"Sharing a testimony creates an atmosphere for the sign, wonder, or miracle to be duplicated. In essence, sharing a testimony is about wanting God to do it again. If prophecy causes change in present events, releasing a testimony is pulling from the past to prophesy a greater future." (17)

"Jesus spoke to me and said, 'I died so there would always be enough.'" (20) // Heidi Baker

"When [Charles] Parham went on a trip toward the end of 1900, he left the students [of his ministry school in Topeka, Kansas] with the assignment of searching the Scriptures to find the proof and evidence of being baptized in the Holy Spirit. When he returned, they had decided that the answer was speaking in tongues. Then on New Year's Eve of 1900, a student named Agnes Ozman asked Parham to lay hands on her and pray for her to receive the Spirit baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongues. In the early hours of the first day of the new century on January 1, 1901, Ozman spoke in tongues for the first time. That same week Parham and many of the students also began to speak in tongues. . . This was at a time when speaking in tongues was unheard of." (24-25)

"Then on June 29, 1905 at 3:00a.m., the Holy Spirit fell on one of Ramabai's volunteers. American missionary Minnie Abrams recorded the story saying that
The young woman sleeping next to her awoke when this occurred, and seeing the fire enveloping her, ran across the dormitory, brought a pail of water and was about to dash it upon her, when she discovered that she was not on fire. IN less than na hour nearly all of the young women in the compound gathered around, weeping, praying, and confessing their sins to God. The newly Spirit baptized girl sat in the midst of them, telling what God had done for her and exhorting them to repentance.

"Wales experienced a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit from 1904-1905 when God raised up a coal miner in his twenties named Evan Roberts (1878-1951). In less than four months, over 100,000 people got saved. Shops closed down, people reconciled, crime decreased, debts were paid off, and the nation was brought to a spiritual awakening which continues to have ripple effects around the world to this day." (27) // interesting that they included mention of debts being paid off

"Just as Charles Finney sent his intercessor Daniel Nash ahead of him to pray and break up the fallow ground in cities before he came to preach, so Bartleman, Smale, and others were sent ahead to Los Angeles to pray before the incoming revival. God used these intercessors and others to prepare for a great outpouring of the Spirit before William J. Seymour came onto the scene." (32) // similar to the CA stewardship spoken for J, C, G, D, R, J, J, C?

"While the Welsh Revival was marked by mass salvations and social transformation, the Azusa Street Revival was marked by the Pentecostal Spirit baptism encounter." (56)

"Consecration is when one wholly yields to the leading of the Holy Spirit no matter the cost. It is an unreserved yes to whatever God calls us to do." (59)

"Being intentional with community will be an important factor in stewarding this next move of God . . . will be an important aspect of stewarding and discipling this incoming harvest. Staying known in a close-knit community with others who burn for Jesus is a key for sustaining revival and finishing well." (88)
