Absolutely loved this as an audiobook. I this is my first romance. I usually listen to Cozy mysteries or mythology.

Cara has never moved on from her divorce. She’s has two beautiful daughters but feels her life isn’t going on a direction. Lucky for her one man is about to change everything.

Her class reunion is coming up and she wants to look good. Finn is a guy who she meets at work and he ends up helping her. He’s younger, fitters and easy on the eye. Cara doesn’t see the things he sees in her.

When life throws you curveballs, the last thing you want to do is attend your high school reunion. But sometimes we don't realize how much strength we have, until we're forced into an uncomfortable circumstance. I liked the premise of The Girl Most Likely and Jana Richards portrays angst and conflict well in this romance. While I found it a tad difficult to relate to the characters, I did enjoy the story.

Romancing the Book

This one seemed a bit too short. Put together as it is it's a great novella, but I wish there had been more between the lines. The 'romance' doesn't seem to be supported enough. So many things were well written, that it made the center of the book seem a bit empty or lacking. Or it just moved faster than I thought fitting. This would have been excellent with 50 more pages or so and a few more scenes developing the relationship between Cara and

There are times when we much grow and build or grown to move on. I think it was a little harder than Cara thought to move on with life after divorce. She tried going back to school. She tried being an intern. She tried being single and happy. She still was working on her self-esteem. She had baggage to lose and a life to reclaim. She had life lessons to learn even when they are hard and n

Cara McLeod isn’t having a great year so far, heck make that decade. Not only has her husband left her for a younger woman, she can’t see her toes anymore and her mother won’t leave her in peace about anything for even a day. Then, to put the icing on the cake she has a dead end job and two teenage daughters who aren’t her biggest fans. To say that Cara is having a bad decade is putting it lightly, but will a chance meeting with Finn

Recommends it for: readers of inspiring, "spicy" romance
This story starts out great. It's rare to read a romance with an overweight heroine, especially one as well developed as Cara (and I mean that in the character sense). Finn is an amazing hero. I really fell in love with him, even though he's a bit more beta than I expected from a personal trainer.

The humor, by the way, is fantastic. It's never overdone and was applied at just the right moments. Also, Jana Richards really captures what it's like to feel overweight (at any size) as well as Cara's

The Girl Most Likely is a charming addition to the Class of '85 Reunion series. Cara McLeod was voted the Girl Most Likely in high school. She's facing her 25th Reunion divorced, underemployed, and feeling like a dumpy doormat. When fitness trainer Finn Cooper appears as a guest on the noon talk show at the station where Cara works, she decides her life is due some changes. The one she thing didn't expect was attention from the handsome, and younger, Finn. Jana Richards brings memorable characte ...more

Loved this book! Jana Richards writes with great wit and a sharp eye for detail, making her characters and story feel absolutely real. I found myself empathizing with both hero and heroine, alternately chuckling along with them and cringing--because that's how life is sometimes, and Jana doesn't gloss over the embarrassing moments. Who among us hasn't faced the prospect of attending a reunion, and panicking because there's just a month (or two weeks, or ten days) left in which to transform yours ...more

The Girl Most Likely is a must read for anyone who wants to read about real characters involved in a feel good, second chances, come with me and we will succeed, love is worth the sacrifice romance.

Cara and Finn are two such characters who, along with Cara's two charming and realistically crafted daughters, realize a much deserved happily every after.

In her book for the Class of '85 series of The Wild Rose Press, Ms. Richards delivers a well written, enjoyable and, above all, believable and ente

Jana Richards has tried her hand at many writing projects over the years, from magazine articles and short stories to paranormal suspense and romantic comedy. She loves to create characters with a sense of humor, but also a serious side. She believes there's nothing more interesting then peeling back the layers of a character to see what makes them tick.
