Fifteen years ago, Garrett Monson’s parents drove off a cliff to their deaths. The police said it was an accident, but Garrett’s always been suspicious. He’s positive something sinister happened that night, but no matter how hard the self-made loner searches for the truth, he can’t seem to find it.

He knows he’s close. He knows his every move is being watched. Stuck and out of options, he does the only thing he can think of - he turns to a private investigator.

Ellie Velasquez is the last person Garrett expects. Instead of a cranky old man, she’s a curvy, determined firecracker, and Garrett finds himself irresistibly drawn to her.

Even though she usually spends her days working divorce cases or searching for lost dogs, when this handsome, mysterious stranger shows up at her door she can’t say no. Not to his quiet, rugged sex appeal or those dimples.

When the case gets dangerous and Garrett and Ellie have to go on the run, can their blossoming love survive the onslaught of evil forces, deeply held family secrets, and an insane billionaire who wants the secrets of shifting for himself?

Or will these star-crossed lovers be torn apart before their romance begins?

PROTECTOR is the action-packed, steam-filled final book in the Copper Mesa Eagles trilogy!

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!

The cover is another beauty! Love it!

This is the 3rd book in the trilogy, and I think the best book yet. This series is for adults only due to the steamy scenes. I recommend reading them in order, so you know the back stories.

I love Ellie’s spirit! Garrett was the enigma in the first 2 books, so it was interesting to read his story. This story has lots of action and history. Great story!

I recommend this series to all the shifter lovers who love birds of prey!

I was so excited about this last book in this standalone series. We finally get to meet Garrett. If you have read the other books you know that he is there but not much more.

Garrett is looking into his parent's death and needs help. So he hires Elliot (Elli). And when these two meet you can feel the heat fly off your readers.

I loved this story.

Roxie Noir has knocked another series out of the ball park. I am glad she teamed up with Amelia Hunt for this series about golden eagle shifters. They were like a breath of fresh air, something new in the shifter world. (Am still partial to my bears though). She took the last brother and his mate and made a story line that took the series out with a bang!!!! This story gives you danger, intrigue, mystery, shifters, romance, police cover ups and SEX. With all of those elements in a book you know it has to be good. A recommended book to all mature readers over 18 years old. Roxie never lets you down!!!!

Garrett Monson is the brother in between Seth and Zach Monson. Garrett left home about 8 years ago going on a two week trip but never returned home. He only sent post cards from time to time to let the brothers know he was still alive. 15 years ago Garrett's parents drove off a cliff on a road they knew like the back of their hands. Garrett never believed the story the police gave because his parents knew that road to well, so he has always been suspicious. He knows that terrible things happened that night, and he is bound and determined to get to the bottom of it. No matter how hard the self-made loner searches for the truth, he knows he’s close, because he feels as though he is being watched. Since he feels as though he has done all he can do, he turns to a private investigator.

Elliott (Ellie) Velasquez is the private investigator that Garrett decides to hire to help him solve the mystery surrounding his parents death. Ellie usually found herself working on divorces or something that didn't bring in much money, but she had bills to pay. She is feisty, curvy and doesn't let people run over her. She is on the phone when Garrett walks into her office expecting a cranky old man, and she has to tell herself constantly she can't get involved with the clients. It is bad for business. She finds that this man is rugged with gorgeous dimples and she can't say no to him. Garrett finds himself in a similar situation because he is irresistibly drawn to her.

Garrett and Ellie start getting close to the truth and things start to get dangerous so they have to go on the run. Will Ellie be able to accept the secret of Garrett's family? Will Ellie and Garrett be able to save their blossoming love with a insane billionaire chasing them who wants the secrets of shifting for himself?

No Spoilers. A Must Read!!!! ARC free book given for a honest revie

I won’t let anything happen to you 5 GOLD FEATHERS

HOLY FEATHERS EAGLEMAN! What a truly FEATHERTACULAR story! Turns out Roxie saved the best for last! And that's saying A LOT since I loved both Seth's & Zach's stories! Garrett turned out to be waaaay different than I expected, all in the best ways, of course! For some reason I was expecting some slob of a geek wearing a tinfoil hat, because really, we had nothing to go on from the two prior stories except postcards. I won’t go into detail too much, just to say that he turned out to be the brother I loved the most, his adventure was the most nerve wracking and I oh so loved Ellie! What an helluva send-off to this EAGLERRIFIC series!!! I had my heart broken a couple of times, and cried a few times too. But I also giggled, snorted, laughed and all out belly laughed too! And I LOVE that Seth & Jules were in this one too!! And the ending?! WHOA BABY! What an EAGLETASTIC ending to one SHIFTACULAR series! I wish with all my wishing powers that this series wasn't over, but I guess it's true when they say that all good things must come to an end. sigh But MAN! Roxie sure knows how to write them! Regardless the plot, the characters, the heat level, whether its first in a series or the last, stand-alone, short or long, or how many times I have read it, I thoroughly enjoy and fall in love with each & every single book of hers! Roxie is one phenomenally talented author with this amazing gift for creating stories that grab me right from the start and keeps me thinking of it well past the end! Her characters are ones that I love to read about, I love living their adventures both with them and as them, and characters I wish were real so that we could be friends forever! Roxie has very quickly become one of my favorite authors!! In fact, before I was even halfway through the first book of hers that I ever read - A Bear's Protection - I knew I had found one helluva ROXIETACULAR author whose books I was going to enjoy reading time & time again, for many, many years to come!! However, I never could have predicted just how much I would LOVE each and every single book of hers, as well as Roxie herself! Following her newsletter and social media pages, it is pretty cool to get some insight into what goes into making these books I love so much!

Garrett and Ellie are running head long into to love. Garrett has always been suspicious of his parents demise. The accident never seem to sit right in his mind and he is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. When he hires himself a PI to look ok in to matter he expects the old cliche but what he gets is nothing of the sort. Ellie Velasquez is smart, sassy and sexy. She draws him in and makes him yearn. But bringing her in on this shakes some angry birds from the bush and send these two on the run. While they run for their lives they just might find some answers and love along the way.

I love the way this comes full circle. Garrett hires Ellie, who is a private detective, to look into his parents death, never quite believing it was accidental.
Garrett is the third Monson brother, and the one that has been gone for almost ten years. He has his reasons for being gone for so long. The entire time he's been gone he's been looking into the crash that killed his parents. When he can get no further on his own he hires Ellie.
When Garrett meets Ellie he jokingly says, "I bring trouble" but Ellie didn't exactly expect what she got. People breaking into her office and having to go on the run with Garrett seems a bit excessive. She can't deny the feeling she has for him though.

Going on the run has its perks. Garrett makes his way home after being gone for so many years. Ellie helps him put some old ghosts to rest, while also getting the shock of her lifetime. Although it's a pretty big shock to Garrett. A funny one though. Sometimes mixing business with pleasure works out for the best. I really love the way this book wrapped everything up with a neat, action packed, sexy little bow. Kudos to the author.

Protector, book three in the Copper Mesa Eagles series by Roxie Noir.
Garrett Monson has been searching for the missing pieces to what happened to his parents for years now, but when he hits a dead end, he turns to a private investigator named Elliot Velasquez for help. Of course, the curvy beauty name Ellie Velasquez is the last person he expects when he goes to his appointment, but when he finds himself drawn to her, he can’t pull himself away from her. When they start to dig a little deeper, they find themselves on the wrong end of some shady characters. When Garrett and Ellie are forced into fleeing the city, will Ellie be able to put aside the blossoming feelings for Garrett and finish the job? Or will Garrett’s secret come out, pushing Ellie away for good?

Protector
Copper Mesa Eagles Book 3
by Roxie Noir (Author), Amelie Hunt (Author)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am so excited about this book 3 in this series. I really enjoy reading Roxie and Amelia books. But I absolutely love shifter romance if you give me one of their books I will ignore everything until I finish the book and for some reason when I really enjoy a book I can't help but read it twice and I read Copper Mesa Eagle series again I couldn't help myself. The storyline is Fantastic and compelling. The characters are witty and lovable. This reads as a standalone but it's a part of a series. You don't have to read the other two books but if you are like me and love reading shifter romance, you will want to read the other books in this series so you can understand some of the background or you may just want to read them because like me you love reading shifter romance especially if they are written by these two ladies. But remember it's not necessary to read them, but I can tell you that you are missing some Fantastic reads. Because Roxie and Amelia are two very creative and talented ladies. I really enjoy their writing.

Garrett Monson has two brothers one older and one younger, he is the middle son. He hasn't seen or talked to his brothers in a long while. Garrett had to leave his brothers so he could find the answers to his questions about why his parents died in a car crash when he was fifteen. Their deaths was ruled a car accident. But Garrett thinks they were murdered. He decides he needs help so he hires a private investigator to see if he can get more answers. But the investigator he choose isn't a man as he thought but a woman and it gets more complicated because Garrett is instantly attracted to her.

Elliott Velasquez known as Ellie is a PI. Her mother is a music teacher and her father is a sheriff. Ellie loves her job, everything that is but divorce cases because the adrenaline she gets. But today a guy walks in her office and tells her he is bringing her trouble. Garrett, She doesn't know if she should believe him or not, but not long after Garrett left a women comes in and ask her to work on a divorce case and the strange thing is the man looks just like Garrett if this is his name, she is no longer sure. But she must say as of this moment Garrett’s case is the most interesting case she has right now and there is something about Garrett that is drawing her to him.

This is a SPECTACULAR Read! This is Ellie and Garrett story they are witty, funny and scorching HOT. It will give you a feeling of happiness and If you love shifter romance this is definitely a fabulous choice for your TBR list.

If you believe in the world of shifters the possibilities are endless and fascinating.
I highly recommend this book!

PROTECTOR-Copper Mesa Eagles-Book 3-SUSPENSEFUL & SIZZLING ROMANCE.

This story focuses on; ELLIOTT (ELLIE), a curvy, audacious, independent, ebony-haired beauty, and a private investigator; GARRETT, a heart-stirring gorgeous, charismatic, wealthy powerful eagle shifter.

What you'll find in this story; a cast of impressive and engaging characters, phenomenal banter, fabulous story-line, picturesque and dynamic scene descriptions, pent-up rage, emotions spiral, gripping suspense, abduction, action, life threatening incidents, mystery, spine-chilling danger, action, earth shattering passionate romance, and a melt your heart conclusion.

Garrett believes his parents were murdered sixteen years ago, and has been searching for answers to a crime he thinks the police covered up. He hires Ellie to help him find evidence to prove that they were murdered. When her office gets ransacked by unknown criminals who leave her a note to stay away from the Monson family she is compelled to do the opposite. Garrett and Ellie flee to Obsidian to see his brother Seth who he has not seen in years, and to learn if there are any people still alive to help them in their search for answers. Romantic feelings begin to flourish between the two. Garrett still has not shifted to his eagle form, believes he never will, and is keeping this secret about his family from Ellie. Horrific danger is closing in on them as they get closer to the answers they need...

FANTASTIC conclusion to a well written creative series by a truly gifted author. The author does not disappoint by keeping the reader hooked from start to finish with the intriguing plot and vivid scene descriptions. I loved the entertaining banter between Ellie and Garrett. The chemistry between them is more than convincing; their romance is blazing hot. If you treasure shifter romance this is an excellent book for your library. {I was gifted a copy of this book, and this is my completely honest review}. In the world of shifter romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations I recommend this book and the series.

Time for the last Eagle shifting brother to get his wings...and his mate!!!

Garrett is the middle, elusive brother in the Monson family. He was desperate to get out of Obsidian and left on a short road trip but never returned. He made his way in the world and is now self sufficient but he's rootless. He floats from town to town, flying under the radar. But when he finally amasses enough information he seeks out a PI. He knows something fishy happened with his parents but he needs help piecing it together.

Elliott (Ellie) Velasquez is a PI and daughter of the local police Chief. Her agency is finally making money bit not a vast amount. She needs something to get her teeth stuck into and less divorce cases! But when she is drawn to her latest client, she keeps telling herself "hands off". She really wishes that he was less gorgeous, charming and downright mysterious!

Garrett and Ellie are a great mix! When they go on the run and start to piece together what happened to his parents, things really heat up! Their attraction grows just as the danger ramps up. I loved that the mystery of the boys parents death was resolved and that the boys finally made it back to each other. The reunion was a typically male affair LOL! Ellis is sexy, sassy and tenacious and Garrett charming, unassuming and just a little paranoid! I'm sad to see the eagle shifters series end but what a way to go!

Protector is the third book in the Copper Mesa Eagles series. It is Garrett's story. He is the middle brother of the Monson boys. It is a stand-alone book that connects with other books in the series through some shared characters and has an HEA with no cliffhangers. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I found this to be a very humorous book and would recomment it to anyone who enjoys a laugh. It's not necessary to read the other two books in this series first or even at all but I would definitely recommend doing that. I would also recommend this book to fans of paranormal series, especially ones interested in shifter romances.

Synopsis:

Garrett Monson has always been convinced that there was more to his parents death than what was reported by the police. He's been investigating their death on his own for years but hasn't gotten too far so he's finally decided to get some professional help. His digging into the past has stirred up some old enemies who would rather is stayed buried.

Ellie Velasquez is a private investigator. Garrett hires her to find out the truth of the circumstances of his parents deaths. She takes the case and soon finds her business and her life in danger. Now she and Garrett are on the run and the only way to save their future may be to find out what happened in the past.

Pariah is the third and final book in the Copper Mesa Eagles series. Garrett knows that his parents’ deaths were not an accident, but doesn’t know how to prove it. He goes to see Elliott, a private investigator, for help, but is surprised to find not only that Ellie is a woman, but that she calls to something deep inside him. Soon Garrett and Ellie are involved with something much bigger than they were expecting, finally traveling back to his hometown, and on the right trail. But when Ellie is taken, will Garrett be able to save her and his secret, or is it all just a trap for Garrett?

I absolutely loved how this series ended and I loved Garrett’s story! I’ve been super curious about Garrett from the first book, and I loved how all of the drama of his brothers caught up with him, too! Ellie was amazing! She was resourceful, not one to really panic, and definitely had some fire in her attitude, especially when she was threatened. Garrett followed his gut, was a little introverted, but I really loved his vulnerable side when it came to his family and to Ellie. I loved that there was one big bad guy behind everything that happened to Garrett and his family, and I loved how he was portrayed at the end. The connection between Ellie and Garrett felt real and strong and I loved their interactions with each other. I’m kind of sad to see that this was the last book in the series, but can’t wait to see what Ms. West will come up with next!

Garrett Monson is the middle son of three boys and has been looking for answers to why his parents died when he was just fifteen. The official report says it was a car accident. Garrett thinks it was murder. After exhausting all his resources, he decides to hire a private investigator to see if he can finally find some answers. This is where he meets Ellie.

Elliott (Ellie) Velasquez is a private investigator. She likes the adrenaline she gets when she works on a case. “Hands down, Garrett’s case was the most interesting thing going on right now, and hands extra-double-down, Garrett was the most interesting thing that had walked into her office... well, ever, in the five years since she’d set up shop.” (Direct quote)

Ellie and Garrett have similar personalities that work well together. Both are strong, funny and determined. They have good chemistry and when they get together, sparks fly.

This is the third book in this series and it is a standalone with a HEA. It might be a good idea to read the other books in this series just to get more background, but it is not necessary in order to understand what is going on here. I’m glad we got to find out what really happened to their parents all those years ago.

Protector is the third and finally book in Roxie Noir's Copper Mesa Eagles series. We finally get Garrett's story. In the first two books we learned that Seth and Zach brother Garrett left home as soon add he was old enough and that he traveled a lot. He also learned that he didn't come back to Obsidion for visits with his brothers not did he keep in touch except for the odd black postcard from different parts of the country.
In Protector, we learn that Garrett is looking into the death of their parents. He never believed it was just an accident. Garrett has also made a fortune with his own tech company. Garrett hires Ellie, a private investigator to help him find out what really happened to their parents more than 15 years ago.
Garrett knows about the family secret. He had known for years, since before his parents died. Garrett has never told anyone. He doesn't believe he has the secret ability that he now believes both his brother share with their deceased mother. He's starting to think the secret may have something to do with their deaths.
Protector answers a lot of the questions that the other books being out. It does a wonderful job of concluding the series. Roxie Noir's Protector is a great finally to the series.

Garrett hires PI Ellie to help him look in to his parents accident sixteen years earlier.
Garrett had been trying to find out about his parents accident sixteen years ago but he has found information limited so he hires a PI. Elliott Velasquez Private Investigator is not what he expects as she is a beautiful woman with long dark hair and tempting curves. He tells her what he is trying to find out and gives her a flash drive with what he has so far found on it. She will let him know if she finds anything. Later she phones him and arranges to see him early the next day. When he arrives a bit early the next day he spot glass scattered along the path to the office door and the office vandalized with the computer, flash drive and other bits missing. Ellie follows him in and at first think he had done it but she has a miniature camera hidden. They go to his place and she uses his computer to play back the video. She gets him to pack then head to her apartment so she can grab some for herself and they head off but have to shake off a tail and go the see if they cancan find the pre-computer era paper trail and any witnesses. A shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

Pariah is the final book in the Copper Mesa Eagles series and it's finally Garrett's turn for a book.

Garrett is the middle Monson brother and he hasn't actually shown up in the other books. He's always been that guy floating off somewhere in the world, occasionally sending his brothers postcards to let them know he's alive. And turns out, this whole time he's been investigating his parent's death. Throughout the series, there's been this simmering belief that something wasn't quite right about it all. So when Garrett hires a private investigator, Ellie, and shit starts to hit the fan, it's clear it wasn't quite a car accident.
Together Ellie and Garrett begin investigating their death, all the while Ellie has no idea why exactly Garrett's parents were targeted. Garrett knows because it turns out he's known about shifting for a long time. He just doesn't know why he can't turn. Until he does which is just the most hilarious thing in the world.
These two together are awesome and Pariah wraps up the series awesomely. It answers so many questions from way back in the first book and brings all the storylines together.
Pariah was incredible and I absolutely adored it.

I really enjoyed reading this book, a little bit of paranormal with a lot of suspense, humor and love as well as family belonging and protecting each other.

The two main characters are Garrett, the son of a couple who died in a terrible crash some years earlier and who sets out to hire a PI. Ellie is the private investigator and a knockout; "She had long black hair pulled into a bun, skin the colour of dulce de leche, and deep brown eyes that gave him a long searching look, taking Garrett in from head to toe."

"I know you well enough to know that trouble is like catnip to you," e siad. "The second you saw that note you were out for blood."

"Kiss me, she thought. Her whole body belt like a guitar string, taut and vibrating. Just kiss me."

"Small, dark rooms seemed like a recipe for trouble between the two of them, or at least a recipe for not getting very much done."

I laughed along with these characters, especially when Garrett first turns and how Ellie responds to it. Loved the ending, it was perfect and this author writes wonderful stories that are a pleasure to read and also a joy to review.

that last of the brothers, the end of this saga. 15 years ago their parents were killed in a car crash but garret never believed it was just an accident. years of looking and searching has not brought information. as a last resort he turns to a PI. he expected to find an old man with a belly, not a young beautiful woman that had his heart pumping blood to regions he would prefer to keep a low profile for the time being.
when hiring her starts a string of events he knows he's getting close to the truth. but the attraction he feels for the PI just grows and when they're returned sparks fly all over the place.
with danger catching up to them as they find out more of what really happened there is a big question of their budding romance having a chance to survive, if they survive themselves first that is!!

what an ending for the brothers!!! i can't say much more then i was a sad puppy when i mentally saw the words "the end" moving across the page. i can only secretly hope roxie will find some handsome family members to add a book or two (maybe male and female twins from a third cousin twice removed!)

Genre: Romance - suspense, paranormal, shifter (Eagle)
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series; Yes book 3 of 3 in the Copper Mesa Eagles series. Each book features a different brother
POV: Garrett, Ellie
Steam Level: Warm
5/5

We finally get to meet Garrett - the mystery middle brother! Each Copper Mesa Eagles is a standalone. However, if you've read either Seth's or Zach's book, you've heard about him. Although three are standalone, if you've read the series you get glimpses of earlier couples, since each book takes place approximately two years after the previous. The stories are so much fun. Garrett is looking into their parents' death and hires Elliot (aka Ellie). The mystery explodes from there and tensions rise - both the slow burn between Ellie and Garrett and details uncovered. Like the road, this book twists and turns with winding switchbacks that can push you over the edge. Pariah is a great romantic suspense that is sexy, funny and takes you on a journey that leaves you breathless.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Copper Mesa Eagles series. In this book, Garrett, the middle brother, has decided to hire a private investigator to help solve his parent's murder years earlier. Garrett goes to see Ellie and decides to hire her for help. Ellie is attracted to Garrett, but she will not act on her feelings because he is a client. The next day, a woman comes to Ellie to hire her to watch "her cheating husband" and get information on him, only the picture she gives Ellie is of Garrett. When Ellie's office is broken into, Garrett and Ellie know they are close to learning what happened to his parents. Garrett wants to protect Ellie and he wants to be with her, but she tells him no until the case is solved. When they have to flee, they head back to Obsidian and sees Seth. They continue to investigate the cover up of his parent's crash and soon learn the truth and who was behind it and why. I really liked this series. I love how Garrett and Ellie both knew there was something between them. I think Garrett was scared to go home because he was scared whoever wash behind his parent's deaths would hurt his brother also. Great series.

Conclusion to this unique Shifter series with mystery, intrigue and passion!!

We get the story of Garrett – the third brother who left Obsidian after his parent’s death and hasn’t been back for 10 years. Garrett in investigating the death of his parents, and hires private investigator Elliott which to his surprise goes by “Ellie”. Garrett gives her all his info except the fact that his parents and brothers can turn into Eagles.

As the investigation heats up, they believe they must be getting “close” as someone is trying to stop them. Was there a cover-up on the cause of his parent’s death? Can they solve it 16 years later, and before someone gets hurt? Will Garrett and Ellie ignore the no messing around with the client rule? Will his brothers turn away in anger if he returns “home”?

Roxie consistently creates fascinating sparks between her well-developed characters, and here she adds in an extra mystery and a satisfying conclusion to a fun series!

Garrett has been searching for the truth behind his parent’s murder for years, just when he thinks he is close to solving it, he finds himself in a bind. He thinks that he is being stalked or watched and needs help. He turns to Ellie, an investigator who is everything he didn’t know he wanted or needed.

Garrett has been mentioned in the previous stories and I was interested to read his book. He is almost obsessed with finding the truth and in the process finds his forever. I loved Ellie and found her to be a fun character. She was bold and determined and stood up to Garrett when she needed to.

This story is filled with action and passion in the perfect balance. I loved how this author wrote the story where the reader is both involved in it and rooting for the romantic ending. I loved the shifter culture and how it both followed traditional line and different to be unique. This was a great ending to these standalone shifter stories and I found myself feeling bittersweet. I will be reading these again in the future.

Conclusion to this unique Shifter series with mystery, intrigue and passion!!

We get the story of Garrett – the third brother who left Obsidian after his parent’s death and hasn’t been back for 10 years. Garrett is investigating the death of his parents, and hires private investigator Elliott which to his surprise goes by “Ellie”.

Ms. West consistently creates fascinating sparks between her well-developed characters, and here she adds in an extra mystery and a satisfying conclusion to a fun series!

Garrett is the last Monson brother and has been absent for years. Even though the official report says his parent’s death was due to a car accident, he thinks it was murder and has spent the last 15 years searching for the truth. During his search, Garrett attracted some unwanted attention and decides he needs some help uncovering the truth. This leads to his hiring a private investigator to see if he can finally find some answers. Imagine his surprise when Elliott (Ellie) Velasquez turns out to be a hot lady. After meeting Garrett, it doesn't take Ellie very long to realize something isn't right.

While Ellie and Garrett have similar personalities and work well together, it was fun watching them fight their attraction to each other and try to keep things professional. Buy the book and get sucked into a fun paranormal story with romance, suspense and a little bit of mystery thrown in. It might be a good idea to read the other books in this series just to get more background, but it is not necessary.

I received an ARC of this and this is my freely given review

This is the final installment of the Copper Mesa Eagles series and it was explosive! This had me on the edge. I needed to know if Garrett could solve the 15 year mystery surrounding his parents untimely death. So he hires a PI named Ellie. Between the two of them, can they really find out what happened to his parents?

Things start getting heated as Garrett and Ellie near the truth and someone is determined for him not to find out the truth. All the clues lead right back to Obsidian. The place he escaped years before.

I truly loved this series. There's not a whole lot of shifting but that was fine by me. I loved how Garrett and Ellie worked. I was dying to read Garrett's story. I wanted to know why he ledt his brothers behind and never really look back.

There's not really a whole amount of info on Ellie but I found that I didn't really mind. I just wanted answers as much as Garrett did. I was left with some questions though. Like what happened to "rhinestone cowgirl" and what happened to the bad guy at the end!? But other than that, I loved it!

This is the final book in the Copper Mesa Eagles trilogy, featuring Garrett, the brother whose been absent for the past 2 books, only sending his brothers postcards to let them know he's still alive. He teams up with private investigator Ellie to confirm his suspicion of foul play in his parents' death.

While the plot built on past books of the brothers' parents' demise and their discovery about shifting, and was exciting, I enjoyed the chemistry between the couple in this one more. Ellie is the perfect match to Garrett when most people would've thought he was insane. Their banter is hot and funny, and I enjoyed the awkward moments when they arrive at the old family homestead.

As a trilogy conclusion, I felt things toward the end were far too packed-in and rushed. I would've like more explanation on certain shady characters (like, who was the "cowgirl" really? Just hired help?). This could definitely have stretched out to a full-length novel, and I would've stayed interested the whole way through.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is my favorite of the three books of the Copper Mesa Eagles series and has to be one of the funnies too, Has heat, romance with humor what is better than that.

We FINALLY get to meet Garrett the middle brother in this family. The brother who took off and never came back home. The one who made it big yet no one has seen him in 10 years. He has always thought that his parents were murdered and now he is actively looking into it and needs help. He hires a Private I and he turns out to be a SHE. OH man does she turn out to be a SHE.

This book is funny in so many ways... It had me chuckling and also it had lots of heat and mystery as well. If you have not read books one of two Roxie Noir is great about making each book so that you can read it as a stand alone BUT if you read the other books in the series you will enjoy them so much more. I highly recommend this book. I was gifted this book for a honest review and my advise is to grab it and read it.

Garrett is a man on a mission - to find out who killed his parents. However in doing this, he has attracted some unwanted attention. He has been on his own for too long and decides he might need some help in uncovering the truth.

Ellie is a private investigator who Garrett turns too. It doesn't take long for her realize something isn't right and also just how good looking Garrett is.

Watching these two try and fight their attraction was fun to read about. Ellie was trying SO hard to keep them professional but Garrett wasn't making it easy on her. It was really interesting to see the two of them work together and figure things out.

I will admit out of the three books in this series, this was my least favorite. Not because of the story or couple, but I felt like the ending came very quickly. For three books we have been trying to figure out the riddle of their parents and it just seemed like it was wrapped up a little too quickly.
