Thoroughly enjoyed this book given to my hubby by the author. Great job on your first book G.A. Minton. Although, some parts are terrifying, the main character, Joshua, is a beautiful boy with a beautiful heart, and all the supporting characters make this a well rounded story. Just when you think Joshua couldn't possibly be guilty, the author keeps you in suspense, and when all the pieces are revealed, you have to admit you never saw it coming. Had to stay up to finish it as it kept me at the ed ...more

I won this on good reads.
For some reason I’m having problems writing this review. The problem is totally with me, not with the book. I absolutely loved this book and everything about it. G.A. Milton created a well-rounded small town full of the usual characters one would find in any small town USA. Little do they realize they are soon to be at ground zero for a series of bizarre events. The characters are believable and comfortable. The events are mind bending but flow logically through each twi

Trisomy XXI by G.A. Minton tells the story of a human, Joshua Allen, born with Down Syndrome or more scientifically known as Trisomy XXI and his experiences in school, at home, and with his friend. In an almost 1950's science fiction thriller style, Joshua is saved after a horrible accident and after near death, miraculously recovers and is a better Joshua, no longer with Down Syndrome. After good and bad aliens, the good alien world needs Trisomy XXI to save a dying population. The science fict ...more

This 266 page book is filled with humor, sadness, mystery, and interesting twists in every chapter. Meet Henry the drunk who lives in a small town of Tranquil. The town's name has special significance in the story. Henry believes that he was abducted by a space alien monstrosity. Joshua is a 16 year old coping with special needs. Joshua's father is a preacher who spread the gospel and believes he can expel demons. Joshua's mother died in childbirth hence he was raised by a single parent. Put all ...more

I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I have to say: TRISOMY XXI has cover art that sucked me in like a moth to a flame. It is exactly the type of imagery that draws me to cheesy horror flicks and B-grade comics. Unfortunately, the book itself is not nearly as good as its artwork. I found myself vastly disappointed with the story and its conclusion, and although it has potential, the execution lacks quite a bit. The resulting read is not one I can recommend.

From his early childhood, G.A. Minton has always been a diehard fan of science fiction and horror.
