An extraordinary effort to catalog all the ways that theatrical traditions think about movement, space, intention, emotion, and the other basic elements of movement in space on a stage. The writing is sometimes highly theoretical and abstract as the authors grapple with concepts that are better felt than described, but you have to appreciate the effort. It's all here, from Asian traditions, to Indian dance, to French and European theatre. This book will change how you think about bodies in space, and staging.
