Dillon Carter's boyfriend, Marc Francis, is a paid assassin. That little fact makes having a normal relationship very complicated. Especially when there are people out there in the big bad spy world who hate Marc so much the last thing they want is him to end up happy.

Obsessive enemies, ex-lovers and poisoned espresso do nothing to make Marc and Dillon's trip to Italy rela

‘Assassins Love People Too’ is the sequel to ‘Assassins Are People Too’, and you really should read that book first. It will not only give you the details and character history you need to understand what is going on in this book, but it is also hilariously funny and very suspenseful. In fact I thought it was a hard act to follow, but am happy to report that I think the sequel is even better. There is a little less humor and more suspense as Dillon and Marc’s lives come under threat, but there i ...more

Very enjoyeable, fast paced, but sometimes Dillon's insecurity drove me nuts. I'd certainly read Ronin's book if it became available.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Mark and Dillon are on the move, trying to avoid Mark's enemies and stay alive. This leads them to staying with Ronin, a colleague Mark's as well as his former lover. Mark and Ronin decide to take the fight to the bad guys.

For a short story this had a good helping of angst. Mark's inability to share his feelings allows Dillon's insecurities to fester and the addition of Ronin into the mix doesn't help. This story also has so

For me, this one suffered the curse of Book 2. It happens every time with me. Book 1 is so incredible that I'm giddy and barely able to vocalise what I loved about the story. Then Book 2 comes along and

This was my first book by SC Wynne and I really enjoyed the story. I wasn't too far in before I realized I was missing some vital information. So, after doing a little research I found out Assassins Love People Too is book two in the Assassins Love series. I read a few reviews for book one to kind of help me get up to speed but I definitely want to go back and read it for myself.

Even coming in at a disadvantage I was still able to follow along easily and understand what was going on. The author

So this book picks up with Dillon living in France with his assassin lover who hasn't quite quit his job yet. He gets an urgent call to get to Paris by train and trust no one. Of course innocent Dillon chats with the old lady next to him, not good. After she tries to kill them, they head to Italy to Marc's ex's house. This leads to some tension needless to say, but the two assassins decide to head off and put an end to the criminal wanting to kill Marc and leave Dillon to hang out with an old tr ...more

All the happiness! I love the suspense these books give me. Dillon and Marc are so entertaining together. Marc with his inept social graces and relationship experience and Dillion with his insecurities and inability to read Marc all that well. These two LITERALLY need to communicate to get what the other one is trying to convey.
In the first book it ended on a cliffhanger and we all wanted to throw our Kindles, and cry! Well, there’s a bit of a cliffhanger on this one as well… butttttttttt it’s

When is the third book coming out?! Argh, that ending! I loved reading about the continued story for Marc and Dillon, lots of action and fast-paced plot in this one. I really liked them struggling to define their relationship and find balance with each other.

I'll definitely be on the lookout for the next book!

. I loved the first book so much and was hoping that the second could live up to the incredible action and developing love story introduced in the first book and I must say this one did not disappoint. We follow Marc and Dillon, now in Europe, some six weeks into their dash and hide existence trying to escape the deadly interest of Julio, a very bad man who Marc seems to take delight in thwarting. While Julio pulls out one henchman after another trying to kill both Dillon and Marc, the two of th ...more

The last book ended on a wicked little cliffhanger so I was looking forward to getting this one. Just like the first one it was suspenseful and sexy. This novella was also pretty angsty. In book one the guys fall hard and leave everything behind to take their chance at being together. Book two is them on the run from Julio, the baddie from book one who wants Marc dead.

I liked all of the inner turmoil from the POVs of both MCs. Dillon is under

The deadly game of hide and seek continues for Dillon Carter and Marc Francis. Unfortunately, love for Dillon has distracted Marc from performing the basic assassin rules.

Assassins Love People Too is the second book in the Assassins in Love series. In the first book, Assassins are People Too, Marc is attracted to his neighbor Dillon but never sought an acquaintance until one of Marc's enemies attempts to murder Marc in the elevator. Dillon hits the enemy with a potted plant to save M

Assassins in Love #2
This is the sequel to, "Assassins are People Too" and is even better than its predecessor! S.C. Wynne has grown as a writer, just from the first book in this series to this one. Assassins Love People Too has a lot more depth and description than the first and the POV changes are easier to follow. Keep up the good writing and I am looking forward to even more depth and description in the third book in the series…

First, I want to say that you must read book one first, this one starts exactly where the last one off.

Now to that point, I love that this picks up exactly where we are left. One of my dislikes for series or continuations is the flashbacks.

Dillon and Marc are still on the run, they’ve split up but are meeting up to try and figure out how to stop all the madness so Marc can retire and they can start a life together.

As Dillon and Marc learn more about each other, so good so not, we also learn that

I felt generous with my rating, only because there was at least some action sequences and some new characters. I've read other SC Wynne that I've enjoyed more. This was okay but still fell quite short in character development. The characters aren't being made to feel as if they're communicating at all, or have a real emotional connection. What the hell would they even have conversations about? Marc's off killing people and Dillon spends his time being resentful. We only really see Dillon most of ...more

This is a very fast moving and funny beginning to a series. It ends on a “cliff hanger” but it’s not too terrible – just enough to keep you interested.

Marc and Dillon have amazing chemistry and their banter is witty and entertaining.

I really enjoyed this beginning to the series and can’t wait for it to continue.

It’s a short story so my hope is we’ll see more of these guys’ characters in the coming books.

It's great to see Marc and Dillon again! More danger and drama as they try to make a life together, free of Marc's dangerous past. Whether that will happen and whether Marc really wants it are big questions and only partially answered in this installment. We also get to meet new characters that help in the main characters' bid for freedom, and I'm looking forward to Ronin and Gianni's story.

SC Wynne is another author who never disappoints. Assassins Love People Too, the much anticipate sequel to the first book in her Assassins in Love series, is no exception.

S.C. Wynne started writing m/m in 2013. She's the 2018 Lambda Award winner for Gay Romance with her book Crashing Upwards. She loves writing m/m and her characters are usually a little jaded, funny and ultimately redeemed through love.
S.C loves red wine, margaritas and Seven and Seven’s. Yes, apparently S.C. Wynne is incredibly thirsty. S.C. Wynne loves the rain and should really live in Seattle
