What do you when you have to stand up in front of a congregation every Sunday and preach the word of God with your wife sitting in the front pew and your mistress only a few rows back? This is the life of Reverend Paul Stanley; Pastor of New Faith Missionary Baptist Church. The good Reverend is known to not only spread the word of faith, but also known to give himself to any woman that would open her legs to receive him. What the church doesn’t know is that Paul has secrets that only God can forgive him for. Will they be exposed, or will Paul do everything in his power to keep them hidden?
Travis Whitehead is the head deacon at New Faith Missionary, and good friends with Paul. These two are a prime example of: birds of a feather flock together. Travis is married to a young, educated and beautiful woman, but not even that’s enough to keep him from sharing his bed with a forbidden fruit. Will Travis be able to cut ties with his mistress, or will she do anything to keep him?
Karla Stanley is the first lady of New Faith and the HBIC, or so she thinks. She knows all about her husband’s affairs with other woman, but she turns a blind eye as long as the money continues to roll in and she can have her fun on the side as well. Everything is perfect for Karla until her secret life begins to slip from her grasp. Will Karla be able to hold on, or will it all blow up in her face?
Step into this sanctuary of lies, sex, and deceit. These members are so scandalous that they’ll leave you completely amazed. Sometimes the church isn't as "holy" as you think, and you’ll find that out in, Even The Preacher Got A Side Chick.
These people of the church showed they're entire natural black asses. Wow!!! I have to tell you, a slow and brutal death would be too good for both Paul and Travis. These two men of the cloth didn't give a DAMN. At first, I thought there was hope for Paul and I also thought he was the lesser of the two evils. He definitely proved me wrong. That dude has totally lost it. Travis is no better. He is as evil as they come and I literally hopes he dies a horrible death. I have a feeling that when the time comes, he's going to pay dearly for what he's doing to Fatima. Poor Fatima. If there is anyone that deserves happiness in this whole story, it's her. She is completely surrounded by devils. What she needs to do is call up Pooky and June Bug and nem from back home and have them handle up on Travis after what he did. As far as Karla goes, I have no love for her boney, no body having ass. She's just as bad as the men. I have a feeling that Marcus will play a major role in the down fall of this Mega church. He'll have something to say in the end. Great job with this story.
OH My! When I read the title, I had a feeling this story would be scandalous & it didn't disappoint! Page after page, these characters, especially Paul, Travis, Karla & Candice kept the storyline jumping with their actions & behaviors.. Content in line with title as these were some busy characters in this story! I could just imagine the scenes unfolding as they were taking place! First read by Angie Hayes & ready to read part 2!
It's so much drama, deceit, lies, fornication. Thru out the whole book it left me speechless. It kept my attention thru out the whole book and .well developed. I can't wait for part 2.
This book left me speechless. That damn Paul is something else, him and Travis could be brothers. Everybody was sleeping with each other's wives && daughters. I hope that Fatima gets out of her terrible marriage and finds happiness with Quincy. Travis can dish out the dirt but he can't handle her doing her. Rev Paul is something else, he undercover loves men. He should just come out with it and be with Marcus. I feel bad for Candice and I hate that happened to her, she was a little lost soul. Travis gonna die when he finds out what happened to her. Karla and Paul deserve each other they both shady. She should just confess her sins to Paul and keep it moving. These church folks are something else, and I will be looking at the preacher and head deacon with the side eye now. Angie Hayes always delivers that
Too many grammatical mistakes. Unrealistic storyline. I will not be reading the sequel. Some of these .99 books on Amazon are a hit or miss. And this one was a Miss .
Yassssss....I am so glad that I already have book two with all the twist and turns and I am sick of both of those dudes. This is definitely a good good read. Its page turning from the very beginning and keeps you intrigued all the way through.
My mother forced me to read this book because she loved the fast pace of the story. If you are looking for a story that is non-stop drama on every page, you will not be disappointed. This is a fast paced story with a lot of drama and if you enjoy those plot lines this book will not disappoint. If you enjoy rich character development and stories that are insightful, you may want to skip this title. I think this book feels unrealistic (I know it's fiction but still) because the pace of the story did not allow for enough character development. The story is set in a church. This is a wonderful platform to allow the church and the members to play into duality in the main characters. It is also a good story setting to show internal juxtaposition between good and evil. I think if the story allowed some room to develop richness in the thoughts and lives of the characters, although their actions were extreme, they would have seemed more plausible. The way this book is written makes me curious why the author chose to set the story in a church.
Trigger warning on this book. There is domestic violence and rape in this book.
Reading this book made me realize that the devil worships too. I don't know who is the worst Pastor Stanley or Deacon Travis. The both of them are trifling as hell. Pastor Stanley is a fraud of the cloth. That man is screwing anything with a heartbeat but he has done the unthinkable. Truthfully Deacon Travis is equally trifling. He can dish it out and think Fatima suppose to put up with it. I felt sorry for Fatima. Everything was starting to get to her. Karla was just as scandalous and was no better than her husband.
This book right here... it's got so much going on. I mean the preacher and deacon are treacherous with their infidelity. I feel so sorry for Fatima but then who would stay with someone that disrespects her the way he does. But he can't handle it when he think the roles are reversed. Tonya through me for a loop...I can't wait to get to part 2. Travis and Paul will have you up all night trying to figure out what tomfoolery they'll do next. Awesome book!!!!
Good drama filled book. Between Paul and Travis’ infidelities I couldn’t figure out who was sleeping with who. It was a lot!! I will say somewhere towards the middle to end I was getting tired of the circle of cheating and waiting for something else to happen but it didn’t come for me. I also was tired of heroin being spelled incorrectly. I do want to find out what happens next for these men though.
Now when I tell you this book has so many secrets, lies and twists and turns. Where do I start, Karla is crazy and with a drug habit. Paul nasty sleeping with Marcus, he going to mess around and give someone aids. I feel sorry for Fatimia she deserves so much better. Travis would be dead if he did me that way. Oh lord what will happen next? Definitely a page turner that I cannot put down.
All this spouse switching I can’t keep up. Who knew the church had so much tea! This is so juicy. I’m loving all of the characters and the plot is like love and hip hop the church version. With all of this fornicating I don’t know when they have time to be in church but I’m here for it. I’m about to check out part two now!
This was a crazy book. Pastor liked opposite sex. Friends sleeping with there friends husband. Both main characters have more secrets than a man in the moon. Book was off the chain.
Soooo the plot thickens. What's really going on. Preacher on the dl. Deacon just screwing everybody. And they are all intertwined sheesh. I can't wait to read the second half. Because this book is mind blowing.
Wow!! All these secrets keep coming out. Everyone is sleeping with this person or the other. These church folks are doing too much. I can hardly wait to see what happens in part 2. It's getting better and better.
This book and the characters are off the chain, I know they say these books are non fiction but , but I think this is some real live deal to be not true, can't wait to read part 2.
This book is fast paced with so many characters that you had to definitely remember who is with who—- nice reds headed to book 2 because I can’t wait to see what’s happening.
This was amazing, it had a lot of excitement and mystery. Even though these guys were a preacher and a deacon they had a lot of skeletons in there closet.
This is a reread for me. I had forgotten that I was waiting on the sequel, so now I just wanted familiarize myself with the bullshjt in the pulpit..lol...Now to book 2.
