He’s gonna have to beg for it…

Corinne was young once. She did everything—girls, boys, drugs, toys—and did it in high funky fashion. Reese wasn’t her first lover, but he was the first to submit to her. For a while they had something special, but it ended badly.

She’s a little older now. And the wealthy businessman who just bought the company she works for bears little resemb

Megan Hart is "best known for writing erotic fiction that sometimes makes you cry", and that is what keeps me coming back to her books. Beg for It didn't make me cry, nor did it make me sad as some of her other books did, but I still liked it. Truth be told, I didn't pick it up looking for a good cry, but to see if Megan Hart's books with BDSM elements work for me or not, because that seems to be the direction her newer stories are taking. The verdict is that yes, they could work. I li

How do you slay me, Ms. Hart? Let me count the ways. As per my standard protocol, I did not read the blurb for this story. Why would I? All I need to know is that Ms. Hart wrote it. It is an automatic read. I did make sure I had enough time between the last time I read her book to when I read this one. Because I can only take so much emotional trauma at one time. This story hit all my inner emo-like goth buttons. I tried so hard not to shed a tear reading this story and utterly failed. Ms. Hart' ...more

Megan Hart is a diverse author. I don't think I've read two books, written by her, narrated in the same manner.

This story flips back and forth from present day to events of 15 years earlier. That I could cope with, however the changing from present tense to past tense totally threw me. Past events are told in present tense, present day is spoken in past tense.

The erotic content didn't appeal to me, and I'm all for women taking charge... especially when it involves more than face slappi

DNF Chapter 22.

I find it very hard to focus on this book, my concentration kept straying. It's probably me. But I am not fully convinced for the Corinne and Reese romance. It is my own prejudice, but I find it very hard to imagine Corinne as dominate and Reese submissive.

I am not a stickler with my book heros has to be alpha and dominate, but for this book, I was not fully convinced, and my skepticism made it hard for me to be fully vested into this book.

I kept nodding off, and I am giving up.

I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.

Beg for It by Megan Hart is the story of Corinne and Reese. Corinne and Reese were involved years ago when he was just starting out and she was younger too. In this relationship she was the "Dom" one and he was the 'sub'. Things were going on great but they had a fight and things ended.

Now years later Corinne has been divorced and is a mother of two. Corinne life has hit a boring mark and she constantly think

I liked it, it was hot and I liked the characters. However the ending was rushed and the change in tense from past to present bugged me.

Beg For It by Megan Hart is Corinne and Reese's love story. They've had a past romance back when they were young. They had a relationship where she was Dominant and he submissive. They embraced that their kinks aligned, but then it all fell apart.

After 15 years, Corinne is a divorced mother of two. She's unhappy with her love life, and looks back to her past always trying to figure out how she let Reese get away. Out of the blue, Reese is back in her life by way of purchasing the dairy business

A strong 4.5*

I think this is a really interesting, well written story, and I did not want it to end.

You know when you have a long list of things to do, but you persuade yourself that you can just read one chapter and then get on ... yeah, well don't chance it with this book. I did just that and read through till I had finished - disastrous for my to-do-list, but a definite recommendation for this book!

Book: Beg for it
Author: Megan Hart
Release date: 14 June 2016

Main characters: Corinne Barton Levy, (heroine with a dominant streak) Reese Ebersole, hero and submissive in a former life).

Why you should read it: This is a delightful quick read. I love the whole domme-sub dynamic, as you so rarely read a book where the woman is in charge. This story had it all - which is what I expect from an experienced author like Megan Hart. Corinne and Reese

Loved the older (40's) heroine, loved that she used to be a dom and that she missed that life after marrying a sexually vanilla man and having kids, loved the back and forthing between scenes of her past with scenes of her present. In the past, when Corinne worked as a waitress, a younger farm kid responded to her bossy ways and became her "boy." But their relationship ended badly, for unrevealed reasons. In the present, her "boy" is now a successful Philadelphia financier, one who is set on buy ...more

I Just want to start of saying this is my opinion...

First off we will start with the good..

I loved Corinne and Reese as a couple they were so sweet together, they made sense.

OK, so I think it's the fact it was a Domme that it took me a while to even get into this book, But even so Idid.. What i didn't understand was why Corinne was made into a strict domme, when her character was nothing like that?... I love how she opened Reese up and introduced hi

I enjoyed Corinne and Reese’s story quite a bit. I loved the fact that Corinne was the dominant one. I haven’t read many, if any books like that before. While she was in charge in the bedroom, it wasn’t degrading, and I loved her nicknames for Reese. Corinne and Reese were lovers over 15 years ago. The reason for their breakup is unknown to the reader for most of the book. Fast forward through two children and a divorce and Corinne comes face to face with Reese when he shows interest

The story of Corinne and Reese. This is a little different from Megan Hart’s typical book but still has all the details and angst of Megan Hart. I enjoyed this story and was not disappointed with the story but it’s different from the usual romance books and although some parts were just almost uncomfortable, the way that Reese wore eyeliner and women’s panties, etc. it was still true Megan Hart.

Super sexy and fairly heart-wrenching. We get to see two phases of a relationship: the initial romance between 20-somethings Reese and Corrine, and their reunion more than a decade after breaking up. I love how true-to-life the characters and relationships feel in Megan Hart’s stories, and this is no exception. I’m also happy any time I get to read D/s stories featuring dominant women; it‘s a refreshing alternative to the abundance of male Dom/female sub erotic/romantic lit out there.

Megan Hart will always be one of my favorite writers but I think she does better when her books are longer. When she does shorter fiction, some of the detail and the feeling gets lost.

Wow! I was so pleasantly surprised by this book! It was my first from this author, Megan Hart. It's told from our heroine Corrine's perspective in a dual timeline setup, moving back and forth from the past to the present. As a narrative device, I find this can be a little jarring if it's not handled skillfully but I didn't find myself feeling taken out of the story by having to juggle the timeline in my head at all with this book.

I’m a little undecided about this book. For one thing that blurb is rather misleading – Corinne doesn’t seem to have any encounters with girls or any history of drugs (in fact she pretty much states her sex life away from Reese is pretty vanilla) – and there is no point where Corinne snaps and Reese falls straight back into line. Everything in the warning is blink and you’ll miss it too, so take only the vaguest feelings of Domme/sub from the blurb and you’ll be closer to the truth.

Megan Hart has a flare for taking an ordinary situation and creating an intense and intriguing twist. Beg for It isn’t a run of the mill second chance at love story.

Corinne worked as a waitress while making her way through college. Bitterness filled her as she saw young adults come in, ordering big meals and leaving half of the food to be thrown away, all on their parent’s dime, while she was watching every penny she spent. There she met Reese, a young man who dressed in a very questionable styl

I haven't read a lot of Megan Hart's work, but each time I do, I get caught up in her powerful characters and storylines, and Beg For It is no different. I was immediately drawn in to Corinne and Reese's worlds and needed to know what happened in their past that pulled them apart. Corinna's sadness at recalling her lost love pulled at my heart and won me over right from the start. I needed her to find love as if my own life depended on it. The characters were so compelling that I practically rac ...more

My first Megan Hart read and what a read it was. Corinne and Reese have a relationship that dates back to college, the book flashes from her present now divorced state with two children, happily employed at a job she's had since college and flashes back to her relationship with Reese. I have to stop short calling her a Domme because I don't see her that way. But Reese is her boy as she calls him and the sexual tension and play between the two steams up the pages. Reese lives on a dairy farm, whi ...more

This book messed me up inside. But in a complete and total good way. I was absolutely fascinated with the role reversal that I had come to read over and over again! That’s right ladies, there are some men who will submit to us!

Corrine is older now, wiser, and divorced. But it doesn’t stop her from thinking about her “boy” from the past. Reese, the eager to please boy is a man now. A man who is about to buy her company. When they meet again will the old flames of the past
