Help your child get a head start in reading with Beaver Books' Sight Word Stories. Each story features two commonly used words, called 'sight words.' Read along with your child and point to the sight words as they appear in the story. Through repetition children can improve their reading speed and confidence by memorizing sight words and building a sight word vocabulary.

Another very basic learn-to-read type book but made for the very youngest of readers as it only focuses on teaching up/down. As such the book basically keeps to the same simple words and just makes a story about repeating the same lines while adding different details such as two or three.

The pictures are brightly colored and detailed but I find that it must have been hard to try to show how much this particular frog jumped since if you follow the movement line then the frog did some extra hopping around.

All in all it was a cute and fast read while one that will help the caregiver to share this book while pointing out the words to children in their care.

Great early reader text. Focuses on two new sight words. I would place as a Yellow on the ARC color levels. Great repetition and picture clues for readers.
