Very good book and start to a new series, packed with emotion, political unrest, and action. Jarrett is a navy SEAL who is on leave. He went to St. Marc to visit a fellow SEAL, and also to check up on his ex-wife, Lacey. It's been five years since their divorce, but he's never gotten over her. The situation on the island has him worried about her and he's determined to get her to safety.

After her divorce from Jarrett, Lacey started a nonprofit organization that helps abused women on the island Very good book and start to a new series, packed with emotion, political unrest, and action. Jarrett is a navy SEAL who is on leave. He went to St. Marc to visit a fellow SEAL, and also to check up on his ex-wife, Lacey. It's been five years since their divorce, but he's never gotten over her. The situation on the island has him worried about her and he's determined to get her to safety.

After her divorce from Jarrett, Lacey started a nonprofit organization that helps abused women on the island escape from their abusers and become self-sufficient. She's made a home for herself and the five year old girl she has adopted. But threats and strange occurrences have her worried.

The story started out with a confrontation between Jarrett and Lacey. He's used some trickery to separate her from her coworker and she isn't happy about it. She's even less happy about his determination to make her leave St. Marc and lets him know, in no uncertain terms, that she isn't going anywhere. An eruption of gunfire emphasizes his point, but Lacey will not budge. He goes with her back to her home, still determined to get her out.

From the moment they meet again, it's obvious that there are still strong feelings. Jarrett has never forgotten her and feels that he failed her during their marriage. Lacey wants him gone because he rouses too many painful memories for her. The painful events that led up to their divorce were made even worse by their lack of communication. Jarrett hadn't wanted to inflict the things he had seen and done on Lacey's innocence, so he kept it all inside. When she lost the baby, he didn't know how to express his own feelings of loss. On her side, Lacey was so determined to be the perfect Navy wife that she never told Jarrett how much she worried about him, and how much she hated that he was always gone. When he left again a few days after the miscarriage, she'd had enough. Five years later, both of them have gone through considerable changes. Lacey has found her confidence and finds it easier to express her feelings and her needs. Jarrett has begun to realize just how much he has lost and that duty to country isn't enough anymore. I loved seeing them start talking to each other and opening up about the way they had felt back then.

I also loved seeing that their connection became even stronger in the present. Jarrett appreciated her strength, her commitment to her people, and how deeply she loved her daughter. Lacey felt safe with Jarrett near, trusting him like she trusted no one else. She also loved the way he connected with her daughter, helping the child deal with the traumas she'd been through. Then to add the icing to the cake, their attraction was stronger than ever. They had always been good together, but now the chemistry between them opens their eyes to the fact that their love had never died. The question becomes one of whether they can get past their old hurts and have the life they dreamed of together.

The intensity of what was going on around them kept me turning the pages to the very end. It was the political unrest and his fears for her safety that brought Jarrett to St. Marc, but it was the immediate danger to her that set his instincts off. He was determined to find out who was behind the vandalism and death threats that she had been receiving. He had his suspicions, but getting the proof was proving to be more difficult. There was also the problem of finding out who had killed little Fleur's mom and who seemed to be determined to finish the job by killing the child too. There were some terrific scenes of nail-biting intensity as Jarrett's SEAL skills are the only things keeping the ones he loves alive. When the political unrest collided with the threats against Lacey, she was thrown into incredible danger. I loved seeing her remain calm and remember the things that Jarrett had taught her, keeping her alive long enough for him to find her. Following along with Jarrett's investigation, there were so many possibilities for who was behind the trouble. Every time I thought I had a handle on who it might be, something new would come to light and change everything around. I have to say that I was completely surprised by who "El Jefe" turned out to be. Even after that there was still one surprise player who showed up at the very end, finally setting Fleur free of her fears.

I loved the epilogue and seeing the decision that Jarrett made about his future. I'm looking forward to more of the series and getting to know his teammates. ...more

This contemporary military romantic suspense story features the complicated relationship between Navy SEAL Jarrett Adler (Iceman) and his ex-wife Lacey, who has established an NGO on a tiny island in order to provide support and employment for oppressed women by making them self-sustaining. Unfortunately, not everyone supports her efforts, including her ex, who is determined to remove her from the unstable and “Navy SEAL Seduction” by Bonnie Vanak is the first book in the ‘SOS Agency’ series. This contemporary military romantic suspense story features the complicated relationship between Navy SEAL Jarrett Adler (Iceman) and his ex-wife Lacey, who has established an NGO on a tiny island in order to provide support and employment for oppressed women by making them self-sustaining. Unfortunately, not everyone supports her efforts, including her ex, who is determined to remove her from the unstable and dangerous nation before it explodes. Once again, they are at odds, complicated by their painful shared past which may prevent them from being able to move forward before time runs out.

This exciting story gives an intriguing glimpse of an exotic locale peopled by folks who are struggling to survive in a harsh society. The tragedy of the struggle for women to support their families, their maltreatment by men, and their hopelessness that Lacey is trying to combat by providing them with gainful employment and a chance at a positive future is nicely balanced by the challenges faced by Jarrett and Lacey who made several mistakes during their marriage and must find a way to move past their pain and distrust to find a future of their own. There are poignant interludes as each main character finds a way to open up about fears and disappointments and lovely growth as they try to rectify and move past the painful events that tore them apart.

I love the insight that reveals the sacrifice made by those who are serving in the military as well as those who are left at home to worry about them. The challenge of reintegrating into civilian life is also touched upon and the genesis of the SOS Agency is revealed. There is a fair amount of violence reflecting the harshness of life on the island but there is also a delicious and sensuous connection between the main characters and a heartwarming look at the bonds of family that has formed. This was an exciting yet touching story and I look forward to reading about the other military men who become active members of the Agency.

One of the SOS Agency series, SEAL Jarrett Adler is determined to get his ex-wife out of the island country of St. Marc when a coup threatens chaos. But Lacey has no intention of leaving her adopted daughter or the women she's been helping via her NGO.

When murders and other nasty occurrences ramp up and the coup occurs, Lacey is forced to leave, but not easily and when she's kidnapped, it takes Jarrett's team to get her back, but is he too late? She floating face down in the Atlantic!

The SOS Agency miniseries starts off with an installment packed with action and lots of peril. Add in a second chance at romance plot, and the book is doubly enjoyable, especially when threats and feelings become entangled. I have always found the paranormal releases by Bonnie Vanak to be imaginative plus feature original characters, and her first romantic suspense book is just as captivating. Since there will be more books centered around the newly formed SOS Agency, I look forward to catching The SOS Agency miniseries starts off with an installment packed with action and lots of peril. NAVY SEAL SEDUCTION has nonstop action that frequently seems foreboding.

Training that Navy SEAL Lt. Jarrett “Iceman” Adler received has helped him complete numerous missions, but it will probably not help in persuading a very stubborn woman to listen when he presents his reasonable argument. There is much political unrest on the island of St. Marc at the moment, and what should have been a pleasant reunion with a buddy while both are on leave could easily turn into a nightmare situation. Though not worried about himself, Jarrett does fear for the safety of his ex-wife, Lacey Stewart, and plans to talk her into leaving.

When the two meet up, Jarrett has no idea how she will respond to him. He soon learns Lacey is unwilling to abandon the charitable organization she runs that assists poor women on the island. She is just as adamant about staying as he is to see her depart, and nothing said seems to change her thinking. Jarrett may no longer have a say in how she lives her life, but he is not going to let anything bad happen to her. When minor threats suddenly turn extremely dangerous, Lacey knows her former husband has the ability to keep her safe. Yet getting close to him again may have too high of a price.

The marriage of Jarrett and Lacey fell apart when he was not able to support her during a personal crisis, and going through the pain of letting him once again into her life and then to only return to his duties as a SEAL is more than she can endure. However, neither has forgotten what it was like to be a couple, and this link may not be as broken as they believe. Seeing each other again brings up lots of good plus unhappy memories, and whether to listen to their minds or follow the longing in their hearts causes plenty of internal conflict. The reactions of Jarrett and Lacey were always very realistic, and I hurt along with them when confessions were declared. Although they have much difficulty reaching a decision on many issues at this time, they can mutually agree on how the powerful sexual attraction between them is still very much alive. When control is lost, the encounters are definitely steamy.

Bonnie Vanak has created a fascinating world for NAVY SEAL SEDUCTION, where duty and desire collide. The setting is filled with visually descriptive details, thus letting me feel like I was right there on the island facing jeopardy or observing the daily life of the islanders. The intrigue of what is actually going on is cleverly conceived, and I was drawn into every gripping incident because of the growing amount of uncertainty. As every new revelation was exposed, I was often shocked and became more fearful for Jarrett and Lacey. I am thrilled Bonnie Vanak has joined the romantic suspense genre.

Political unrest, harassing incidents, and constant danger is threatening the lives of innocent, and bringing two lovers back together, at least for the moment.
The story has a lot background to the charity, and its benefits, that Lacey created, and is now running. Also, the political unrest and the troubles it has brought into the characters daily life is front and center of the tale. The danger that is upon the charity, Lacey, and her daughter, is constant. The overall plot and chemistry was really good. I kept waiting for more. Not sure what, but just more. The overall book didn't have impact didn't keep me up at night reading. Interesting idea and set up for the series. It was okay.

this book was a good and fast read. the action kept paced, but not giving away the final ending. this book should be read first. I didn't and therefore knew about the happy ending. it was still good to read. the characters were real and well rounded. hoping there is another book in this series.

On about Seals, wow, wish I could find one, a perfect Alpha yet loving and caring, SEAL Jarrett Adler must rescue the woman he never got over—ex-wife, Lacey. Jarrett regrets failing her as a husband, and he hopes protecting her will offer a second chance to win her trust.
The adventure to rescue Lacey is a great story, the twist and turns taken me on adventure of a lifetime, I will look forward to reading the other books in this series.

I'm a fan, Bonnie truly brought out a side of the SEALs people don't always know in this SEAL love story. Action and adventure, heart break and re found or maybe never lost love. Perfect!
