it's hard to accurately judge this book for a couple of reasons -- generally, travel guides aren't supposed to be read from front to back like a regular book, they're more meant to be references, and this particular travel guide happens to be 15 years old.

BUT, while not necessarily an engaging read, so to speak, i did get something out of reading this, primarily some factoids regarding new england and its people, places, and history. my suggestion though? unless you're a real trivia nut or starved for something else to read, leave this one up to the reference shelf.
