I used this book to supplement a course in computer vision. The exposition leaves much to be desired. The authors handwave nontrivial mathematical results, without acknowledgement. Errors are also abundant (least squares solution is wrong on p.294, derivative of minimization criteria is wrong on p. 301).

Giving up on this book. I would revisit a lot of these topics in another text... to be determined.
