Charlotte and Gage have had their battles (professionally) when the environmental management company she works for constantly puts roadblocks in the way of Gage's oil business (for good reasons of course, but irritating none-the-less). When it turns out that she's inherited a piece of land from his father (with whom she was friends, not knowing that his son was her nemesis) Gage is upset, particularly since he had expected it to be his. As Charlotte is in the US from Australia on a work permit o ...more blog~

Sweet Texas Fire is the second book of three in this series written by three different authors. I Admit I enjoyed this book better than the first. The characters are more mature and likable. Not that I hated book one's H/h but I wasn't their biggest fan. That said, Gage and Charlotte were great characters. Both were independent, fearless and stood for what they believed in. The premise of this story leads us to a fake marriage. While much of the book was predictable, I didn't mind as "f

When oilman Gage's father dies unexpectedly and leaves a coveted piece of property with prime oil deposits to his arch nemesis -the environmental engineer - and he gets stuck with a percentage of a family company that he wants nothing to do with, and an old key, you can be safe to say that he is more than a little heated.

When Charlotte and Gage meet face to face for the first time and realize that she isn't a stodgy old maid and he certainly doesn't resemble Colonel Sanders, the two unlock horns

I think I LOVE Nicole!!! This is my new favorite author. I could really feel the emotions the author was portraying. I felt like I was on a roller coaster from start to finish.
I can't get over the explosive chemistry Gage and Charlotte had from their first in person meeting. Gage wanted to meet the woman his father left "Gage's" house and land to. Charlotte wasn't what he expected from their phone conversations. And Gage's attitude was exactly what Charlotte expected.

Sweet Texas Fire brings us the second story in the multi-author series (trilogy) of Sweet Texas Secrets. The Cooper brothers got quite a surprise at the reading of their father’s will, not only did they not get what they expected but what they saw as rightfully theirs was given to three unexpected women. Their father might have been delusional or matchmaking but none of them was taking this calmly – least of all Gage.

Charlotte and Gage certainly got off on the wrong f

Sweet Texas Fire is the second Sweet Texas Secrets books with this one written by Nicole Flockton. This series deals with a family of sons that stood to inherit property and business that they had invested their lives in along with their father, The late Mr. Cooper pulled a fast one on his sons changing his will, with what seems to be a plan to help them find love along with purpose in their lives. Quite an impressive premise with a different author writing each of the brothers’ stories. While e ...more

In this series, each story is written by a different author. This one is written by a new-to-me author. I really enjoyed the way she wrote the connection between Charlotte and Gage, as well as Gage and his brothers.

One of the things I loved about this story is that it delved into Gage’s dad a bit more than the first book did. While the underlying theme to all the stories is their dad and his will and the reason he did what he did, I felt it wasn’t delved into as deeply in the first stor

Book two in the multi-author Sweet Texas Secrets series, Sweet Texas Fire stars youngest son Gage Cooper, who’s made his name and his fortune as an oil well owner after screwing up his chances of a football scholarship years earlier. Now thirty, Gage is all about the next well, although he’s also resentful that his father left the plot of land he’d been promised to Australian environmentalist Charlotte Wilkinson.

This is the second book in the series. When Gage Cooper's father passed he left the land he promised to Gage to Charlotte. Gage knows Charlotte as a pain in the butt who enforces environmental controls on his oil sites. He has only dealt with her over the phone. In light of this new development he decides he has to have a face to face with this old gray haired lady who is messing up his future. Charlotte has no idea why she has inherited the piece of lady from a man she only met a few times. She ...more

They may be enemies though they have never met one another but when Charlotte Wilkinson and Gage Cooper actually meet in the flesh the attraction between them is strong This leads to a slow burn romance that will keep you engaged until you turn the last page

Gage is an oil man who has had quite a few run ins with the environmental management company that Charlotte works for in fact he thinks that old maid has it in for him. All he really wants his to drill on one particular block of land that his

Although the book started off well and I was pulled in, somewhere along the story it lost me. The fake marriage plot wasn't convincing, and I had conflicting feelings about the characters. There were descriptive sex scenes that in a way seemed a little thrown in just to raise the steam level of the story, but I didn't feel they happened at the right time. Instead of increasing the chemistry between the characters, to me they felt a little rushed. Maybe it's just me.

Charlotte is a beautiful, smart woman who’s kicking ass in a male dominated work environment (growing up with 3 brothers helped with that) and Gage is a gorgeous oil man who messed up in his youth and is trying to make up for it.
In the beginning they hated each other but once they met everything changed. Now I will admit I would have liked to see more of the hate relationship between them. I think that would have brought a bit more heat/excitement to their story but I did like how romantic Gage

This is such a great series. I really enjoyed the first book and I was really looking forward to reading Gage’s book. Let me just say that this book was so worth the wait. Gage and Charlotte honestly did not get off to the best start. When push came to shove they both stand up for what is right. Let me just say that their marriage of convenience was a start of something great. Amazing read from start to finish. A great read, the second in this series.
Charlotte is left a parcel of land in Texas. Problem is she is on a work visa from Australia and may need to return home soon.
Gage desperately wants to buy the land from Charlotte so he can start drilling for oil. What starts as a business arrangement marriage to help her stay in the country and get him is land back soon starts to feel too real as they spend more time together.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.

The second book in the series, which can be read as a stand alone as well.

Jack passed away and in his will he didn't leave the boys everything that he promised he would. Gavin was to get a house but Jack left it to Macy.

He had a piece of land that Jack had bought but never lived in it or visited it. Gage wanted it because there was oil on the property. Charlotte inherited it from Jack and wants to make it a weekend retreat to get out of the city.

A really good book

This is a new author to me and the story was enjoyable. Gage’s life isn’t going as planned and he’ll do anything to change that. Things aren’t going much better for Charlotte. She has what he wants but may have to leave it behind. Can the two of them come to an agreement that will benefit them both? Could have done without the bad language.

If your looking for a sweet romance this is your book. Gage and Charlotte are absolutely adorable together but they have to fight to get there. It definitely has some sad moments but that makes the end result that much sweeter.

Sweet Texas Romance

Gage and Charlotte have an unconventional start to their marriage, but manage to work it out. The underlying theme is that money is not the end all, and there’s so much more to life.

Another trite marriage-of-convenience story with nothing much else to say about it. Decently written, this shallow story is built on some popular themes but never caught my interest.

The father's will shakes everything up

Their crazy father must be telling them something, but what is it. The piece of land with guaranteed oil that he was promised, has been.left to a woman...A stranger. Very interesting characters. Good writing and a sweet ending.
