Wild at Heart. . .

Wild. Reckless. Stubborn. That's Luke Malloy in a nutshell. The solitary life of a rancher and the untamed Montana wilderness make him feel alive-and nothing will ever change that. Not even being thrown from his horse and forced to accept a stranger's help. The fact that this stranger is a beautiful blonde with a passion for ranching that rivals his own d

First time reader of R.C. Ryan and even though this is the second book of the series it can be read as a stand-alone. I enjoyed this book I loved the characters the plot was enjoyable and very well done. Luke is a knight-errant in a Stenson, if you are looking for an adventurous, daredevil cowboy who isn't going to turn away someone he cares about this is the cowboy you are looking for. Ingrid is a headstrong rancher determined not to lose her family's legacy. Unfortunately her father

This is the second book in the series - and even though I read book one back in April, and have read hundreds in between, I was immediately back with the Malloys and remembered all the family and their ways. I would highly recommend that you read Matt first, as it will definitely enrich the experience. Luke is a very different brother to Matt, and his rough and ready ways do not really hint at the potential for romance -

Luke was one sweet man when it came to Ingrid, "he gave her a lazy smile. “Lady, you’re the perfect playmate. Any time you want another day off, I’m your man.” Luke can sometimes get real creative and plan dates:
“First stop, the stream,” he called over his shoulder. With a roar of engines he shouted, “And I promise, no matter who reaches the water first, I’ll scrub your back.”
“And after that?”
“Probably wild sex.”
I enjoyed this book, Luke was just so sweet.

Luke has always lived life on the wild side, but he also will stop any thing and help those who need it. When he just so happens to land in the life of two sisters he knows his help is needed even though one of them is to stubborn to ask. He will stop at nothing to help them and make sure they are safe, but she is hiding some secrets and he knows he needs to know that first in order to truly help them.
Ingrid has a lot on her plate and she will stop at nothing to protect those she loves, even if

Luke Malloy is the classic middle child. Adventurous, witty, hardworking, reliable and free-spirited. Growing up on the Malloy Ranch, Luke couldn't have asked for more, except for his parents to have survived the car crash that killed them when he was ten, leaving him, older brother Matt and younger brother Reed to be raised by their grandparents. Its clear that Luke loves his grandparents, but there's a longing inside him t

Luke is the very first book I have read by R.C.Ryan. When I read the blurb and saw the cover I was immediately intrigued, so when I got a chance to read this book I was so excited to read it and I absolutely loved it!

In this book we mainly follow Luke and Ingrid and I just love these two together. At first they came off as complete opposite but as they got closer you could see that they were perfect for each other .The romance in this book was absolutely perfect, it was sweet ,sexy and swoon w

Being from a farming background in Montana, I have really enjoyed this series. Luke and Ingrid's story had mystery, discovery, and love. I enjoyed every element! I loved Luke's attention to Ingrid's situation, which includes her adorable younger sister that everyone treats extra special! I love how this entire family comes together to help others. Their compassion for those around them, even when it brings danger to their own, is an element of each of these books I have loved.

Luke Malloy was the middle brother in the family and was probably the wildest one but when he met Ingrid Larsen, she tamed him down quite a lot. Ingrid rescued Luke after a serious fall from his horse and then Luke decided that Ingrid and her sister needed help on their ranch so he stayed to pay back her kindness. This has some mystery and romance and I enjoyed the book very much.

Loved this "cowboy" romance. I was caught up in the story from the very start and couldn't wait to see what developed. This is the first book by this author that I've read, and I'm now anxious to read others.

Good book. Good characters, nice plot, nice setting and good flow.
The main female character reaction when shots were fired at the end seemed a bit off but it also seemed basically after first read it was like ugh...but the author redeem the character almost immediately after.
Nice ending with a hint of cliffhanger to the next books.

I read that someone mention that the cover saddle is a kid saddle........i think the cover is nice for the imaginative than the realistic.......but the

Luke is book two in the Malloys of Montana Series, but can be read as a standalone. This book is easy to lose yourself in. The outside world didn't exist while I was reading about Luke and Ingrid; that's how good this book was! I absolutely love sexy cowboys and Luke fits this description easily. His love for Ingrid is something really special and he's definitely protective, which a characteristic I love in my heroes. Overall, a great read! Looking forward to the next book in this series.

I was in the mood for a good country contemporary romance and this fit the bill perfectly. The cover was not my favorite of all romance covers, maybe because I know farms and horses I’m a little pickier. That saddle he is so gallantly carrying… would fit a small child. So he better be carrying it for a pony. Anyways! on to the review…

Lets start with Ingrid, first off super strong name for a super strong lady. I was impressed with how hard Ingrid worked. Nothing was glossed over in this book, the

This is my first book in this series and if the other Malloys are like Luke sign me up. Luke is wild carefree and a daredevil. He is also sexy sweet gentle and has a heart of gold. when Ingrid helps him and gets him back on his feet he doesn’t walk away no he sticks around to help her. He sees her farm is in danger and so is she so he stays. Even after his family comes to get him he stays.

Luke is so sweet to Ingrid’s sister whom you will love. And the old ranchhand is too much. but Big one will

Short Summary: Luke Mallory gets hurt on the trail when someone shoots at a herd of mustangs. He is found by Ingrid Lawson who nurses him back to health. But instead of high tailing it out of there he stays and helps Ingrid and her little sister lily who are in a mess.

My reaction: This is book two in the Malloys of Montana series. When I bought this book I didn't know it was a part of a series. I still really enjoyed reading this book. I thought it was absolutely great. This book held my attent

"Never call yourself just a woman. You're the most beautiful—" he closed his hands over hers and leaned in to kiss her "—most dazzling woman I've ever known. And you've got me so tied up in knots..."

Oh, I'm absolutely loving this series from R.C. Ryan and just like Ingrid grabbed Luke, these Malloys of Montana have got me all tied up in knots. I think it's safe to say that, as much as I've enjoyed her others, Luke is now officially my favorite of all the books I've read by this author.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The chemistry between the two main characters was very believable and I was rooting for them from the get-go. Lil Bit was a hoot; she was priceless and kept me laughing most of the time. While this is the 2nd book in the series, it definitely can be read alone. I'm looking very forward to the 3rd book!
I received this book through a GoodReads contest and in return promised my honest review.

This book is #2 in the The Malloys of Montana Series and they can be read as a stand alone issue but they are best read in order.

Luke Malloy is the kind of cowboy I love to read about. Hardworking, brave, witty, and so darn likable. He cares deeply, and once he lets a person in and decides to care about them, he’ll risk whatever he has to risk to make sure they’re properly cared for. He’s a man’s man, definitely, but he’s got a soft heart and beautiful soul. And I loved his interactions with the heroine, Ingrid, and her younger sister. Because while Ingrid is strong and proud, Luke can’t bear th

It is a must read. It is set in the back drop of Montana, a wild west romance. The characters are bold and alive. It is a cow punching murder mystery. Prepare to loose yourself in the story.

I am starting a library of books from R.C. Ryan. I like that she sets her stories in Montana. She has really given us true characters. I didn't get pulled into this book. I jumped in by myself. I am a western fan. This book has some graphic scenes scattered around. I hope you still want to read this book. Be prepared. Ingrid found Luke unconscious and brought him to her ranch thinking he shot at mustangs. He gets better and sees she runs the ranch alone with one wrangler, Mick. Two men want her ...more

Luke Malloy is the wild one of the Malloy brothers. He's always lived his life the way he wants and how he wants. Then he stumbles in to the life on Ingrid Larsen. Ingrid is struggling to keep her fathers ranch afloat after he passed away suddenly. After Ingrid helps him out Luke decides he wants to hang around her ranch and help her if he can. Love the Malloy clan. Luke is one of those guys who is always there for the underdog. Ingrid is a fighter though and she is made of some tough stuff. It ...more

I have yet to meet a Malloy, I didn't like. Rugged, loyal, with a mile long wild streak and a big heart to match Luke is less of a loner and more of a nurturer. When he cares, he does it completely and that is both a strength and a weakness. His soft heart lands him some tough situations that build character but can also prove dangerous. Ingrid is his equal in every way except one. She works hard, cares deeply, but doesn't trust easily. How could these two strangers know that a simple act of kin ...more

Ingrid Larsen doesn’t need a man to make her happy. She has her sister and her father’s ranch; a ranch she’s fighting very hard to keep in her family. How she’s supposed to do that when someone keeps sabotaging her efforts is beyond her. Until she rescues the handsome and unconscious man she finds while out exploring her part of the country. Allowing him the chance to recover at her property, she can’t ignore her growing attraction to him. Will Luke be able to

this is a good cowboy romance story. The male character is just so sweet, you will definitely melt as you read. This book can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series. This is the perfect book for the winter months, with sexy cowboys to keep you reading long into the night and beyond. I cant wait to read more in this series and by this author in the future.

Thoroughly fell in love with the characters in this series. While Luke had definitely been a wild child, once meeting Ingrid and her little sister, he had already began the process of maturing and becoming the man that he was destined to be. I loved his manners and his thoughtful way of helping the Marrow family. If you love cowboy romances (and who doesn't) this is the next read for you. Luke is my first book by this author, I really loved this one. It was nice and sweet with a little mystery thrown into the mix. Luke was so sweet and so determined to get what he wanted. Ingrid was tough and able to handle her own, but with Luke she was able to let her guard down. These two together were just amazing. I can not wait to read more from this author.

I loved this story. Luke and Ingrid were perfect for each other, and for each other's families, and it was fun watching them fall in love. The suspense and drama of what was happening on her ranch added a lot to the story as well.
