This was an exciting thriller dealing with the US attempt to broker a Middle East peace and then deal with those who will do anything to stop the peace process. Our hero, Jack Emery, is a likeable protagonist, and we want him to succeed. The plot is far-fetched, but still within the bounds of plausibility. What is not reasonable, however, is that Jack, an Australian, has become best friends with the American President and becomes the President's emissary in dealing with other heads of state - sure, it makes the novel work, but it would never happen in real life! I enjoyed reading this book and it taught me some new things about Palestine and Israel, even if the wild and crazy plot was way over the top. I would read more by this author.
