Review written for Love Bytes Reviews.

Most times when a set of characters has gotten their own focus book, you might see them as secondary characters somewhere else in the series but that’s pretty much it. I can’t even begin to tell you how thrilled I was to find that Coke and Dillon had a second story for them to shine in! Book four in the Roughstock series begins before the end of book three so you can see what’s going on with Coke and Dillon after the horrifying events that left Sam in the ho

Wow! Wow, oh wow, oh wow! I’m a tad bit flabbergasted, not quite speechless, but certainly don’t know where to begin. Coke’s Clown returns the focus back to Coke and Dillon’s relationship and it turns out to be one heck of a ride. Let me start by saying that I so very much appreciate that Tortuga didn’t treat And a Smile as Coke and Dillon’s happily ever after. Granted, this is an ongoing series about a small group of rodeo

Shelves: gay, read-2016
Bullfighter Coke and his lover, rodeo clown Dillon, are back in the second part of their story – and what a story it turned out to be. There are revelations about Coke’s past that made my mind boggle. The story picks up with Coke’s perspective on Sam’s accident, the one that landed him in a coma in the previous book. Coke and Dillon have to work hard to keep growing their relationship, and several of the secondary characters that have been part of this series continue to add a unique flavor to t ...more

I just finished reading Comes Clown and once again I was impressed with BA Tortuga. I first started reading this book without having read the books in this series before it and I was lost. So I went back and read other books in the series so I knew who was who and what all the nick names are for whom and whom was with who. So that would be the one point that I would make about this book to others..., read the books in this series before this so you know where you are and what has happened leadin ...more

Dillon has made up his mind—no more Gramps or Fearless Pharris for Coke. He’s going to take control and get his man well. Dillon’s plans are going fairly well until AJ makes that last frantic call about Missy. Coke, Dillon, and the pups ar ...more

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

I have read all the books in the series to date, and found this to be at quite a different tempo. It is set in the off season, with everyone recovering from an exhausting run, and a lot of pain. Sam in particular, has suffered a catastrophic head injury.

Coke, perceived by all to be the fixer and person who takes on all their problems, is hurting too, and utterly shattered. Dillon, his lover determines that he must get C

The good and bad side of series books.

Good, You get to follow people through there lives, relationships etc.

Bad side, if you don’t read in order there is a good possibility you will miss a section of said lives.

So I read book two, skipped three and now read this one. All the same players are in these books and just like two, this one focuses on Coke and Dillon. as well as Sam, Jason and Bax.

So in book two we got these two together, and now we get to find out how they are doing. How they can surv

Coke and Dillon are learning to live together, and heading out to Dillon’s ranch in Ohio after the Rodeo tour season is over for a few months. Dillon wants to spend some alone time getting to know Coke a little more, and just being together. But Coke is the cornerstone of their Rodeo family, and everyone constantly wants a piece of him. Nevertheless he loves spending time with his clown, and is thankful for the blessings he has, and the time off to just be.

Another great installment in the roughstock story

This one tugs at your heartstrings. It helps fill in some backstory and set the stage for the next books. A little more drama. A little less sex. But an excellent story.
