For fans of Minecraft and graphic novels, an epic, full-color adventure. Phoenix is back—and on a quest to discover her true identity.

This full-color, graphic novel adventure, with over 750 color images, is created especially for readers who love the fight of good vs. evil, magical academies like Hogwarts in the Harry Potter saga, and games like Minecraft, Terraria, and Pokemon GO.

Peace has finally been restored in Xenos, but Phoenix longs to return home to her family of miners. Sheltered by the monks who guard the border world, she spends her days searching for clues about her real identity.

Just when Phoenix is losing hope that she’ll ever discover the truth, two miner ambassadors arrive at the monastery, looking for a girl from their ancient legends who is said to wear an enchanted Ender eye necklace and is destined to save their village. Could that girl be Phoenix?

Determined to follow every clue that could set her free, Phoenix decides to join them on their quest to restore peace to their land. But along the way, zombie pirates attack, capturing Phoenix and taking her to the Nether. Now it’s up to Xander to convince the villagers and miners to put aside their differences and come to Phoenix’s rescue. The fate of their world depends on it.

Fans of Minecraft will be on the edge of their seats in this thrilling tale!

I have wanted to be a writer since I was four years old and fell in love with reading. I wrote stories and songs and poems. I wrote plays and scribbled thoughts and ideas in notebooks. I wrote when I was supposed to be doing sports, and sometimes I wrote under the covers by flashlight when I was supposed to be asleep in bed.

I got my first big break writing stories for Sesame Street video games. Then I helped design and create video games based on books, like Bruce Coville's My Teacher is an Alien and Roxie Munro's Inside Outside World. I got my big break when Byron Preiss commissioned me to write my first novel, Dragon School. I felt like the luckiest person in the world because I got to live my dream!

That was 20 years ago! Since then, I've written many more books. I write about Paw Patrol, SpongeBob Squarepants, Mickey Mouse and Bubble Guppies for little kids. I write about Fortnite, Minecraft and Terraria video games for bigger kids. I also get to write about cool trends like Fidget Spinners, the K-Pop band BTS, how to record your family history, and a guide to playing Pokemon Go!

None of what I do would be possible without encouragement from my family and friends, the love and support of my amazing husband, guidance from all the fantastic editors, publishers and illustrators I work with, and of course letters and notes from readers like you!

Another fun GN for fans of Minecraft! Really impressed with the depth of this book - you can tell it is written by someone who really understands the storyline. This was a quick read that kind of just 'swept' the afternoon away for me; really enjoyed getting lost here before I watched the evening news.

It had a good story plot but it had parts that should have had more detail, I gave It a 3* because I think it was interesting but it was not giving me enough details and it left out important parts.

Two ambassadors find Phoenix who they believe is the prophecy that can save their world. Phoenix goes with them hoping to find answers to her past. As they're traveling through the nether Phoenix is held hostage by a pirate who wants her powers which he believes comes from the amulet she wears around her neck. Phoenix knows nothing of powers but has seen the amulet glow at times. It was given to her by her parents but she thought it was just a necklace. Meanwhile her brother is searching for her. Can he find her before the pirate loses patience and does away with Phoenix?
The complexities of the minecraft world are a fun read.

When I read this book, I think it was amazing. I love on how Phoenix, even though she was young, had explored the Nether and found Pigmen that can bake. I think the Pigmen were funny in this book. I like on how the background is design and added mob sounds like the chicken clucking. I think the dog was cute, but he had to go to his family after they went to an amusement park. The amusement park was also my favorite part of the book too. I think that when I grow up, I will explore every single area where treasure lies bellow.

This book was a really good Minecraft comic book. I liked this book because I liked the part when the zombie pigmen sent Phoenix a bunch of their cakes from the nether as a thank you.

This book is horrible. Maybe it was the version I read. I dont know. The graphics are way too dark. I can barely see them. The writing is... not great. I dont get why the ratings are so high.

Remember that time it was cool to badly write books about popular gaming characters just sell them? Yeah, me neither. I'm disappointed that this book was a scholastic book sold at a school book fair and it is just one book in a five part series. Inevitably, the bad sentence structure and grammar is extensive.
