Haruomi awakens to the power of the Ring of Solomon and decides to take up the role of Annihilator in the Seventh Gospel Organization, a society of demon hunters, in order to grant Zilch her wish. Under orders from the organization, Haruomi and Zilch begin a covert investigation to find a new "branch" at Kanmeikan High School, where they're joined by none other than Murohime. What adventures await them there...?!
As a Southern Baptist, I admit I am somewhat uncomfortable with all this stuff involving the various demons once believed to have been captured & imprisoned by King Solomon of the Old Testament of The Bible (he was a king of ancient Israel, reigned somewhere around 1600 & 1200 B.C. He was the son of & successor to the famed King David, who as a shepard boy, killed a 9 foot tall Philistine warrior (who is generally believed to have been one of the "giants" spoken of in the OT, offspring of the fallen angels & human females), with 1 small stone & a sling). Regardless, this story has been interesting so far, yet also I will say being highly disturbing yet oddly fascinating. It's quickly become apparent that this story is headed for a harem element. There's already four girls interested in Io (however three are demon/human hybrids, the fourth, a nun, who may also be...?). I think I'm going to stick with this series. Entertaining, to say the least. Art, excellent. Dialogue, a bit silly at times, I mean really over-the-top at times, but it mostly fits in with the storyline. At least there's not as much posturing & monologing as in Val X Love or DBZ! Characters, likeable, interesting, engaging.
