The stars above the farm shine bright,
As Sheepdog turns in for the night.
A hundred sheep now put to bed,
He yawns and shakes his weary head.
But. . . the sheep won’t sleep!

It’s bedtime in the farmyard and all the animals are settling down for the night, apart from the naughty flock of 100 sheep. They are more interested in racing around and disturbing the peace than drifti

A cute rhyming piece that tells of a handful of rowdy sheep who refuse to settle for the night. At each turn, the sheep grow by tens, causing more trouble around the farm. By the end, the poor sheepdog has no choice but to take things into his own paws... and force them to settle down. Neo liked this book, both because of the rhymes and that it allowed him to count his fluffy friends. Surely a wonderf ...more

The Sheep Won't Sleep

This phrase is used throughout the book encouraging little ones to join in the reading. It is a fun, bright, colourful rhyming read.

A fun counting book about sheep causing havoc at bedtime. There really are a hundred sheep; keeping track of them is made easier by them ending up in different costumes by groups of 10 (that relate to the mischief they've gotten up to). Lovely pictures and Miss 2 had fun reading it. ...more

Felt kind of meh.

You can see where they tried to make it a rhyming book but some of those rhymes are a bit of a stretch.
