The ending to this book isn't for everyone, no matter what most on here will say. My 6 year old was besides himself at the end. Hiding, tears, the works. He flat out refuses to go anywhere near the book and has requested we throw it in the bin. So I guess I'd say have a think about how sensitive your child is before reading it. A real shame too as the author was in their school and he was so excited to read it.

for me this book was annoying- the title says it all- two terrible pterosaur twins.
they were terrible.
however their ending was fitting.

the lad liked it, we read it multiple times.

The book Rotten and Rascal is a hilarious tale of two terrible twins whose failure to get along leads to their downfall. This book is a great read for adults and their children because of the ability to relate to all and the competitive nature of humans in general. With a surprising twist at the end the book will have you laughing and wanting more. The vibrant color scheme of the book makes every page intriguing and really brings the scenery to life and is pleasing to the eye. I would highly recommend reading this book aloud because to get the full effect of the story adults and children can raise thee voices and even scream to show the personality of the two terrible twins. This book besides being a great read aloud really highlights the importance of getting along and emphasizes the social skill of being able to communicate with friends or siblings effectively to get what you need in an appropriate manor. If I was using this book in my classroom I would use it for teaching alliteration because of the choice of sentence structure and story line in the book. Overall I thought the quality of the book was great and definitely was a fun book to read aloud to others even if they weren't kids.

Why I chose that book:
I picked this book out specifically because of the ability be multiple characters when reading. Plus the story line of the book allows me as the reader to manipulate my voice between loud and soft sounding to interact with the audience to make the book more enjoyable for students and others listerning.

Rotten and Rascal are two pterosaurs that are constantly battling to be better than one another. They are always squabbling and creating too much noise.

This book is great for younger children aged 4-7. It's got brilliant speech and also has great examples of alliteration. This book is full of humour and can easily be relatable for young children who tend to be in competition with each other.

This is a great book to use in a philosophy lesson for children when thinking about how everyone is special in their own ways and that no body is better than anyone else.

A fantastic read that I'd recommend for young readers.

Best laugh out loud children's picture book that I've read in a long time. This one should definitely be read out loud to my new boyfriend's kids.. He's got identical twin girls ;-).
