Rate this book
It’s a question every sewing enthusiast asks—what to do with all those leftover odds and ends? Wonder no more, because you can take those scrap fabrics, buttons, lace remnants, and other materials and create this vast assortment of fun and creative projects. Using buttonhole and chain stitches, make a Decorated Apron with fabric adornments such as appliqués. Join multiple fabrics to put together a Patchwork Tea Cozy and Coffeepot Sleeve, or rest easy on a Silk Scarf Bolster pillow. They’re all simple enough for novices to tackle, but offer intermediate and even advanced crafters a wealth of great ideas. Embroidery, sewing, using ribbons and trims, and patchwork techniques are all covered, as are sewing box basics.

2.5 stars. Many of the projects in this book are much larger than I think of when I see the word "scrapping," and they often seem to focus more on embellishments/embroidery. The written instructions were sometimes difficult to understand/follow. I just wasn't impressed or moved to create anything.

The photographs are lovely though.

Nice, easy ideas, particularly for using scraps from Gram's sewing basket. I love vintage needlework, but never know how to display it or use it. Now I'm inspired! A pretty book to browse.
