This is another riveting crime romance by this author. I found myself at the edge of my seat, anxiously wanting to uncover the mystery. It’s a companion/sister novel to the All Falls Down duo, but can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the duo yet (it’s still on my TBR), and didn’t encounter any difficulties.

A well deserved 5 star read with a magnificent storyline you will not be able to put down! I can only but highly recommend this book for all readers of this intriguing genre. This is a totally captivating and extremely sexy romance. It’s filled with emotions, drama, intrigue, suspense, and lots of hot, steamy passion. Ivy and Cam have some serious chemistry going on that will definitely raise your blood pressure, but it’s the storyline that will grab your attention and hold your interest throughout. There’s plenty to keep you entertained from beginning to end in this fascinating love story.
A little corny.
I quite liked this book. It was well paced and well written and the mystery was really well done.
However, I thought Ivy was a little too perfect on paper and she was also a bit too much of a self-sacrificing martyr for me to really love her. I mean she was willing to give up and let herself go to prison just to save his job of all things? I mean come on, I think spending 25 years in prison is a bit more serious than a job. Don't get me wrong, she wasn't an unlikeable character, rather she was j ...more

I knew nothing about this author before reading this book and since it was a standalone even though it says it's part of a series, I gave it a shot. I really enjoyed the story, even though I figured it out sooner than I would have liked. It still kept me guessing as to what exactly was going to happen and how it would all play out.
