Uplifting. I need this kind of poetry collection when my days are gloomy.💖

Seeds Planted in Concrete is a beautiful collection of poems and essays. It has--and still is--helping me through a rough patch. I highly encourage everyone to read it if you want to be relatively happier. If you're recovering from a loss or a bad breakup or a painful experience that left you feeling like shit, you should read this. This is the book for you.

I can't say it enough: I love this book, and I will read it over and over and over again.
This is such a great poetry collection. (full review soon)

Seeds Planted in Concrete is a very empowering read. It reminds you that you should love yourself first before anyone else. What I like in this book is that it's full of positivity. It's different compared to the other poetry books that I've read this year which were full of angst and will make you feel sad and depressed. But this book isn't like that. Yes, the author mentioned about loss and being broken but she wrote it in a way that will invigorate you.

I urge everyone to read this book, even

One of the best, if not the best, modern poetry collections you can read. Absolutely incredible. Her words are so wise, intricate and delicate that you feel them caressing your soul. I love this book, I love it so very much.

Love it!
Reading through this book made me feel like if a friend were giving me advice. It was uplifting and an eye opener. There was a particular poem that talks about self love that is found in page 90 that I absolutely adored. It is quite short, but beautiful!
Highly recommended!

I don't even know where to start, this book was so beautiful I am at a serious loss for words. This is easily the best poetry book I have read so far and I would recommend it to anyone who's interested in easing into poetry. I wish I could give this 19373892 out of 5 stars!

I cannot stop talking about this book.
This is the first time I was introduced to poetry book, and after few pages, I fell in love, deeply.

Bianca's writing is so raw and beautiful.
I could re-read her poetry so many times and never get bored.
It's like a first aid kit when you face heartbreak and insecurity, also something that will brighten up your day. I love love love this book with all of my heart!

If you don't like poetry, you must pick up this book. You won't regret it <3

have nothing much to say just "I love the way she writes", makes me remember what I loved to read couple years back. It's been a while since I had a book like this. It completes me. I Hope someday I can turn some of her words into melodies (only if I could) haha

Maybe you remember when I talked about Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur. It was my first real poetry book and I didn’t really enjoy it and because of that I distanced myself from poetry.

What a beautiful combination of love, grief, nature and science to create such awe-inspiring poems. This is a beautiful collection made to connect with each person on topics of happiness, falling in love, and living life. I am so glad I picked this up.

“See, if math were a life lesson we would learn how to count the number of times we’ve been let down. We would learn to subtract all of our pride, leaving us with understanding, leaving us with a will to persist. If geography were that of existence, we would take fieldtrips to the redwoods and breathe in their beauty, we would learn about how the universe is mapped out within our veins, how the Milky Way and Cassiopeia are dancing within our brains. “Sometimes I forget that we are all just living between the lines of life ― between the aches and the joys, between what is happy and what is sad within us. Sometimes I forget that I am not alone in that, for no one lives in either extreme ― in perpetual bliss or perpetual sorrow. We are all just playing with darkness and light, we are all just trying to find out harmony,” - Bianca Sparacino.

This book totally spoke to me in ways I didn't expect. At all. This is so brilliant that I have bookmarked almost every page of the book. If I could rate this for more than 5 stars, I would. This is, by far, the best collection of poems and essays which does not only talk about life, love, and pain but also the power of hope and positivity. I could read this over and over again without getting bored. If you love poetry and essays or you wanted to explore this genre or you're simply just a lover ...more

Each page speaks contrast. How there is flaw in beauty; hope in chaos; smile in tears. It focuses on yourself. It is empowering. What I also love about this book is that it is gender neutral. My feminist ass is satisfied. Bianca did a great job mentioning both men and women who might be going through the same thing. After all, this is all about surviving, loving and caring for oneself and others. Life in general knows no gender. We are all humans trying to live.

This book is about embracing both

The day I found her writings in Pinterest I fell in love immediately with them. Reading them make me feel I am sitting beside a really close friend and the words somehow comfort me. I know I’m such a mush over her works, and the admiration grows over time. This first book of her feels complete to me. Her words are fragile yet powerful; breaking yet mending. Will definitely read this over and over again! :”)

This book came into my life just in time when I badly needed something to comfort me.
I would like to thank all the coincidences that lead me into discovering this book, because it definitely made me feel 10 times better. Some of the poems written felt like they were written directly for me and it was as if the book was speaking to me. My only concern was some poems felt like it was plucked straight out of tumblr, but regardless, I enjoyed this a lot!

I wish I could write about love the way Bianca does. She puts into beautiful words all the things I believe in about love. I love how this modern poetry talks about healthy relationships with yourself and with other people, compared to other modern books I've read that romanticizes toxic relationships.

This book was pretty good, though a little difficult to find a paper copy (most of the people in my book club resulted in a eBook version, which just isn't the same). It's a short read, probably can be completed in one sitting and I ended up dog earring quite a few pages.

It was simply heartfelt and wonderful, and wonderfully written. It is something to revisit over and over again as a good reminder of the love within others, but also within ourselves.

“You will hurt people. You will hurt, and you will be hurt. However, you will also love, and you will be loved in the most magnificent ways. To live life is to understand that together these extremes thrive within us — our heart is both a blessing and a blade. To put our soul into the hands of someone who could wound it or heal it is quite possibly the most courageously beautiful risk we take. It is like looking someone right in the eye and saying “You may hurt me, but you may also love me, and I am willing to take that chance. I am willing to trust.” 20 likes
