I always enjoy these kinds of stories, the girl who had a crush on her brothers friend. Luci had a crush on Cody in high school, nothing ever came of it since he was older and especially once he left town to become a free-lance photographer. Luci has now finished college and is starting her own career when Cody shows up back in her life. She thinks her crush is over, but having to spend so much time working together those old feelings are hard to keep away. I liked that ...more
But I read this at a time when my real life was quite stressful and a complete break from anything remotely "real world" was what I needed. Pleasant but it didn't light my world on fire.

I found this book at a book sale, and I gravitated towards it because the synopsis seemed good... like a cute summer read. And I think it’s a cute book. It’s about a girl who falls for her brother’s friend, except the guy doesn’t return the feelings since he’s 6 years older than her. Then they part ways because the guy has always liked adventures, and fast forward to some years later and they returns to his hometown for the summer, and the girl realizes that her feelings towards him ...more
You can come home again .. but will it ever be the same as you remembered it?
I enjoyed this story. The characters are fun with a lot of potential there -- would have liked to have seen them decide to test their relationship waters earlier in the book.
Luci Monroe has finished up school and is coming back home to Willow Beach to be close to her family. She's landed a great job doing PR and is ready to start living her life.
