A well written history- dramatic non fiction-that captures the 65th Infantry in the first year of the Korean War. No one will believe what came after the author left the command of the 65th. This is beyond the scope of the book and leaves the total story of this Regiment unsaid. The triumphs soon turned into tragedy.
While the book is not literary fiction it's more than just a memoir.

This is the story of the 65th U.S. Infantry Regiment that fought in the Korean War. The author, W.W. Harris, a Colonel at the time, commanded this tough unit that fought well ans was highly praised. MacArthur, Ridgeway and the Press were all highly complimentary of the unit's record.
