Its no secret that I am a huge fan of Sara Jane Stone’s books, I have pretty much devoured everything that I can lay my hands on by her in the last year or so, and Stirring Attraction continues my high quality reading run with this authors work.

Stirring Attraction was a heartwarming second chance love story.

I really enjoyed Dominic and Lily's story. They were two good people who loved each other deeply but life had other plans for them.
After Dom is injured while deployed he feels less than and doesn't think he can be the man Lily deserves. He stays away from his family, friends and Lily, thinking they'll be better off without him.
Lily is left heartbroken, she knows her heart will always belong to one man but she can't stop livin
Stirring Attraction is the second book in the Second Shot series and while I didn't love it as much as the first book I still loved reading about Dominic and Lily.

Stone starts off this story before Dominic goes off and becomes an army ranger which I just loved. Seeing Lily and Dominic before they fell apart helped me really see how much these two loved one another. They were together on and off over the years and Lily always thought he would come back home to her but after his career ended Domi
I honestly wasn't that impressed with this story. I found Dominic and Lily rather annoying overall, and the only thing that was saving this story was the suspense plot, which wrapped up entirely too quickly! The book overall felt short and gave me the impression that it wasn't that important in the overall storyline. The shortness of the book wound up hindering the developments of some plot points as well for me. All things considered, this was not one of the better installments.

What a great introduction to Sara Jane Stone's writing!

This is a story about second chances. Dominic and Lily were high school sweethearts. He left to join the Army. he wanted to be the best he could be and told Lily he'd come back for her. He came back several times, always leaving again with out her. After taking a bullet that left him without his Army career, he felt he wasn't good enough for Lily and chose to stay away from her.

Excellent! This is Dom's story and you don't want to miss it. Dominic left for the army leaving behind Lily Greene. He was determined to be the best he could be and hopefully make the Rangers. He also planned to one day come back for Lily and marry her. Six years later he had made the rangers but now he was injured with no hope of being able to rejoin his team. Still he didn't return for Lily. Tired of waiting for Dom, Lily has decided to move on. Then she was brutally attacked and try as she mi ...more

After a madman attacks her while she's out running, Lily Greene has been so afraid she's barely keeping it together. Her friends have helped take her mind off things, but it isn't until her ex-boyfriend, Dominic, comes back to town that she starts to feel at least a little bit safe, especially when he's decided to act as her bodyguard and try to discover the person responsible for her attack.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.

Dominic Fairmore has been in love with Lily Greene since high school and he doesn't want to leave her but he must leave to prove himself. Leaving Forever Oregon to become an Army Ranger would be the kind of man Lily would be proud to marry. After getting shot and almost losing his life, he hasn't returned to Forever for very long because he doesn't like the way everyone looks at him with pity in their e

Another heart stealing, tear causing, steamy read. When I finished this one I was compelled to tell the author just how I feel. I'm not able to express in words the way she is. Please believe me you will love this story. Dominic, hot high school football with only one love, Lily. He had a plan and a need to be a hero, an Army Ranger, and come back to her.

Lilly is the best of the best. Kindergarten teacher, mother's caregiver and so much more. But they did have that love in common. She loved him

You can always count on Sara Jane Stone to write a sexy and emotional romance that grabs your heart from the first page. You can tell from the prologue that Dominic and Lily belong together. This sizzling couple were made for each other. In love since they were teens, they had big plans and dreams for their future.

I was very glad to have an opportunity to review the second book in this series.

The book begins with Lily being attacked while jogging and then a friend basically hijacking Dom to get him to return home. He's mad at himself for ignoring all the phone calls from home, the ones where his family and friends were trying to tell him about Lily.

Dom has fled his pity party in Georgia to be whatever Lily needs - bodyguard, protecto

I'm a romantic person and love reading new angles on love. I also like the humor in the stories. Plus the suspense in them keeps your mind sharp. Stirring Attraction has all of these in it plus more.

The "I'm not good enough" story is getting old. Why does anyone think they get to make that decision for someone else?? I liked Dominic and Lily -- some parts of the story were a bit contrived-- a cop/military man is willing to accept that the villain was caught without verification?! And secrets -- ugh -- just tell the other person how you feel. Overall, worth the read.

Can we start off by pointing out how yummy that cover model is? I don't know if he's tall, but dark and handsome, anyone? It's my weakness. Anywho...I am a faithful stalker of Sara Jane Stone's books and after reading Noah and Josie's book, Serving Trouble , I was very much looking forward to Dominic's HEA. I felt so strong for him at the end of the first book, that I was chomping at the bit to read his.

We get a taste of what Dominic and Lily's relationship was like before he shipped off to the

Teacher Lily Greene thought her life was on the right track, that is until the man that she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with walked away, and left her to pick up the pieces of her shattered world and find a way to move on without him. Their plan was he would go off to the military accomplish his dreams and then return home to her and they would start their life together, but after he is wounded, his life plan takes a different turn, one that has him thinking Lily is far better off ...more
I must say, Sara Jane Stone is a brand new author for me and what a delight it was to find her. Stirring Attraction is the second book in her Second Shot Series but you don’t need to read the first book to read this one….it stands on its own just wonderfully. Dominic is our hero and he is probably the most stubborn and hard-headed man I’ve read about in quite a while. He’s suffered a career-ending injury and is having himself a nice, big pity party for one! He has left behind the love of

Stirring Attraction is a quick easy reading second chance romance that can be read as a standalone.

Dominic has always wanted to be the best man he could possibly be in order to give Lily the life she deserves, but he had to escape their small town of Forever, Oregon and enlist in the Army in order to have a chance to do that. Six years later, he never expected a terrorist bullet ripping through his hand to destroy his future as an elite Army Ranger and to rip his identity away in t

As I was reading this book, I started to picture how couples actually feel as their love ones leave to go to training, or are deployed. Its heartbreaking to say the least. When you are hoping and wishing they are coming back, but you want your forever with them. Stirring Attraction is the second book in the Second Shot series by Sara Jane Stone. Each book is a standalone story, so you do not need to read these in order to understand them. Heartbreakingly beautiful, touching story about soul mates, loyalty, trust, love, brokenness and fear, redemption.
Dominic and Lily have always loved each other, it just hasn't always been enough, to hold them together. Now back in his hometown, Dominic is trying to protect her from her attacker, but still holds her on the arm's length, and not let her back in his life, in his arms, and in his heart.
Lily's heart has been broken so many times, every time Dominic kissed her goodbye. And now she sh

I liked the second book in the Second Shot series, but not quite as much as I liked the first one ( Serving Trouble ).

I loved the first 50% or so of this book--second chance romance! Hero is an Army Ranger! Heroine teaches kindergarten!--and the ending was fantastic. Every time the hero and heroine broke something while having...(ahem) an intimate moment ;) made me giggle. (Though I'm really glad I wasn't there in person to hear it, because awkward.) I liked both Dominic and Lily, though at time

Stirring Attraction is the second book in Second Shot series but can be read as a standalone. It was a quick read and my only issue was it is written in third person so that can take a little getting used too.

Stirring Attraction is the story of Lily and Dominic. Lily is a home town girl with roots in Forever, Oregon. She is fun and feisty until an attack leaves her afraid to live her life. The contrast between

“Dominic reached behind his head and tugged on his T-shirt. The rising fabric revealed his abdomen. And yeah, he liked the way her gaze followed the hemline. But his arm stilled, his bicep taut and his T-shirt covering his hair. If he kept going, she’d see the damaged skin on his chest from where the bullet had entered.

“Are you sure about this?” he asked. “My scars aren’t pretty.”

“I promise to focus on your abs,” she murmured without looking up. “And lower.”
