She has good reason. She's trying to pass her magic classes and learn her witchery to protect herself from an ex who almost killed her and wants to finish the job.

When Aidan finds Marion, the plain, she is just the woman to help rid him of his curse. Except, she really isn't plain and there is a strong draw. He just has to get past her fear and distrust. Along with her roommate they convince her to let him at least protect her.

Can he win her over? Worse, if he does, can he leave and return to the queen?

There is plenty of steam in this one. Some very interesting friends with special skills. Watch them fight for their HEA.

Marion is relationship shy, for good reasons; her last boyfriend was an abusive, powerful Mage who took great pleasure in knocking the crap out of her. Marion got away, got him locked up, but Eric, the ex, promised she'd pay. So she moved to one of the most heavily warded cities she could, Vegas, and tried to learn her magic quickly. But her studies aren't going well. Evidently, in order to make a love potion work (and not explode) you have to actually have experience in love.
Aidan is a member of the queen's guard in Fairy. His less than silver tongue has earned him the queen's wrath and a trip to the human realm to complete a task. He has to "please a woman less than perfect" and "let her see him true". His first night in the human realm he finds Marion. Underneath all her baggy clothes, Aiden can see the beauty hiding. But her spirit is broken. Is Marion the woman to fulfill his task?

This is a sweet, sexy, fast-paced story. Twists and turns, exes on both sides, fairies & mages, pixies & witches, and a HEA that must have been written in the stars.

Very cute book that is fast and easy to read over a weekend. Marion is taking classes to become a full blown witch, but her love potions keep exploding on her. She really needs to get this right so she can continue in her studies and gain the means to protect herself from someone in her past. Aidan is an elf that has angered the fairy queen and has been cursed to "please a woman less than perfect and let her see you true." He has chosen Las Vegas to attempt this feat. He picks Marion because he can tell she has problems that make her "less than perfect." He is attracted to Marion, but he also discovers that she is in need of his protection.
You will meet the fae of Las Vegas and learn a little about Fairy Land. The citizens of the world have learned about the existence of magic, but most fae try to stay low key. From trolls to sirens, they have their own little idiosyncrasies. Can Aiden protect Marion from her past? Can Marion ever learn to make a love potion? What will happen when Aiden is forced to "let her see you true"? And, most importantly, will Marion understand when Aiden is forced to leave her and return to the Queen's service in Fairy Land???
