Great coverage, but since this is a book for school children it has been dumbed down quite a bit. What really got me was the reference to Doctor Who's TARDIS as being a telephone booth! I'm guessing that Mr. Munzer didn't want to explain to juveniles that the blue police box was a way to call the Police which also doubled as a holding cell until the bad guy could be transported to the police station. Oh well. But it made me look at all the other entries as possibly containing errors that I was not aware of. Not a bad read, actually sort of fun.

Kids that love science and sci-fi will really like this book. It really is more of a guide/encyclopedia vs a chapter book. But it will captivate the young reader. This book would be good to use in the classroom...I would use it in conjunction with inventions and creative writing.
