Oh My Goodness...we have a set up which has so many clauses...
An Inheritance which depends on the man in question to marry before he is 30...ok, doable... but there is also another clause which is a little more tricky...the bride is not to have seen his face before marriage....Hmmmm not so easy....

We have our billionaire fella, a famous chef who, in order to have a somewhat normal life, has kept hidden the wealth...We have an Interior Designer turned Wanna Be W

Bringing a Fairytale into a contemporary format is not an easy feature. I think Leela Lou Dahlin did a great job with “One Last Fling”. If you ask me for the direct name of the fairytale – I would compare it to Cinderella – but not totally – more loosely.

Keeping the idea of the fairytale in mind – the reader should not expect it to be 100 serious when it comes to what is going on or how people react. Usually that would be a reason for me to give less stars. As you might know, when following my r

I really enjoyed this story - which was sweet, cheeky, sexy and managed to poke fun at both the haves and the aspiring-to-haves. It cleverly however created an environment where everyone was redeemed and the ending made everything right - which is after all what we all want, somehow or other.

This is an easy read, with a really nice writing style. Little touches like Daisy considering her name to be a common flower, whils

3 accidentally in love with the Billionaire stars. The story's a bit cliche but I figured if it was written well, that wouldn't matter. This wasn't horrible but it wasn't the bombshell I was hoping for. All in all, it was just a decent read. I was hoping for some fireworks or something, I think.

The story is easy to understand: woman meets guy who is attractive and flirty that she can't get forget yet is vying for another guy's attention, the guy ends up really liking her but can't tell her the

One Last Fling is a romantic novella. It reminds me of a classic Disney movie depicting the tale of arranged marriages. You've got the innocent, kind woman vying for the handsome prince only to meet the servant and fall in love. Then in the end we all learn the servant is actually the prince.

There is no evil step-mother but a very money driven mother who does not like the attention the servant is showing the princess and tries to come between them. This is a great story for when you want that l

I enjoyed this novel but it does require the reader to accept the wildly implausible idea that a billionaire would leave his money to his grandson on the condition that he marries before his thirtieth birthday. Kaleb Derry is the billionaire's grandson in question, in an added twist his mother has pretended that he is the son of the chef rather than hers in order to give him a 'normal' life away

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Daisy Maxwell thinks she is out of her league, she is at the Millionaire's Match Up with her friend and her cousin. She was never one to look at marrying for money but her family is in desperate need. Her sister Rose was the one that their mother always pushed to marry for money, that is until Rose was hit by a drunk drive and now is in a wheelchair. So Daisy is left to take the plunge for the family. W

First off, may I say, I Love a Sexy Cover!

Not only was this a fun new twist - which is hard to come by - for a classic fairytale, it had some "hot" spots that seriously amped up the tension!
Daisy and her family have fallen on hard times. Ryder Blake is living two lives. The two meet each other during a national media event that follows the arrangement of a marriage for a unknown billionaire who must marry by his thirtieth birthday! While this is my first story by this author, I can sincerely say I highly doubt it'll be my last. It was such a great story start to finish, top to bottom. There is a bit of angst as to what is going to happen and how things are going to work out for Daisy and Ryder.

I really enjoyed the way the characters learned each other and came close even though they weren't supposed to have this little romance. It came off as so much

This book put a huge smile on my face. It was sweet, sexy, passionate and beautifully written.
I found it super interesting that a girl goes to an event, Millionaire Match Up, but really isn’t interested in the Millionaire.
Daisy Maxwell is an interior designer who is trying her hand at event planning. Always being told she isn’t good enough she hides in the shadows. But Daisy’s branching out is to try and help her family out of

Daisy Maxwell is hanging around the ballroom at The Millionaire Matchup. It's a ticketed event that her friend paid for her to go with her with her cousin. The big thing about this event in particular is that there's supposedly a billionaire in their midst, but no one seems to know who he is. Chef Ryder Blake is catering all the events for The Millionaire Matchmaker events. He sees a woman on the sidelines and he goes up to her and starts to talk to her about the event and the food, which he's b ...more

This is a bit of a twist on the typical billionaire love story, and for the most part, it worked well.

Daisy and Ryder clearly have instant chemistry. I loved how they found one another at the matchmaking event and immediately connected beyond the hype surrounding them. Ryder was the consummate alpha male in an unusual profession as a chef, and it was clear that he had a healthy and loving relationship with his mother. Daisy was a loyal and believable heroine, who was willing to risk her future o

This was a really fun modern fairytale-type fantasy. I really liked the alter ego aspect and felt it was done well, though I would have enjoyed a little more Kaleb time. (Who wouldn't?! ;)

I really liked both Daisy and Ryder/Kaleb, and the side characters as well. Ms. Derry, our heroes mom, was especially likeable.

This wasn't terribly deep, but it was fully satisfying and a really fun read! Daisy's motivation to help her family was a little weak, but it worked fine for the story. The added stipul

Daisy isn't big on socializing with those she doesn't feel she fits in with. But her parents need financial help, so there she stands observing those in attendance of the Millionaire match up, trying to figure out how to mingle. A chance encounter with Ryder, the head chef, stirs some emotions within Daisy. How can she look for the billionaire who is mixed in the crowd, when the chef is so appealing. But Ryder has a secret and Daisy shouldn't be mingling with the help. As Daisy makes her way thr ...more

I really liked this book. It such a nicely balanced HEA romance. It would be the exact thing I search for when looking for a light-hearted romance to entertain myself. I didn't expect that after reading the blurb as most "millionaire" romances I've read lately are gold-digger , fast paced, and somewhat empty, but this was the opposite. The author created nicely developed characters with Ryder and Daisy.Their c

Daisy is an event planner, interior designer just starting out, but her family is in financial trouble and her Mom talks her into tossing in her hat for the Billionaire’s Bride event. She agrees mainly so she can try to pitch for the wedding. But when she runs into the Chef for the event while sitting back watching the action going on, she finds it hard to stay away from him.

One Last Fling was my first Leela Lou Dahlin book and I enjoyed it so much that I definitely will be looking out for more books written by Leela Lou. What I loved most about the book was the steaming hot chemistry between Ryder and Daisy which was off the charts. I also enjoyed Daisy's character who was not this thin super model, but a size 16 woman who embraced her curves and loves her food. The writing in the book

Sweet and hot romance

This was a really good book, I started and finished the book the day I got it. Daisy is quite sweet girl who would do anything for her family. She enters into a contest to marry a millionaire, won that she can help her family out of financial ruin. Ryder is the chef of the family whose son must get married by 30, or lose everything. When Daisy and Ryder meet, sparks fly.

I look forward to reading more books by this author, I'd like to see the story between Hannah and Trenton

Another wonderful book by Leela, not surprising at all!!! This book is different from some I've read, as it centers around a man living 2 lives, at least in a sense, and a woman who loves the one she knows but must try to marry the faceless man to save her family.
Daisy is quite honestly perfect. I love how she's not your typical size 2 gorgeous main character, but instead a vivacious, sassy size 16 who embraces her curves and is still of course stunning. Ryder is a charmer, and at times I wished

This was my first Leela Lou Dahlin book and I can honestly say that I will be keeping my eye out for more. I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters throughout the book. The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts. I loved how they met and get to know one another. I can see that it really had the potential to backfire badly, not to say we aren't going to see drama but that just made the whole thing better. The anticipation of everything being revealed had me on the edge ...more

A great and captivating story

I gave this book a five star rating because it hooked me right from the beginning. I could not put this book down. I fell in love with Daisy and Ryder from the start, she is strong an confident and he is sweet and charming( did I mention he's a cook?). This book is not without some serious steam, you can feel the passion and lust radiating of you screen that leaves you aching ( in a good way).
The story is a stand alone and no major plot twist. Happy Reading, you wi

This was my first book from Leela Lou Dahlin so I didn't really know what to expect. I really liked One Last Fling. It's a modern version of a fairytale, so you should expect some "hm that would not happen in real life" stuff. I believe somewhere along the way some characteres got their names changed since we see Daisy's mother be called by different names. The MC is awesome. I loved Daisy and how genuine she was. I really liked Ryder (nope, can not and will not call h

This author was a first for me, and from the blurb I was quite excited to get into this one. Unfortunately it didn't quite meet my expectations. Don't get me wrong it was still a good book, I just probably needed a bit more.
The premise behind the book was interesting, Daisy & Ryder where a great mix of sweet and sexy together, however it all just fell together a bit too well for me. If your after a light, sweet, funny read then thi

Even though I rated this book four stars, I would not say I loved it. It was a cute and entertaining afternoon read. It's essentially a bachelor TV series plot but it is nice because we get to see a lot of interaction between the supposed bachelor and Daisy, the main female character. She was fun and I liked how passionate she was about her work and how she was trying to look out for her family. However, I think I am more intrigued by the secondary characters, Hannah a

There are times Ryder has limits where his woman is concerned and that's when he get all sexy, and caveman like, “I do like that you’re so grabby,” he growled near her ear, “but you’ve had me so worked up, I don’t think I can take you wrapping your soft hands around my hard ***k right at this moment.” Ryder is not a bashful man, “are you done with the measurements? Because it doesn’t help that you’re staring at my ***k like you’re famished. It just makes us want to feed you.” I really loved this

3.5 Stars This book is a fairy tale about a Ryder a billionaire who works as a chef falling in love with Daisy a contestant for Marry a Billionaire contest that entering the contest to save her family from financial ruin. The story felt incomplete to me. You had to use your imagination to fill in some of the questions about their relationship.
