Maniac Drifter by Laura Marello
I am a pretty eclectic reader but I have always struggled with books which are described as “funny” or “hilarious”. The last, very popular, comic novel I read was a dismal failure for me. While my book group laughed at the protagonist’s struggles I felt so sad that she had been landed in such a cold and selfish community.
