This book stands out as much more than a "cookbook". The book is bright, well written and useful in and out of the kitchen. Introducing different flavors, ingredients and ideas is fun and I can't wait to try many of the recipes out. To be honest, I went through the book and put "post-its" on each page I want to try......there are many. The recipes and directions are clearly written and easy to follow. The idea of "CLEAN EATING" is very natural for me so this is not a stretch.
Bought the book after following Lexi on Instagram. These recipes are fantastic. Like everything on her blog, it's hard to mess them up. The instructions are clear, the pictures are gorgeous, and they toe the line between easy-to-make and still interesting for more advanced cooks. I'm a vegetarian, and though there is a lot of meat in the book, many of the book's recipes can be adapted to vegetarian or vegan very easily.
First let me say... recipes are made to be tweaked... at least that is what my granny always said, and I am a true believer, also! Now, for the book... I loved it! Enough said! LOL!!!
First I must say I DO NOT LIKE AVOCADO!!!! This book has an overuse of avocado. On that note I loved this book. This book gave some good options for people who want to do better, or who cannot eat the normal diet of a healthy american. I think that I might have to buy this book.
The recipes I have made so far were very good, and if there were any modifications for my diet restrictions, pretty easy to adjust. I was surprised how great turkey meatballs can be!
