The Chronicles of Dan Lee O'Brien
These stories put Irish mythology into a modern context by following the adventures of anti-hero, Dan Lee O'Brien, a pipe smoking, trench coat wearing, bike riding magician and investigator of the supernatural. An older, more laid back John Constantine, Dan Lee is the man for all things strange and Otherworldly.

About the author
David R. Jordan
6 books2 followers I’m writing out of Cork, Ireland, where I was born and bred. As well as writing fiction and poetry I play the bass guitar. Steve Harris from Iron Maiden is my bass god. My favourite author is either WB Yeats or James Joyce – I can’t decide which, but I also love popular fiction, especially dark fantasy: Clive Barker, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King and Alan Moore are all huge influences on my writing.
I love to quote. My current favourite quote is by the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche: ‘You need to have some chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.’
I love dogs, the great outdoors and coffee. My favourite film is A River Runs Through It. My favourite song is Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix.

REVIEW:
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5️⃣ (3.5/5)
"The Chronicles of Dan Lee O'Brien" by David Jordan overflows in an abundance of magic, mystery, and adventure. It was rather interesting to read all the complex words of Irish mythology terms. Overall, the book was well done, but it starts out dry leading to a feeling of confusion. As a reader, I prefer a solid entrance to a book so that I know what the story revolves around. I do believe this would be a tricky task though, due to the format of a compilation of short stories.

My favourite short story was "The Last Milesian". A man named Amergin falls in love with the goddess Eriu. She grows tired of her role as the national muse, and instead wants to find freedom, craving a wealthy amount of wanderlust to find herself. Eriu and Amergin travel Ireland together, sharing banters of laughter, creating a connection of love. With due time, Eriu realizes that she must return to her role. This story is light-hearted and romantic, yet still manages to conjure emotion.

If you are searching for a genre to broaden your horizons, I suggest Irish mythology. Better yet I suggest you read this book

This Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review.
This was a amazing book. I love the fantasy the imagery and the timeless folklore that David Jordan's creativity has spun into this story. I couldn't put it down for a second! Jordan's brilliant worlds captures the audience's attention and intrigue bringing all wonder of the imagination to life!
Coming from a Celtic background these stories captured my interest from the start, Jordan fascinates and concurs you right from the start with tales of fay creatures but one that got me most and sticks with me is the story of Odin. I have always been fascinated with all of the stories of Odin my whole life and Jordan puts a spin on this wonderful tale and he uses cernunnos, who is a big deal among us wiccans, to draw Dan in. I would think a big and powerful man such as Odin wouldn't need the help of someone like the horned god lol but hey it made me hooked on the story. Odin is so wise and calm it always contradicted his warlike persona, he has always been the wise father figure who is calm and endearing in a crises but stern when needed.
David Jordan is a intelligent and creative author and I enjoyed each and every one of his stories! each one connected to the next and each creature and gods story more interesting. Dan Lee was a part of it all and his life was so interesting and rich, everyone Knew him and there wasn't anyone's life he didn't touch. Greatest Stories Ever!
