With no memory of her parents' murders or her own abduction by a renegade band of Apache, Caroline Hanley has resigned herself to a loveless union with an Apache brave--until hired gunman Ross Bennett comes looking for her
This was not one of my favourite books, too many characters involved in the story. I prefer two main characters and the story evolving around them. Would have scored 3 1/2 as I did start skipping pages which isn't a good sign. She was taken as a young adolescent by the Apache, the rest of her family believed killed. Her grandfather had continuously looked for his grandchildren until about five years later he is helped by a man who is part Apache himself. Eventually all the grandchildren are found, there is heartache, loss and lots of love. The heroin to me was a bit of a pain in the neck, reckless and came to the wrong conclusions too quickly.
