Every year, the companies which manufacture cameras and lenses as well as the companies which manufacture the various software that photographers use for processing the images that they capture continue to release new products which continue to become increasingly advanced every year.
Many images which had been very difficult for photographers to capture during the 35mm era of the 20th century as well as in the era of the earlier digital cameras during the early 2000's are now far easier for photographers throughout the world to capture. The ranges of colors as well as the resolution of the images that photographers capture continues to become increasingly advanced each year now.
And as the equipment which is available to photographers who practice photography in different countries throughout the world continues to become increasingly sophisticated, the images that photographers capture each year continues to become increasingly advanced.
if you enjoy viewing photos of landscapes in countries throughout the world, you will be thoroughly impressed with the Landscape Photographer of the Year Collection 10. All of the books in The Landscape Photographer of the Year series feature a combination of images which are comprised of nature scenes and photos which show man-made elements interacting with the backdrop of natural settings- i.e. photos which illustrate the visual interactions between roads, buildings, bridges, etc. and the hills, rivers, trees. forests, etc that the bridges. the roads, the buildings, etc. have been constructed in close proximity to.

This is Volume 10 of this annual publication, and it was well up to standard. It is strange how some subjects or techniques seem to dominate in certain years. This year it was misty shots of trees, and wintry scenes generally. Scotland is the overwhelming region for subjects, and, for example, there are none of the Humber Bridge which has featured prominently in past years. Not many of English fields etc. Some excellent ones of the sea, both rough and calm.
Whilst I was looking at the book a wintry sun came out and shone a white light on the pictures which really brought out the colours and made me realise how muted they were when viewing them in artificial light.
