This was a quick read and as usual from Max Lucado extremely, immensely encouraging. I need to dig into the attached study materials. I read it to test it for a future study resource. It's all about living the story God wrote for you using examples from the New Testament. You're created by God and part of His story. It's a great book.

I adore Max Lucado's books. They always fill me with such a peaceful feeling, and I love that he uses real life examples to explain biblical stories.

This particular book really struck me for some reason, and I think I must have just read it at the perfect time or something. It was definitely one of my favorites from him.

Max Lucado books have a wonderful way of speaking to my heart at just the right time and in just the right way! As usual, I highly recommend this book, and even if you don't have a small group to do the videos and questions with, do them anyway. Written for Christians, but very new-to-the-faith ones. Lots of basic theology covered in a very basic way. Having said that, it assumes the reader is familiar with lots of traditions that might not be "old news" to everyone.

This book completely changed my life!! It opened up a door of light for me to see and find my way back to Jesus Christ. God heard my cry and he answered. He knocked and I let him in. I will never go back into that darkness ever again. He loves me too much for that to happen. He will not let me go. The evening after I finished reading this book, I asked the question, “What is the truth?” He sent me a vision and told me what I had to do. I did it and became convicted deep down in my soul. He saved me that night, and I physically felt it. My faith is strengthened. I was sent into Godly Sorrow for three weeks before I understood what was happening. God gave me the gift of repentance. I strongly recommend this book.
