So, the first arc ends here. It was a good ending, appropriately epic and emotional for shounen series like this. As a whole this has been "okay" manga for me, nice to read once but I don't think I will come back to this.
Characters are plenty and colourful, action big and flashy and story okay. Some cringey jokes/scenes here and there but could've been much worse.

I planned to take a break after this volume... because I thought if it coincides 99% of the time with the anime, I could use a break...
But nah... Nakaba has to write that 1% in a manner that I need to continue borrowing the next books. Haha!
I really think the best way to appreciate this is to also watch the anime. But it doesn't in any way diminish how awesomely written the manga is. Acckk. Bakit ngayon ko lang naappreciate ang mangas? Hahaha!

It's so ironic (?) that Ban is the sin knight of greed, but he has such a pure heart.

Very good conclusion to this first big part of the series.
Next one looks very promising and full of adventures.

The first major arc ends with this volume. Overall, both this book and the whole arc are good, not brilliant or extraordinary but good. As I said many times before, I like the magic system, I like the character designs and their unique powers, the fight scenes are flashy and fun to read, the plot is sometimes problematic but it keeps you interested enough to make you read the next volume. In this volume, the big battle against Hendrickson finally ends and the Sins are heroes once again. I liked that particular scene with Elizabeth. The ending is okay too.

Elizabeth'in Meloidas'ı bulmasıyla başlayan yedi ölümcül günahı toplayıp krallığı geri alma serüveni burada noktalanıyor. Nihayet Hendrickson ile olan savaş da bitiyor. Artık iyice baymışken güzel bir final oluyor. Savaşlar bittikten sonraki kısım gerçekten çok güzeldi. Karakterler arası diyaloglar ve etkileşimler okurken yüzümde tebessüm yarattı diyebilirim. Animesinde yer verilmeyen bazı sahneler de mevcuttu ve bunlar küçük tatlı sürprizler oldu benim için.

Okay so shame on me. . . But um I came here because Netflix only had season one and a couple of episodes of the second season. I wanted to pick up where the show left off and so I dug a little and found season one ended on book 13.
So I'm in love with the show, Meliodas gets on my nerves a little with how perverted he is and how poor Elizabeth's so sweet and naive. Thank goodness Hawk's around to bang Meliodas over the head.
Okay so I think I may' end missed some things the books had that the anime didn't. *Cough, cough, of course the books have more, cough, cough*
Hendrickson has played his cards hard taking down almost all of the Holy Knights. Causing the new generation to go savage turning into demonic beasts that only wish to kill. Taking down the seven sins and trying to overturn the kingdom.
Then he took out HAWK!
Everyone's shaken to their cores when Hawk's taken down. Elizabeth more than anyone as she stands up against Hendrickson. Through this entire series we're just thinking she's a ditsy princess that loves everyone. Meliodas is just keeping her around for obvious reasons.
Then BOOM! Elizabeth's true power is brought to life! She's the Druid Princess! Not a spoiler because you'll read about it in the first chapter of the book.
Elizabeth's healing powers restores Meliodas and the gang as they take the final stand against Hendrickson.
After the battle has ended it's time to restore order amongst the kingdom. The King, Bartra, returns in mint condition as Merlin decides to rejoin the seven sins. But Meliodas knows she's got other motives for returning.
Things calm down after the big, climatic battle. I want to mention other things, but I don't wish to have spoilers.
Some things have been answered and concluded within the chapters of this volume, but there spring new questions. The book does end with a cliffhanger, a WHOA I DIDN"T SEE THAT COMING, type of cliffhanger. I'm excited for the next book! I really loved watching the Anime, but of course the books are better.
One thing you'll enjoy is the little extras, the ones featuring poor bookworm to the max, Gowther.
If you've watched the anime or have come this far in reading the books then you know there's language. Meliodas is a hands on guy with Elizabeth so expect some sexual things. No sex scenes or anything, but his hands grabbing things. . . Cleavage to the max and Merlin's costume is well. . .she's not afraid to flaunt it.
But I'm loving this series even though some things could be left out, then again it adds to the charm. Now on to the next book!

Hawk si mette tra Hendrixon e Meliodas si becca in pieno la sfera nera uccidendolo, da li Elizabeth per lo shock rivela il suo vero potere e si scopre che lei appartiene al clan delle dee, è un druido con la capacità di curare di guarire le persone, ma non di riportare le persone in vita i morti. Meliodas dunque riprende le forze e insieme ai suoi compagni e i cavalieri sacri mette in atto un’offensiva contro Hendrixon che consiste nell’attacco chiamato “Revenge Counter!” , i cavalieri sacri e i cinque peccatori devono scagliare su Meliodas i loro attacchi più potenti per far si che Meliodas li inglobi e li spedisca contro Hendrixon facendolo in mille pezzi. Hawk è misteriosamente tornato in vita anche se molto più piccolo del normale. Il re si congratula con i Seven Deadly Sins e bacchetta i cavalieri sacri orinandogli di dare una mano ricostruire la città. C’è festa e baldoria in tutto il regno e Gowther inizia ad avere strani comportamenti, Ban lascia i Seven Deadly Sins per cercare un modo per riportare in vita Eliane e per il fatto che ha attaccato il suo migliore amico, viene seguito da Jericho che in precedenza l’aveva salvata della trasformazione in demone, cosi lei si è innamorato di lui e King che si vergogna di rimanere con Diane ora che ha recuperato la memoria e per sorvegliare come detto da sua sorella si incammina insieme a lui nella nuova foresta dei folletti, dove arrivati King non viene accolto bene e i folletti hanno incoronato Ban il nuovo re dei folletti. Nell’extra c’è una storia su Arthur e il re di liones. questo volume è stato dinamico fino alla fine della battaglia poi diventa un po’ blando ma comunque interessante, io vi avevo avvertito che Gowther ci avrebbe fatto dannare , un personaggio freddo e calcolatore come una macchina.

En este volumen se podría decir que termina las líneas argumentales principales que fueron mostradas desde el primer volumen. Se terminaron de aclarar algunas dudas sobre la "traición al reino" de los 7 pecados capitales y el conflicto con los caballeros sagrados llega a su fin.
La primera mitad del volumen es el final del combate contra Demonio-Dios Hendrickson. La batalla me gustó aunque la estrategia de Meliodas no me sorprendió, el surgimiento de poderes nuevos de un personaje conocido si me sorprendió y obviamente alzó nuevas preguntas para el siguiente gran arco de la historia.
La segunda mitad funciona a manera de epílogo y nos muestra el nuevo status quo de los personajes. La conclusión del volumen me dejó intrigado para lo que sigue y definitivamente la seguiré leyendo pero creo que en términos generales este volumen dejó mucho que desear en cuanto a emociones e intrigas. Si bien esta serie me ha asombrado mucho en ocasiones con la historia que está contando, aquí no me asombró tanto y un volumen de pelea y epílogo no es suficiente para cuatro estrellas, pero creo que lo que sigue se pondrá mejor, todavía quedan muchas preguntas por responder.

The manga that was turned into the anime of the same name, volume 13. This book covers the same material as the rest of Season 1 episode 23, most of episode 24 (though with differences listed below). None of Season 2 (the 4 episode season) with the minor exception of little vignettes is in the manga (though it is possible those stores will play out in later volumes of the comic). The book goes on to have bits of season 3 episode 1 and bits of season 3 episode 2 in it.
The end of season 1 of the show have a nice neat wrap up which does not match with the comic at all. It seems likely that the anime caught up to the manga at that point perhaps and made a neat ending without setting up for the next major story arch.
Other than the different end between the book and season 1 of the show there were little side stories that were not in the show... for instance, in the book Slader has a crush on Gowther. Another difference was that Elizabeth didn't heal herself when she healed everyone else in the capital at the boss battle in the books Meliodas has to convince her to heal herself.

Now this is a really good use of foreshadowing, regarding Elizabeth's powers. They've been laying the seeds here and there for 50 or so chapters now, to give us something that is very surprising but still believable. Very well done. She continues to be a premier Shonen female character.
Also this is where the bonus stories actually start getting quite good (aside from the Ban and King ones that we've already seen). The Partner's side story is very touching.
Ultimately the arc was concluded in a satisfying and believable way, I'm just going to need explanation as to how Hawk survived but I feel like that's going to come. Glad to have him back though!

In this volume, the sins and the knights fought and won against Hendrickson, however, he escapes with the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. The King of Liones, Bartra (Elizabeth's father) thanks the sins for their help and orders the Holy Knights to restore the city after what happens. Ban and King leave the group in the last chapters and both of them, alongside Jericho go to the Fairy King Forest. It was a good volume and it was also nice to see a little bit more of the fairy race.

Sono rimasta sbalordita dalla forza del potere che si è risvegliato in Elizabeth, scoprendo che ha il sangue delle sacerdotesse dei druidi, riesce così a curare tutti in modo che riescono a sconfiggere il nemico. Molto tenero il momento in cui Meliodas per farla svegliare le dice che non può vivere senza di lei e divertente il risveglio di Hawk. Sono curiosa di scoprire cosa succederà a Ban e King nella foresta del re dei folletti.

Ma son rimasta così indietro ad aggiungere i volumi su GR? Mammamia, che pigra che sono!
Ban è un grande, ma Merlin potrebbe anche batterlo. Ha un fascino incredibile come personaggio.
La prima grande battaglia è finita ma non è detto che i Seven Deadly Sins rimangano ancora insieme. Fortuna che ho letto il volume successivo il giorno dopo perché con un finale del genere con Ban protagonista...

Un bonne fin d'arc avec pas mal de révélations et un combat final très sympathique. J'ai ressenti pas mal d'émotion à travers cette lecture. Après ce gros combat on enchaine sur un nouvel arc où les Seven Deadly Sins se séparent de nouveau. Cet arc amène pleins de question et promet d'être riche en émotion j'ai déjà hâte de pouvoir lire la suite de la saga. Bref, encore une fois une bonne lecture.

Oh my gosh, the fight with Hendrickson is finally over! I really thought it was never going to end, folks. I'm not sure where this next arc is going, but I wish Jericho wasn't in it. I was so hoping we weren't going to have a tsundere character, but I suppose no shounen series is safe from the inevitable tsundere character. Oh well, here's hoping this next arc is good.

Llegamos al final del primer arco y debo de admitir que Nanatsu no Taizai es una historia bastante sólida. Aún hay ciertas dudas que no han sido aclaradas pero estoy tan emocionalmente conectado con los personajes que no pude evitar sentir tremenda felicidad.
Estoy bastante intrigado por continuar la historia y ver qué le depara el futuro a los siete pecados capitales.

Fin spectaculaire de l'arc et transition vers le prochain... finalement Elizabeth est badass ??! qui l'eût cru ??
Vraiment contente de l'évolution de certains personnages (Guila et Jericho par exemple <3)

Absolutely love the anime so figured I would give the manga a shot, and boy was I half I did. The manga is, in my opinion, far superior to the already outstanding anime. If you like the anime and story of The Seven Deadly Sins, give the manga a go, you won't be sorry.

oh wow so season 1 of the anime was around 100 issues, that's kinda crazy.
it has nothing to do with the story but the cover for this volume had so much potention, but they used the villain as a background.

Me da risa como le ponen que es la pelea final como si se estuviera acabando la historia cuando aún queda más de la mitad XD en este tomo estuvo la casi muerte más triste en toda la historia, los poderes de elizabeth también vaya sorpresa
