Even the Most Damaged Man Deserves a Wife and Baby.

Elle
I'm a strong girl. I stand up for myself. But no one else ever stood up for me before. At least, not until Forrester came along. He came out of nowhere, but already, I know I can count on him. From the moment I set eyes on him, I knew I would be his girl. He loves me for who I am, for what I can offer, and he's begging me to give him a baby so that his life can be complete and full of love.

Forrester
I was always one of those men who thought they didn’t deserve love. I thought it wasn’t for me. I could get girls in my bed, sure, but it never went anywhere. I was broken. Until I met Elle. She made me realize that I deserved true love after all. She changed my life. She healed me. And I would die for her now. If there’s one thing I am, it’s loyal. I’m so loyal to Elle I would give my life for her.

Elle taught me that even the most damaged man, still deserves a wife and baby.

How do I put this? Considering the amount of cheese and the absurd situations I actually kind of enjoyed it! 2.5 stars

Forrester was a sweetheart and a bad ass. Such a sad history. He was all in for Elle. Hero knows how to take care of himself and has no worries about taking on 5 guys at one time. I might pay to see that. Way too cheesy!

Elle had a horrible childhood. Unimaginably horrible! Thank goodness we only got the low lights and did not have to hear the details.

Aside from the insta love cheese the story was pretty good for awhile. After the drama concluded, it just got boring. Like the author did not know how to shut it down. Write an epilogue! Don't drag out the story!

Number 1 way I could tell this was written by a man?

Most Eligible Baby Daddy is a fast-paced, emotional love story about two broken people searching for the impossible... love. Chance Carter weaves an amazing story with interesting characters, a great story-line, suspense, danger, attraction, and romance, which all leads to love and a HEA.

I received a courtesy copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first time being an ARC, so Thankyou Chance Carter for allowing me the opportunity to do that.

Well, to start with i give this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

THE PLOT:

Elle is getting away from her past by moving to Stone Peak.
Forrester is returning to Stone Peak to face the past.
They meet at Elle's workplace.
Both their pasts come back to haunt them, do they stick together or go their separate ways?!

Well, you guys will have to read this book to find out.☺

I loved how Forrester and Elle had insta-love and how no one could stand in their way of getting what they want and how they overcame their fears to love each other.

There isn't too much drama in Most Eligible Baby Daddy.
No cheating.
It can be read as a standalone and there is a HEA.

I really loved the premise of this book and I really wanted to love this book, but I really didn't. The sentence structure was all over the place, the story and writing were weak, and the author really blew it re: adoption.
"She learned about Lacey, and her father, the man who'd adopted Forrester and rescued him from the system. She also learned that Forrester had three other men he called his brothers, even though they were also guys who'd been adopted by Lacey's father."
I hate to state the obvious but if one person adopts a boy, then adopts more boys... they ARE brothers, not just "three other men he called his brothers". This may seem like nitpicking but there are a lot of people in the adoption community and I can promise you that this would be found extremely offensive to the vast majority of them.

In this book, the female protagonist (Elle) flees her abusive boyfriend and ends up in the same town as Forrester, who was there to bury his abusive father. When the abusive boyfriend finds her in that town, he convinces the corrupt police chief to jail Forrester and let him beat up Forrester whenever he wants. Um... okaaaay. Then he kidnaps Elle and starts driving her back to where they lived together. Somehow Forrester convinces this corrupt Police Chief to do the right thing and let him go, so he can go after Elle and the abusive ex. Once he catches up with them, the abusive ex pulls a gun on Elle telling her that if he can't have her, no one can. Forrester is able to talk the abusive ex into dropping the gun and doing the right thing and letting Elle go. (what the hell?!) Then Elle says goodbye to her abusive ex and encourages him to treat the next girl better than he treated her, and he agrees. (is this the twilight zone??) Does Forrester have some sort of magical voice that can convince a corrupt police chief and a murderous abusive boyfriend to stop behaving that way and do the right thing? And later Forrester and the police chief are buddies. I had so many WTF moments while reading this book.

There wasn't much I could find redeemable about this story. There is insta-love between Elle and Forrester, and I'm fine with that, but within 24 hours of meeting her, Forrester decides Elle's "The One", and decides to have unprotected sex with her in order for her to have his baby. In fact he makes this decision for the both of them and announces this to Elle in the middle of having sex with her, and she's completely fine with it. Each time they have sex after that, the author mentions the fact that the sex is unprotected for the purpose of impregnating Elle. (we get it, you don't need to keep repeating it) Also Forrester kept talking about his large wang during sex. I have no problem with dirty talk during a sex scene, but a guy repeatedly mentioning the large size of his wang during sex is weird. The dirty talk came across as comical.

It really felt like this is a book was written exclusively for frat boys, in what would stereotypically be desirable to them. I finished this book because I try to finish every book I read, but it was really difficult to get through the book due to the low quality of writing and story.

***Contains spoilers****
I was really looking for some growth with the writing from this author and I can see the potential but it just seems to fall a little short for me. I feel the 3 Stars is probably a bit generous but seeing as how I gave the last one 2.5 I felt this was a slight improvement, anyway.
It had some up and down moments for me and I think the first half was much better then the last.
Again it felt very repetitive and had some editing issues.
I understand its fiction but there just seemed to be so many unexplained things happening that it left me feeling WTF!!!
I mean Elle leaves her abusive partner after 3 year, that's awesome always a good thing BUT then jumps straight into things with Forrester without no real personal growth, hhmmm, ok!
This author is big on the insta-love which is fine but this was fast, not even 24hrs and he knew she was the one and then bam, no protection and you will have my baby, wayyyyy to fast without much relationship development for me sorry.
So the abusive ex finds her pretty quickly and somehow manages to corrupt the Police Chief after telling him a couple lies about the H, who then lets him beat the crap of Forrester (along with the 4 douches who were causing trouble for Elle previously), whenever he wants, so bad in fact that he breaks Forrester's ribs, I mean come on!! REALLY!
Ok cool so then the ex kidnaps Elle to take her home again, Forrester is then able to get the Police Chief to see the error of his ways and releases him , STILL with busted ribs, he then chases them down on a motorbike, ok......THEN the abusive ex pulls a gun on Elle with the whole "if I cant have u, no one can" routine, but Forrester is able to talk him down after he pulls the gun on him, magic!
Then Elle is nice to the ABUSIVE ex, hoping he will be nicer to his next victim, I mean girlfriend, WTF... He should be in jail, I mean seriously, he doesn't deserve a pat on the hand he needs a jail cell, for real!! Also no consequences for the corrupt Police Chief as well!!
So the H and h have lots of sex, everyone is friends and they move back to be with the brotherhood. This review I know sounds really negative for the 3 star rating but I felt there was enough improvement from the last to warrant it.

Gotta love those bad boys and their good girls

This is Chance Carter's third book in his series. No matter which book you pick up by this author, you will never be disappointed. Chance Carter has the ability to look into the soul of a woman. Forrester and Elle. All the odds were against them. Both abandoned, one way or the other by their parents, neither felt worthy of love. Till they found each other. The love between them just sizzles off the pages! Every girl needs a "Forrester"!
The lengths they go too for their love is heartwarming and at times heart wrenching. You will not be disappointed by anything from this author. I tear through his books like a delicious box of chocolates! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good sexy time!

Forester and Elle, both raised without love in their lives. I was so into this book. The route these two had growing up was heartbreaking. To find each other in a small town was a miracle. I couldn’t put this book down. Chance Carter, ya did a fantastic job telling this story. Bravo. Highly recommended! ❤️

Well... this book is completely, utterly, ridiculously over the top... like WAY too much. But the author completely lost me at this passage:

And then there was a smashing sound. The entire windshield fell in on them in a million pieces. Gris released his grip of her neck and she gasped for air. Then she saw what had happened. Forrester had picked up the motorcycle, which must have weighed hundreds of pounds, and flung it through the windshield.

... Why do I even bother with these kinds of books?

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Elle Barclay and we get Forrester Stone's story. When this book opens up we find Elle has finally had enough of her abusive boyfriend she is leaving today and not coming back. While leaving she makes sure to hit him where it really hurts in his precious car. She rams into it not once but twice just so that he knows she isn't taking it from him anymore and won't be coming back. She drives for as long as she can with the minimal amount of money she has and ends up in Stone Peak where she goes to a dinner and finds a woman who may just save her. Kelly has seen that look before the I got nothing and I'm beat down look. She knows that Grace really needs more help at the dinner so she offers Elle a chance, and she shines. Elle is exactly what this cafe has needed she is great with customers, never complains about the hours or the amount of work. However with all of the good Elle knows that something is going to give and this will be in the form of her ex Gris. Gris is not a man to give up easily and though Elle left him he will get her back by any means necessary. There is still hope though if Elle can just give him a shot to prove that he isn't like every other man she has met, Forrester could be her knight in rusty armor.

Forrester is going back to a place that he never wanted to ever go and he is doing it without his brothers or the wives. He feels like he must face this demon alone, though they worry he knows this is the best. So when he stops at the cafe and meets Elle he is struck by this need to be near her, with her, own her. He always said he needed to meet the right woman before he had kids and he knows he has met her. Just like his brothers before him he knows from the first moment, now can he get her to see he means it. Life has never been easy for Forrester so why would being with the woman he is meant to spend the rest of his life with be any different. If there is one thing Forrester knows though is he can fight if he needs to for the things that are important, and fight he will for Elle till his dying breath.

This is an amazing story that shows even in the worst of times there is hope. Each of these characters show an inner strength that can only come from fighting for that hope. Just like Chance's previous books he has matched another perfect couple. They are meant to be together because they bring out the best in the other and lift them up when they need it most. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. This will show you that fighting for love is always the right thing to do and will make you want to show someone special what they mean to you.

I was given this copy as a ARC for a fair and honest review. It's always hard to decided if you want to try a new book from a new Author that sometimes nobody has ever heard of so if my reviews help you make up your mind then I'm pleased to say you won't be disappointed with this New Author Chance Carter . I've so far read all three books that he has written and enjoyed them very much.
Forrester had been abused by his father since he was born his mother died while giving birth to him. Elle was given to a gang when she was a baby that dealt with sex trafficking because her mother had no choice but Elle always felt she wasn't good enough to be loved by someone her own mother had given her away and didn't love her. Now that Elle is grown she's living with a loser boy friend named Gris that is abusive to her, she's had enough and has decided to leave. Driving in the snow her car barely makes it to Stone Peak she's decided this small town will hopefully get her back on her feet. Forrester is called home to the town in Montana named Stone Peak where he was "raised" as his father has died and the estate needs to be handled. Just as in any other story the heroes are damaged and have to work through issues in order to be together. This story is riveting from beginning to end. Forrester is a man with commitment issues as well as fear of people hurting him so he observes a lot and is just enough of a softie along with his bad boy persona to win Elle and convince her that forever with him is the only future she should see. But Elle has issues of her own that makes her unable to trust people as well. All in all they meet in a diner when he stops for coffee and her first day as a waitress in the small town now will they be able to break their walls and let each other in or will there pasts destroy them before they even begin. There's some action, romance and some heart felt moments that will either melt your heart or make you cry. You'll have to decide from the first book I've read from this author his books get better and better and are flowing smoothly not really and grammar issues but are one misspelled word otherwise I loved it and you will too.

I wa given an ARC copy for an honest review. I loved this book so much that I also purchased it.

If your looking for an intense story of love, life, and a HEA look no further. This book will keep you engaged. This book makes for an excellent addition to any library!!

Sometimes we allow our past to define us. Sometimes we allow our past to set us free.

Elle Barcley is a woman running from an abusive relationship. Elle is brave, she is beautiful, but vulnerable. Never feeling loved. Always wondering if love was only an illusion, she sets off to find herself. During her journey she stops in a small town in Montanna, where she is friended by two different women. These women embrace her into their circle of friendship. They give her a job, a place to stay.

Never forgetting his past, Forrester Snow returns to Montanna where he lived a life of hell to bury his mean, abusive father. Wondering into a small diner for a hot cup of coffee, Forrester and Elle's paths cross.
Forester and Elle's story is a revitng, compelling story of two people who had to endure life altering abuse that changes them forever. Regardless of obstacles in their way Forrester and Elle share an irrevocable bond. They have a relationship that teaches them both with shocking clarity what real love is. Loving blindly, loving despite flaws, loving each other despite the horrible things that made them feel unloveable.

This book, this author is freaking fantastic. All my life I have waited for a male author to write a story on how to love a woman, flaws and all. Every woman should have a Forrester Snow in their life. He is simply is a light that everyone needs when they feel unloved. He pulls them out of the darkness. After reading this I felt loved. Chance Carter reminded me through his natural talent for writing that true all encompassing love does exist. I look forward to reading more of Mr. Carter's books. I'm a forever FAN!!

I received this for a honest review. I just love Chance Carter’s book. He has such a talent when it comes to writing a hot steam bad boy romance.

I loved reading about Elle Barclay. A lot of people might look at her as weak. Not me she truly was an amazing character. It was like a reading about a flower blooming. She had been through so much in her life. Her mother did not love her and felt like she could never be loved by anyone. She had an abusive boyfriend by the name of Gris that she found the courage to leave. Oh, and wait when you read about her leaving him. You will get a good laugh. Go Elle!!!

If you have read any of the pervious books then you probably already know a little about Forrester. Forrester and Elle are connect to a certain degree. They also have a lot in common. Forrester had a very hard pass. He suffered so much when he was a child.

I love the bond and friendship that Forrester has with Faith, Lacey, Grant, Jackson, and Grady. Forrester might of had a hard childhood but he now has a family he can rely on.

Elle was lucky the day she walked into the restaurant and talked to Kelly. Kelly ended up being such a great friend and Gracie was like the mother of the bunch. Elle finds herself no longer alone.

The moment Forrest met and touched Elle he knew she was special. Oh, wait till you read their first encounter, so funny. Forrest and Elle will not have an easy road ahead of them. Between the town and and Elle’s ex they will run into some road block.

This was such an awesome and touching story especially when it comes out how Ellie is connected to Forrest’s family. This is a book I highly recommend.

By far the best book by Chance carter. I loved forrester's character the most. Espically with every think he went through and how he still never gave up hope and never closed of his heart. Forrester is the quite one but that doesn't mean he isn't just as deadly. Forrester is ready to become the man he was meant to. Be to do that he must return to his childhood home town and face the demons of his past in order to move on. His father is dead and now he must sort it out. But Forrester doesn't care and isn't interested in what the will has left as he doesn't want it. Because of his child hood Forrester never lets a women get close to his heart. Always distance but never gives up.

Elle is brave, scared and suffers from her inner demons. Being sold as a child affect Elle more then she wants to admit. Always afraid of being a lone and unloved. She finally found the courage to escape her ex-boyfreind. Escaping was the easy part but now Elle is in a town with no money or friends. Strong willed and refusing to go back Elle is determined to start a fresh life.

Forrester and Elle's story is amazing, 2 souls who have suffered a lot of both physical and emotional abuse find each other in a small town with past ghosts and past demons who still affect them. To be happy both must over come their fears. Loved this story,

Having just finished another of Chance’s books, I’d hoped “Most Eligible Baby Daddy” would show the author’s growth with his writing. There are lots of potential stories that could include characters from the Brotherhood, but this one wasn’t skillfully executed. The repetitive nature of the writing makes this story feel like it’s mostly filler. Even choice of description used in the love scenes was a little off-putting as being too clinical or just a little strange. It took me out of the story when I had to ask myself, “Does anybody really say/think something like this in a moment of passion?” This made for a bumpier reading experience for me.

“Bad Boy Baby Daddy” is part of a larger story where characters from other stories can pop into the narrative, but for readers who haven’t read previous books, it would be nice to have added some back story and brief explanations of established relationships. This could have made it easier for readers new to the series to catch up. Some of the themes here were similar to “Bad Boy Baby Daddy”, another of the series. Of the three Chance Carter books read, I liked this one least, but that may have been because I expected more.

This is the 3rd book I have read by this author and my favorite so far. Our H is Forrester, another member of The Brotherhood. Our h is Elle, my favorite h to date from this series.

Forrester was amazing. He was brought into The Brotherhood Family after a horrible childhood. His mother ended up with an awful man and when she died giving birth to Forrester, he took his anger out on his young son. He was evil, mentally and physically abusive. Forrester was rescued (I think) at 12. He has grown into a good man but deep down seems to still struggle with his past. When he recieves a letter that his father has died and he needs to deal with his estate, he has to go back to the past he ran from. Elle had an even worse childhood. Her mother didn't want her and sold her to the Los Lobos when she was 2. She grew up with them but the members started getting killed off before she was forced into sexual slavery. She then ended up with an abusive man and finally got away from him and ran to a small town to start over. There Elle and Forrester meet.

The insta-love and not much drama made this an easy and enjoyable book for me. Forrester's want of a family made me love him. I can't wait to get to Grady's book.

I received this for my honest review. I have read the first two books by this brilliant author and loved them, this one I think is even better. This was well put together with a storyline full of past heart breaking abuse, suspenseful danger, trusting issues, that end with love, hope and finding your soulmate. The characters are brilliant and you can't help but take them into your heart, you also get to catch up with previous characters which is great. All the characters are so well developed and there is enough spice to keep the sweetness of this story fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to any romance reader.
Elle has escaped an abusive relationship when her car gives up in a small town in Montana, Forrester is called home to the same place where he was "raised" as his father has died and the estate needs to be handled. Forrester is just enough of a softie and with his bad boy image he is determined to win Elle and convince her that forever with him is the only future she should see. This story grabs you from beginning to the end, I won't do spoilers but hope you read this and the others by Chance Carter as he really does have a great style of writing.

Kindly provided with an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.......

Me likey !!!. This was quite the pleasant surprise for me given that I have read a few "Bad Boy Books" recently. So what's it about ?

I'll tell you.......
This is Elle and Forrester's story. Both are trying to deal with their personal demons. Elle and Forester meet and because their demons are so similar, I guess they gravitate towards each other. Like minded people and all that. But both have their reasons for being gun shy of getting into a relationship. But boy oh boy the chemistry was there !!!

Anyway their past demons eventually collide with present day, but this time they are stronger together. Chance writes a beautiful love story with plenty of angst, twists and heat. The character's worked for me and I found the plot interesting enough to keep my attention until all was revealed.

So, for me this one was a winner. Well done Chance. 5 "Don't let your past define you" Stars From Me !!!

Later peeps xx

*ARC received in return for an honest review*
The plot line is good but the writing is pretty crude. The words just don't flow gracefully. Also, things happen that have no logic. For example, the cowardly sheriff and the four "boys" that were party to the beating and imprisonment of Forrester suddenly see the error of their ways with no explanation and do a complete turnaround. It just doesn't make sense. This book of the series takes place in another location and the rest of the family hardly makes an appearance so it's easy to forget, but these men of the brotherhood are criminals. They are not honorable and heroic men although they can perform heroic acts. How did they become so rich? Their criminal activities? Or did they just inherit from the criminal who took them all in as young men? I appreciate the gift of an ARC from the author and I feel bad I can't be more enthusiastic about the book. I disagree with all the five star reviews. Overall the book is an okay read but the rough writing, which other reviewers don't seem to mind, really detracts from the story.

Love conquers all

So this is my third book by chance Carter!! I absolutely loved it. He writes wonderfully about tortured souls. This is the love journey of Elle and Forrester. Both of them had a horrible childhoods Elle's mom gave her away when she was a baby to settle a debt. And these people were harden criminals and they were grooming her to become a prostitute. Now that's bad but just as bad was foresters story. His father hated him from the day that he was born because his mother died in childbirth and he never ever for gave him for that. Never mind Forrest is father treated his mother terribly. Forrester's mother had some problems just before she gave birth but his father would not allow a midwife nor doctor to see her. Yet he blamed his newborn son for killing his wife. SMDH. Anyway these two damage people met and fell in love. It's a very touching I totally recommend this book to you definitely five stars. I There is one more brother and he needs a woman so I can't wait to see what happens with that one.

I loved this Chance Carter book, once again he weaves compelling love story. Ellie has had a rough life filled with pain and rejection. Forrester was punished by a heartless man who blamed him for his mother’s death. Sparks fly when Forrester takes Ellie’s hand. He’s not even sure why he did it, but as things continue to develop he’s convinced he had to do it. In Forrester’s arms Ellie finds everything she has ever wanted but was afraid to dream she deserved. Events happen to shake Ellie’s faith in Forrester but she pushes through to claim her future. Great drama and heart. Thank you Chance for another great book in this series.. 💎

Life has a funny way of bringing people together even when those people think they are too damaged and don't deserve love. Forrester and Elle come together with a bang and trouble isn't too far behind. They both have suffered through torment and torture in their lives but keep going. One small town brings life back into these two when they thought all was lost. Chance Carter really pulled these characters together and brought them to life.

I tried - but I can't do the insta-love, insta-you-will-have-my-baby. I just can't do it. And I realize that you need to suspend reality when reading this type of fiction, and I am OK with that, HOWEVER, Elle's character was just way beyond unrealistic. Also - it's written in 3rd person which I do not like at all. Just too many negatives to overcome and too many other options in my TBR list.
