"Help Me Help Others" was written for compassionate individuals who are looking for biblically-based, relational truths to use as they help those in distress. Dr. Wagner's use of real-life examples, end-of-chapter contemplations, and easy-to-follow diagrams increase the ease with which these concepts can be understood and applied.
Dr Wagner gives concrete methods for individuals to grow in areas of forgiveness, restoration in relationships, and our relationship to God. He used simple diagrams that help our minds put things in perspective and more importantly I have found, they work.
Dr. Wagner provides a lot of great tools (psychologically sound from a biblical perspective) that can be used either by mental health professionals or by laypeople trying to help others with personal growth and relationship struggles. The diagrams and illustrations he has come up with over the years are very helpful for understanding (and helping others understand) some key principles to healthy personal and relational growth from a Christian perspective.
