I enjoyed the questions that this book would have you ask yourself and journal. I really liked the Excuses chapter.

The past made you who you are. Feel what you need to feel, grieve what you need to grieve, but then move on. Leave the past in the past. You cannot be looking ahead for an open door while facing backward staring at a closed one.

Life 101 serves as a tool for assisting anyone looking to make a change in their life. The shared anecdotes provide helpful insight and inspiration on how to go about setting and achieving a desired goal. The questions at the end of the chapters guide the reader through the process.
The discussion of multitasking resonated with me. I have always taken pride at being able to multitask well. I never considered this to have any negative consequences. It did not occur to me that by multitasking, I wasn't giving any of the tasks my full attention. I admit that there were times when I felt I rushed through a task and didn't take the opportunity to enjoy what I was doing but was more focused on its completion. As I think back, I was raised to multitask. My mother is a master at multitasking. She is always busy and has accomplished a great deal in her lifetime. My sisters are also queens of multitasking!
Taking the time to enjoy and live in the moment is now one of my goals. As I consider the labyrinth, life is not a straight path but a series of twists and turns. At times, we need to stop and take note of our surroundings and live in the moment. Many thanks to the authors for helping me realize the importance of this prospective.

While I'm not one to usually read from this genre, I found life 101 a guide to your personal evolution made me think. The book help give me the opportunity to take some time to look at myself without the usual clutter that blocks self-reflection. I especially appreciated the references to movies, literature and the authors' own lives and experiences. I found that the inspirational quotes often resonated with me. The book was easy to read and flowed smoothly making me less likely to put it down. I highly recommend this book.

I appreciate the many inspirational insights, quotes, analogies, success stories and lessons learned depicted in book. If you’ve ever felt lost, stuck, or indecisive this program will teach you how to go within for answers. The musician Prince wrote “…we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life,” this book encompasses all of the necessary tools to be able to fully participate and provides the encouragement to get in the game. And if you really work the program by taking notes, answering the questions, creating the lists, you will be pleasantly reacquainted with yourself.
