(READ THIS AGAIN)

This was really fun to read again. I did it because its sequel is out and I wanted to remind myself of all the ins and outs of this story. I am really glad I did, it was a really fun book to revisit!

Again, another book with no faults.

perfect for fans of Cassandra Clare. Angels, demons and more supernatural beings in Hawaii!
I need the sequel... Mary, I love you!!

What I loved was the uniqueness of this novel. I have read many angels and demons books and The Chosen Knights is very different compared to the ones I’ve read, in a good way. I enjoyed the twists and turns. I believe fans of angels and demons will enjoy this novel!

Review

‘The Chosen Knights’ is the first novel in the spinoff series 'The Angel Knights'. This is the second series which the author, Mary Ting, has written about the wonderful world of angels and demons set in Crossroads, a place where Nephilim children reside. If you're new to this author and/or series, you may want to start with the either the prequel, 'The Angel Knights', or go back to where it all began in the 'Crossr

When I pick up a book with so many 5 stars ratings and raving reviews I expect a certain level of writing and character development and such.

Sadly, many times great ratings don’t mean a great book. I have to say the idea for this story was very attractive and I really wanted to like it. The concept of angels protecting humans from demons, fighting alongside other demons and supernatural beings is very interesting and should be highly entertaining.

I believe the biggest issue I had with th

Fantastic supernatural fantasy that will appeal to fans of Richelle Mead, Melissa Marr, and Michelle Madow.

There are a lot of characters in this story, which I thought would become confusing, but the author makes each one believable and a real, true part of the narrative so they fit in without any trouble and feel necessary in relationship to everyone else. All of the usual high school problems are complicated by the whirlwind paranormal aspect of their lives, much like in Michelle Madow's The E

The Chosen Knights is the first full book in The Angel Knights series but there is a novella, called The Angel Knights, that is highly suggested to be read first. It gives some background information into the parents of the main characters in The Chosen Knights as well as some historical information pertaining to the series itself. It is a short novella, only forty-four pages in length, so it can be read very quickly. This story is told from the perspective of Lucia and her voice is typical of a ...more

A fascinating YA urban fantasy, The Chosen Knights captured my attention from the very first page and left me wanting more.

The first full-length book in The Angel Knights series features the children of characters from another Mary Ting series, Crossroads Saga. I have not yet read that series, but I was able to follow along just fine so readers shouldn’t worry if they haven’t read it. Although, rea

I was given this book for my honest review.

This is a spinoff to the Crossroads Saga and can be read as a stand-alone

“I told you to keep it on at all times. What do I have to do to make you listen to me?” It was Eli’s voice. My heart galloped like Midnight racing for the finish line. Surely I was hallucinating, but how did my necklace move by itself? Was I delusional? As if he could read my mind, he spoke, It’s me, Lucia I’m here. I’m astral traveling, but I can’t hold on. What an extraordinary read this was!! I enjoyed turning each magical page from beginning to end.

The characters were phenomenal! I felt as if I could connect with them and feel every emotion that flowed off of each page.

The story-line was mystical and magical. There was so much that went on. I was completely enchanted by this story. Everything I thought was going to happen turned out wrong. I love how the author spun this web and rele

I was intrigued by the synopsis and the idea of the story. I liked that it was set in Hawaii. I thought the idea of the descendants of the Knights Templar being at risk and fighting for their lives.

In all honesty, I struggled with this book. I've looked at the 5-star reviews and am wondering what I missed. I enjoyed the descriptions and the set up. If you haven't read the first book in the series, Angel Knights, you could still read this book and understand what's happening. The mystery of the

Lucia and Zach are now on earth in Hawaii with their uncle Davin to solve the mystery behind why so many teenagers are going missing.

To do this Lucia and Zach must uproot leave their parents and world behind them and become high school students, mystery, love and action plays part to The Chosen Knights being a really good keep you hooked book.
Mary Ting is a new for me author and m so glad I have discovered her but now I'm left hanging until I can get my hands on book 2.
Erika (The Nocturnal Fey)
It could have been a lot better. Maybe I'd give this more stars if it's written in 3rd person POV which probably put more dynamic into perspective. Or maybe I'm just really not a fan of Lucia as the MC. She nearly made me pull all my hair out in frustration.

But other than my issues with the heroine, it's a pretty good and fast read. Lucia still has time to redeem herself.

I was excited to get my hands on this one, and even more excited that it didn't disappoint. Before reading this first book, it's highly recommendable to read The Angel Knights first. Although the author does give enough background to get the story going, it's easier to understand the characters and the situation after reading the novella.

Lucia and Zach are sent on a mission with their uncle to scope out supernaturals. As angels, they're hoping to find a way to stop the threat of a possible war w

The Chosen Knights is the first installment in author Mary Ting's The Angel Knights series. As you have read in my review of The Angel Knights above, this series features the Nephilim twins of Claudia Emerson and Michael who you may have read about in the author's Crossroads series. Things have changed. Lucia, Zachary, and Devin have moved to Hawaii to uncover why there seems to be such an imbalance of supe

I really loved catching up on this series. I remember that I liked the romance, and that still stands true. While this is not necessarily instalove, I feel that the relationship formed a little too quickly. Though I think this is because this book is a fast-paced read. I did enjoy the characters for the most part. Sometimes the dialogue felt forced and cheesy, but there were some hidden gems sprinkled throughout as wel

Ok, Mary Ting has done it again. A wonderful story of our wonderful Demon Hunting Angels!!! Although this book has a few twists that I did not expect, it only added to the wonderful book. This book moves very quickly and before you know it you will be done with it and wishing that you had the next one already. I will be going back to read some of Mary Tings earlier work just to get a fix on our half Angel/ half human Demon hunters.

The Angel Knights series follows the twin children, Zachary and Lucia, of Nephilim Michael and the not quite human Claudia, along with their loyal friend Davin from The Crossroads Saga. Zachary and Lucia along with their mentor “uncle” Davin are starting on an extended assignment on the island of Hawaii as Venators, demon hunters in response to the several teen disappearances and increased demon activity in that area.

Another one I wanted to like.

This book is the first one I've read in the series and from Mrs. Ting. The storyline looked promising and drew me in with its unique take on angels and demons. Unfortunately the sentience structure and the lack of grammar understanding took away any intrigue I may have had for this story. Sentences were constantly started with prepositional phrases, they were without verbs or were not positioned correctly to make the sentence make since. The descriptions of what they

This book grew on me as it went along. The idea of less than perfect angels doing their best to protect mankind was very appealing.I enjoyed the notion of demons who are not all bad too. But the main character Lucia is a bit annoying in so far as she doesnt learn a lesson and the reader finds it difficult to believe that she can be stupid at the expense of others again. A bit lame in places so only 3stars definitely not worth 5 but I will read book two.

One of her best work yet! The Crossroads Saga Spin off “The Chosen Knights” is incredible! All the plot twist and action you immerse yourself into to see Michael & Claudia’s children in action Oh my! She brings you The Knight Templar and different type of Demons. In this action spin off you get it all! If you like Angels, Demons, witches etc., then this book is for you. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!

I adored this book, I do so love Angel/Demon books. Good verses evil.

It wasn't to predictable, and I'm eager to read the next book after the cliff hanger ending that leaves one thirsty for more.

The characters were likably, it was fast flowing with a few intense moments and some action scenes.

A must read for lovers of YA paranormal fantasy.

Super quick and entertaining read~!
I adored the characters and how Mary Ting combined the world of the supernatural and high school together. It was an adventure. There were moments when I felt annoyed at the main character, Lucia, but it would easily clear up when she explained how she felt. Overall, it was fun. :)
